StrangestThing Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 you are not supposed to have these two armors - they are bugged. they were made for earlier versions of the body skeleton and were removed from the gameworld in later patches of this compilation. In short: don't use them. they might be back later though.
RandomUser88 Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 I finally decided to give the BU framework a try and it's working pretty fine. Most armors are really cool but I have some questions. 1. Is the Mai Shiranui outfit supposed to be blue? Just asking, because the official color is red. 2. I downloaded and applied all the patches, I get the 4 chests in testing hall but two of them (weapons and misc) are empty. Are they like that until a next patch, or did I do a step wrong?
StrangestThing Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 @RandomUser88I think the mai outfit is blue because the original was blue. gregathit just included the original into this compilation. The two chests might be reserved for future content. AFAIK they are empty ATM. @gregathit about the elven sorceresses outfits. i have notices some more clipping on these. they probably weren't made for BBB. anyways, on the first and second BU models the breasts clip through the lower part of the top so it looks like the shreds are coming from the breast without being connected to any cloth - this is almost invisible on idle animation but is more visible on other animations. i might be wrong here, but I think that this particular armor consists of 3 sections (or maybe just 2) and BU is handled by making parts of a section transparent (change the texture of a segment to torn) then removing it and proceeding to change the texture on the next segment. what I am getting at is maybe you could make the bottom section disappear entirely instead of having it's texture changed. Or, you can do some texture editing if you can. this is most visible on purple and is less visible on the white transparent outfit another thing is I noticed that MC mage is transparent in the nif viewer but not so in the actual game - is this intended? its nothing major, just a personal preference, but I would appreciate some extra transparent outfits

[/quote'] 1. I never found any red textures for it. If you can find a red texture pack then I "should" be able to get a red version of it made. 2. Sigh...... I guess with all the bold colored fonts the details are being missed. The answer to your question is right in the OP: "All Armors in both chests should now be breakable. I will populate the other two chests at a later date (one is for weapons and one for misc items like shields and helms)." @ lekhanhtrung - StrangestThing is right, those two armors "should not" be used. If you installed all the patches correctly and then you should not be able to get them. Those armors were built a very long time ago by a mod maker that used a custom skeleton. I would love to "fix" them but that will require blender and I do not posses the skill with that program yet to attempt it. Maybe someday..... @StrangestThing - the Elven sorceress robe is actually made up of 3 parts. As it gets "destroyed" it looses a part. The problem is that the outfit is barely bigger than the breasts and doesn't look like it was weight painted to match the breasts (so they would both bounce and slide around alike). Again this gets into using blender which I am slowly messing with, but it is 1 step forward and 20 steps back. It pisses me off because the transparent blue outfit is one of my personal favorites! The MC mage top that was included in the 2nd patch is not transparent. The belted sash holding the bottom of the top however "is" transparent. I "could" make the top transparent to "match" the belt if you want. That would take all of 5 seconds to do with nifskope.
RandomUser88 Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Okay thanks for the replies and sorry. I read the posts with all my attention but sometimes I miss the most important details.
StrangestThing Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Yeah, I'd like some extra transparent outfits so it would be appreciated! ...just don't make it invisible as for Aisha - it works well and BBB is there. Though it looks kinda weird with the destroyed top somehow still hanging on the body and even managing to push the breasts together as if it were made of metal. even though I liked the previous nude version more, this one has BBB so its all good. another thing is - could you possibly create another BU INI for all the expert-master armorers out there who can repair their armor to 125% so that destruction would start from somewhere around 90 and be more spread out through the 125% armor durability? or is this impossible? because I don't have a good understanding of how BU ini works from looking into it...
gregathit Posted September 16, 2012 Author Posted September 16, 2012 7th patch is going up in a few minutes. It includes the following: 1. The last BU Aisha fix previously posted that has BBB enabled. 2. Fixed Sword Dancer so the gal keeps her feet in her sandals (all three outfits). 3. MC mage now has a semi-transparent top. 4. The Sword Dancer's outfits have been tweaked to be semi-transparent (all three outfits). @StrangestThing: I will take a look at the outfits in the pack and see if there are any that make sense to make semi-transparent. It doesn't take much time to do that so it is no big deal. As to the BU system, what you are asking for is not at all possible. The ini only tells the game what model to switch to at certain damage points. The switch is a factor of how many BU models there are and it divides between them to make the breaks. So it is not possible to "set" damage points as it is already set via scripts inside the BU framework esp. I am afraid of trying to jack with that plugin for fear of breaking it. Scripting is not my cup of tea! So in summary the BU system is already set via BU Framework and to illustrate how it functions: If there are 4 BU models then you have the following breakdown: 100-75 model 1 75-50% model 2 50-25% model 3 25-0% model 4 As you can see the only way to have a greater spread is to have more BU models. Now it is certainly true that the 125% repairs do jack things around but all that is really doing is upping the base durability. I "can" compensate for that a bit by lowering the durability of the armors in the esp. If you don't like the values that the OOO adjusted esp has set, then I can tweak them down to be more breakable which "sort of" gets you where you are wanting to go. I would leave the "protection" values alone and just drop the durability. Let me know your thoughts. Greg
gregathit Posted September 16, 2012 Author Posted September 16, 2012 1. Is the Mai Shiranui outfit supposed to be blue? Just asking' date=' because the official color is red. [/quote'] Since I suck at texturing as badly as I do at using blender, unless I can find some alternate textures, this is the best I can come up with. I was able to "sort of" change colors by tweaking the values of the Specular and Diffuse values inside Nifskope. Here is what I came up with: It is pretty rough and just quick and dirty color change. To do it properly would either require making the red textures or finding some already made. If you like it, I can see about working into the next patch.
Yvell Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 I downloaded a red BU version a year ago, and can't find it anymore... The link seems to be broken... ( http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=31414 )
DeadSomething Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 i got a little idea: for testing purposes, can you add two spells with the "corrode armor" spell? one on self and one on target? that would make everything easier.
StrangestThing Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 @gregathit: about the durability - it is fine as it is durability-wise, I can get the armors broken with no problems in melee fights, so there is no need to tweak the durability. (at least for the light armors as I didn't play with heavies too much yet) about the sword dancers: they are transparent now, so thats great, thank you! but there is something weird about the black and red outfits - they are never transparent in the inventory screen and in third person they are transparent until i zoom so close to the PC that she disappears and when I zoom out the outfits lose transparency. if I unequip and reequip them - the transparency in third person is back. the MC mage and shadow dancer gray are fine though - maybe it is something about the black and red textures.. additionally, I think the shadow dancer's black belt is not transparent - it is hardly noticeable and doesn't change much but if you want to make them consistent with one another you could change the black one too.. EDIT: actually, it might not be the case of losing transparency but reducing it: the MC mage and shadow dancer grey don't lose their transparency but have it reduced. on all the shadow dancer outfits the pants for example have their transparency reduced as well. as for the tops: gray gets reduced transparency and black and red get no transparency after zooming in-out.

[/quote'] Well, I have no clue on the zoom in, zoom out deal. The funny thing is all three outfits were made from the exact same set of models. I just changed the textures to get different colors for the shadow dancer. On the black version's belt, I just forgot to tweak the alpha to make it semi-transparent to match the top. That is easy to fix in nifskope if you know how, or I will do it in an upcoming patch. I am still hoping to pump out some more armors in a couple of weeks but the packs will likely be smaller and come out more frequently. The first pack took me about 3-4 months to put together (I forget exactly how long, I just know that it seemed to take forever). I am also going to throw in some weapons this next patch. I am going to tag a few of them with enchantments. One in particular will be a very low damage sword that inflicts huge armor deterioration. Any other requests? My scripting skills are pretty limited so nothing too fancy (unless you are willing to write it). Shields and helms will also be thrown in. Note: none of the shields or helms will be breakable the way the armor is. Some of the armors I am going to include in the new pack are from the DKNC project, Hentai Mania, Eisen Platte (several colors) and I am "hoping" I can mashup a new version of the Iruma armor. So far it has kicked my butt.... Are there any other armors you guys know of? My goal is to eventually have every single BU armor that exists in this pack. If you find something that is merit worthy just include a link for me to grab it!

gregathit Posted September 16, 2012 Author Posted September 16, 2012 Here's a already red BBB+BU version... Link: Mai SHIRANUI RED BBB Cool! The only bad news is that I will have to rename the dds files and redo the texture paths in all four nif files to their new names. If I didn't do this the red would overwrite the blue textures... However, that is far easier to do than try to make texture files from scratch!!!!! I appreciate the help and I will include it in the next update.
MoodWhiplash Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 gregathit, are you open to the idea of including the meshes for armors that had cup sizes smaller than H in a future release? Subtlety can be a thing of beauty. Thanks for the updates.

Subtlety can be a thing of beauty. Thanks for the updates. [/quote'] If it is a breakable armor then I am game! In the next pack there will be a number of C and D cups as that is what the hentai armors are based on. My only deal was if an armor had multiple cup sizes "then" I went with the larger one. Honestly I am more interested in the armors having BBB than a certain cup size. Cheers, Greg
StrangestThing Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 can we have some previews of the upcoming armors?

Than it's just a matter of some site translations, a little detective work plus some simple Google-Fu. That one took me about 12 minutes to find on the 'Net after reviewing a Chinese site to find the original file name.
StrangestThing Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 na ultra light armor seems to have misaligned panties on the second BU model: they are misaligned with the black leather patches and laces on the back of them

Try the temp quick fix below to see if that fixes her up. I will issue a formal patch once I have either more bug fixes or more armors done. I am hoping to release a small addition (10 or so new armors) late this weekend. I am going to probably stick to small addons in the future with the goal of releasing 1 small pack a month until we get them all. Temp fix:
StrangestThing Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 the fix seems to work fine - the black leather bits are now properly aligned with the panties
jealco Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Wow, Greg, I take off to beta test a few other games, come back, and there's like 6 new patches I have to download....you've been busy man. Thanks for all the hard work!
