movomo Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 I have several steel' date=' iron and chainmail armors in pack 2 (which unfortunately does require pack 1 to be installed first). There are pictures of what is in pack 2 in the second post. I should have pictures up for the armors of pack 1 in a day or so. As to leather armors, I do plan to do some in pack 3 (they are quite tasty if I do say so myself) but that is a ways off. I have never seen any ebony so that probably won't happen. Glass is a possibility that I have kicked around and it will probably make pack 3. Remember I can't create stuff with blender so it has to be an existing mod that will allow me to pull off pieces (no vanilla armors or robes as most of them just plain are difficult to mess with). Links to screenshots along with links to download the armor you want, are the best way to get me motivated to make or include that armor for pack 3. [/quote'] You're willing to make pack 3? awesome. I haven't played Oblivion for several months, and now I found this compilation pack is much easier to deal with than Jealco's pack, you know. Thanks for all the hard works. I hope you to put DC Maid back, if UFF skeleton is the problem I'll try reweight it. If I succeed (after figure out what body was used for DCMaid ) I'll send you DC Maid and MH Khezu BU. Since I haven't played OB for some time I need to adjust myself to blender again... And as for adding BU to vanilla armors, I don't think it's a good idea. Since vanilla armors(and so many replacers) already exist, making their BU version is quite easy but, I don't know how to make BU to distinguish wearer's sex and many of the enemies are male. If it is possible, well, it's cool.

The body is pretty horrible to be honest (it also is the UFF one) and in dire need of someone updating it to either HGEC or DMRA. I had to manually remap the skin textures to get them to look right (they still are not real good as I am not skilled at remapping). I would be extremely happy to include anything that you make in pack 3!! You are correct that the BU system does not allow "replacer" armor as it can not do an armor for both sexes. You can make male only armor or female only armor but not an armor that works for both.

I fixed this at one point but when I put the original plus all patches file together I must have included the wrong meshes somehow. I will have to remedy this as soon as I double check the rest of them. Sorry. EDIT: I looked at again and you are right in that the "B" meshes are incorrect. They all should have been black jacket with the black sleeves with the see thru black body suit. I am going to go back through the whole pack later today to make sure I did not screw anything else up before I issue the patch.

gregathit Posted October 16, 2012 Author Posted October 16, 2012 No worries' date=' with that many files its bound to happen. Aisha folder has an extra sub folder, meshes, with an extra robeL3.nif that is larger than the one in the main folder... [/quote'] That is another sloppy error on my part. The one in the sub folder was meant to overwrite the one in the main folder. The one in the main folder does not have working BBB (even thought the nif has the bones the body is not weight painted). I will add that to the list of things to fix. Crap, just when I thought I had pack 1 to the point I could forget about it. Sorry folks.
varenne Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Now that I know where the extra mesh goes I can PyFFI the Armors2 next. I didn't find any blazing issues with Armors, so I'll run some partial preliminary tests on Armors2 before posting a link to the replacement meshes.
movomo Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 The body is pretty horrible to be honest (it also is the UFF one) and in dire need of someone updating it to either HGEC or DMRA. Unfortunantely, it seems blender 2.49b cannot import the DCmaid body. I tried PyFFI the mesh but didn't work, displayed errors and crashed. I have no choice but converting it to HGEC. ( How did you remap its UV?? ) On the bright side of things... yes, the UFF body is pretty horrible to be honest.

[/quote'] Actually, I just pointed to the HGEC texture and then zoomed in and adjusted the existing UV map through Nifskope, until I got it looking halfway decent. It was far from perfect (or even good) but it got the job done if you didn't look to terribly close. Doing a complete UV remap is beyond my present knowledge right now. Yea, converting it to HGEC would be a vast improvement! I would be honored to include in in pack 3 if you get it done. Take your time as I don't have time to even start working on pack 3 until mid November. My goal is to release pack 3 some time between after Thanksgiving but before Christmas.
varenne Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 PyFFIed Armors2 plus Weapons Here's last night's run of PyFFI on the Armors2 and Weapons folders. I break tested 3 that I use, only walk tested the rest of them. I did not review or test any of the weapons. Again if anyone has issues with these PyFFIed meshes, simply revert back to Gregathit's original meshes. Download: http://www.4shared.com/archive/wcn-8lIA/Armors2Weapons.html Addtional Notes: SPB's erosailor had an extra neck colar (comprised of 3 blocks) for break2, 3 and 4 that I deleted. It was not in break1 nor in any of the versions I have of Erosailor. Also noted that break1 is not BBBified, and that break2-4 the body is BBBfied and not the shirt. Not asking for a fix, I know you're way to busy at the moment. I may in fact take a shot at this since it is one of my favorite's from SPB. I'll provide an update if and when I'm successful. @Gregathit Technical Note on reply user interface Been having issues with the user interface and the short cuts for tags; font color, size, bold etc. Since I'm experiencing this on both of my PCs I doubt it's on my end. May be an LL server issue.

I already have on my list to take a look at each and every file and will update the Pack 1 download with a new all in link - as well as release a pack 1 patch for those that already download\installed it. One of these days I will get it right. I want to test your PyFFIed meshes myself and if you are in agreement I may just include them as an alternate standalone download in the OP (I'll need to add the textures, esp and ini files plus the folder structure but that is easy enough). If that is fine with you I will give you all the credit (I really don't deserve or want any credit for this anyway as I have just taken other folks work and merged it together - no rock science in that). @Gregathit Technical Note on reply user interface Been having issues with the user interface and the short cuts for tags; font color' date=' size, bold etc. Since I'm experiencing this on both of my PCs I doubt it's on my end. I am having the same problems as well as others - there was a thread about it in the general section. I did alert Ashal so hopefully something can be done about it.

'Credit' is also not necessary either, what I do is for the Oblivion community as a whole, not to feed my ego, since well I don't have one any more, lol. If you need me to restructure the folders/sub-folders let me know, easy enough for me to do on my end post PyFFIcation.
Guest Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 For pack 1, how do I install part two? I get this unreadable file. Is it supposed to be "7zip.002" at the end?

[/quote'] Check you 7z settings. You should see one for .001 file type in options. If not upgrade to the latest 7z. and then select it. That controls a multi-part archive which is what the two parts are, and you only need to unzip the .001 file, the .002 and if there were more, .003, .004, etc. would automatically be rejoined during the unzip process.
movomo Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 @gregathit Ok. I converted DCmaid to HGEC Ecup, BBB, no bouncing butt. As I changed whole shape, its BU variants are effectively useless now. I will remake them from scratch. ..I just cannot stop doing what I started till finish. Except studying. I can stop studdyng anytime anywhere. ...Anyway, if you want something fixed or need minor change you can leave it to me. Maybe I can work 2 or 3 things before Christmas. And, I found the Velveteen BU from my hard disk. I don't remember where I got this but I guess it's from Nightwynd's BU links. Original file is from the Nexus. This is modified esp and all files. Note that this is very rare A cup BU, and for some reason ( I don't know why ) BU version is wearing black&white two panties. lol FormID 3132 http://www.mediafire.com/?yj29kk9hagx0pk3 @varenna May I ask a question? I want to PyFFI my meshes folder, including original BSA. If I unpack the BSA archives, optimize and repack, will the game run? ( I mean Archive Invalidation issue) And, you usually exlude what kind of files? (I once asked same question to Prophour, but never responded. :3)

If I unpack the BSA archives, optimize and repack, will the game run? ( I mean Archive Invalidation issue) And, you usually exlude what kind of files? (I once asked same question to Prophour, but never responded. :3) [/quote'] Always! Ask away! When unpacking a BSA and anytime you then change any file from it, and prior to repacking, you need to use a program to change the dates back to preferably the original date. (I also think there is a function in OBMM for this but I have not tested it.) As far as file exclusion, I tend avoid hair and helmets, although the latest version of PyFFI did not seem to have issue with those in this, gregathit's MOD. Any animated hairs I would definitely avoid. Helmets, it depends on how it interacts with the head and hair mesh I think. Others like animated vines found in caves also had issues, some shields, some robes. Seems meshes with animations attached can be a problem. Those are so far what I've found directly, or read about in the PyFFI site. (I have to find this tomorrow for you, it's on my desktop PC and I'm on my laptop tonight.) Here's one link that is still somewhat useful, especially see the sections titled "Optimize and Repack the Original Meshes BSA" and "The Vanilla meshes with leading spaces (to watch out for when you repack your BSA) ": http://tescosi.com/wiki/Oblivion:Python_File_Format_Interface ALWAYS ALWAYS backup your BSA's and meshes prior to running PyFFI. I also do not use the UI version and prefer the command line version, running it on individual folders OUTSIDE of my Oblivion data folder, even on another hard drive. Reason is it previously and more than once, totally trashed my Oblivion instance so I avoid that.

ghostmist17 Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 I'd just like to say thank you for this - I have been playing with Kirin armor since it was released ages ago (I think) - its just always been my armor of choice... Then one day I heard about BBB for Kirin and I searched the edges of the earth for the files and finally - after a long and taxing quest I found them and played with them and felt accomplished. Then.. I heard of BU Kirin - OMG I thought, could it be true? Well it was - but only after taking up another epic quest, traveling distant lands, battling evil monsters, and getting kissed by a prince - before I actually acquired the files - completing a world saving... nay universe saving quest of massive proportion. Alas, I could not figure out how to get the BU and the BBB to work at the sametime - oh the agony!!!! Now - I have a Kirin BU armor with BBB - I don't know how it was done, I almost don't want to know, I just want to say thank you! ...mmm... also the other armors are cool too

varenne Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 Oh my. I'll do this right now. Hopefully I've never used Qskope from the first time. And I need to update NifSkope too it's 1.1.0 but revision number is outdated. Example of how I use it. Right mouse click on mesh folder' date=' select Optimize with PyFFI. (Today I'm PyFFIng one of Colourwheel's MODs, since I use parts of it in game.) Proof it doesn't hang, blow up or otherwise cause the earth to be sucked down into one very tiny black hole... This is a helmet with an egm file associated to it, this version of PyFFIed and this 'start' method skips right over it; notice that the dates of all other files but these two have changed post the PyFFI process. There is another method for running the PyFFI scripts, but that was the one that corrupted my Oblivion install so I avoid using it. It may have improved since 2.1.5 but I'm not willing to test it just yet. There is also a method for running both BSAs and individual files via an In and Out set of folders where you installed PyFII to. See the documentation for more details on how to use that. Apologies gregathit for taking this so far down a tangent. Returning you to your regularly broadcast station, channel and post...

This is good information that I as well as others can benefit from! Thanks' date=' kindly Gregathit. I looked over this thread roughly while PyFFI is toasting my folder, and what I felt was, I wonder why you didn't learn blender. I mean, I'm pretty sure that you've spent at least 100- most likely over 150 hours for this pack (it's the nifkope hell, if i should edit hundreds of thousands of nifs i'd rather die). However you need only 3 hours of learn to convert a stone to BBB and only 30 hours of studying to make your own armor. Because you don't even need weight-painting skills for converting BBB or rigging new outfit. Scripts do everything. After you learn basic interface of blender, you can do whatever you want. Actually It needed much more trial&errors for me because English isn't my native language..well anyway. And regardless of above, and as I said before you can simply ask me to take care of something needs blender work. Definitely I'm not a pro or skilled but I personally like Breakundies. It's the reason why I'm sticking with this thread lately. For now I'll try grabbing BU armors from the internet or finding Nifs with minor clipping/BBB issues. (or perhaps playing game lol) Edit: Plus, how about you add add and let people know setequippedcurrenthealth command in the OP for test purpose? It is OBSE function but works fine in console window as well. like, [b']Player.SetEquipppedCurrentHealth XXX 20(or 19)[/b] where XXX is the armor's health and 20 or 19 means the slot number. most of armors in this pack is slot 20 - upper, lower, hand, foot and some of them are 19 - upper, lower, foot)
