How do we start the transformation already so that paul dont keep saying that hes tired.

The transformation should begin after your first milking. It progresses by further milkings. The tired dialogue has to do with hoofshoes for feet and hands after they change to hooves (iirc).

I'm having an issue that may or may not be BAC-related. Quite possible it is either MME or Milk Addict... not sure. Basically, the first time my character got milked, the belly expanded greatly. Nothing I do seems to reduce the size of the belly... I'm using SLIF as well. I like a little belly expansion, but what's going on with my character seems kinda extreme...

I also have a request... since it seems some work is being done on the mod! Would it be possible to add a milking station of some sort near the stables, perhaps in this empty corner? Obvious compatibility becomes a concern, but it's always felt a bit... weird... having to go all the way into town every time I need to milk when I "working" with Paul.

I recommend this mod (SE version here). It places Milk punps at every farm and most mills. It wouldn't be at the stables but at Pelagia farm, Chillfurrow farm, Battle-Born farm and so on. Alternatively, this mod which does the same. Pumps sometimes appear just after your first visit to the farm, because they are added dynamically at cell init.

@botticelli did you make it so that mutations can keep happening, based on MCM selections? I.e., they can change if a new mutation is triggered? Basically, suppose I originally get Slim Cow. If a random mutation is triggered at some point, could it possibly change to Curvy Cow? And on and on as they get triggered? Or is it still one-and-done based on original mutations?

Curvy Cow does not have any prerequisite, so it can trigger at any time if active. You can either be slim or fat (with Fat Cow extending into Short Arms, Large Hooves, Huge Hooves). Those are mutually exclusive. Tall Cow and Stunted (Short) Cow are mutually exclusive. Fast and Slow Metabolims are mutually exclusive. Anything else can still happen.

Does SLIF tell you which mod is messing with the belly? You could have MME belly scaling on.

That is done by MME. You want to disable belly scaling there *before* it turns you into a MilkMaid. BellyScaling in MME is calculated from your character's Lactacid score (0.5 scale points per Lactacid potion). Goto MME Debug Milk Maid (might need to enable Debug first) and set her Lactacid amount to 0 with the slider. If that returns the belly size to normal (milk her with the hotkey and without the pump, if not), try disabling belly scaling in MME settings, then exit MCM, enter again and put the Lactacid slider back to its original value (will go up to 100 only).

Milk Addict will scale up your ass with Lactacid, so you should have a look at that MCM setting, too.

Another candidate for this would be PSQ (Player Succubus Quest).

Milk Addict adds pumps to the farms?? Fantastic, as I already have this mod in my load order! :D Thanks!

Right. What I meant is... do the random mutations change if they continue to trigger per the MCM, or are you stuck with what you get when you first get your mutations assigned? I.e., if you are already a Curvy Cow, could a random mutation change that mutation to Slim Cow instead? If not... what do the random mutations do, aside from the initial leveling/mutating process?

Ah hah, I see. I did not have belly scaling turned off before being turned into a milk maid. The confusing thing was that even without any lactacid in my character, the belly was remaining huge. I saw that Pregnancy Belly was being affected in SLIF, but I could not determine which mod was causing it (it was under "SL Inflation Framework" in the browser).

ya i always turn off MME scaling for belly it just looks strange ;9 imo with all the other slif mods running. Milk Addict works great too with BAC as botticelli said play with scalar params.

As for milk pumps  I use campfire with MME campfire plugin so i can create a camp pump and place them anywhere @MysticDaedra

Regarding the belly issue... I think I had another mod affecting my character weight (Devious Body Alteration) at the moment that BAC first triggered. Is it possible that BAC saw this weight and assumed it was the "base" character weight? Because even after setting sliders in SLIF to 0 and turning off other body scaling options in other mods that affect weight, my character still looks quite chubby, even though I'm still at cow level... 3 or 4.

BAC takes your base weight as in "weight slider setting from RaceMenu" at the moment you turn into a cow. It does not look at belly settings from other mods. Depending on your mutations (Imaginary Pregnancy in particular), you can get quite a belly from BAC, but you would see that score in SLIF under BAC.

The mutations do not change each other. Once you get one, you are stuck with it. The only changeable ones are Slim vs. Fat cow with the weight switch potion.

Hi just to be sure i cant seem to be able to be capture by bandit like i was use to be before i am owned by paul or even if i want to go foward with paul quest i cant seem to get it right. At the moment im at stage 5 of transforming and my curent quest is to ask him about transforming more, but he says im not farter enough. Is that so ? I feel like last time i did i was searching for marc at this point ?

Ah ha! That partially explains it, then. Devious Body Alteration had increased my weight to about .23, and now it's basically stuck there. I normally like to start at 0 body weight, as it seems to make changes more dramatic. I don't suppose there's any way to "reset" BAC's base body weight, is there? I'd hate to go back several saves, but I guess I will if I must.

Stage 5 is definitely too early, you need to be at stage 14 (full hooves) for that to work. But that is the regular blacksmith dialogue, not the questline. So either you defeat the hunters and ask Paul "Paul I beg You! Help Me!" or you get defeated by the hunters and the other part should run. You only get to the hunters after completing quest "Who I Am" and starting quest "Unowned".

The weight is taken the moment you register as cow (when proceeding to stage 1) and no, it can't be reset. I scrapped Devious Body Alterations because it resulted in save game bloats in the later game (Skyrim being unable to load those save files with ~1100 instances of one particular DBA script).

I just checked my save (I'm at 22 hours in this playthrough) and there are only 17 script instances of DBA, with no duplicates. So far so good!

Also... quick question about the main questline for BAC: Are the Hunter and Paul quests mutually exclusive, or can you do the Paul quests and then still get kidnapped by the hunters? Basically... I want to proceed with Paul, but I'd also like my character to experience the forced mutations that the hunters give (by rapidly acceleration the rate of transformation). Is that possible?

You can proceed with Paul up to the point when you have the bell and meet the hunters a 3rd time. Then, you must decide: either a) get caught and have the hunters process you or b) defeat them again and get the branding from Paul. After you've gotten that, there is no further option to do the other part.

Coming up: Version 1.9c

Changes:

  • Added tongues (slot 50). They grow from stage 2 every 2 stages up to stage 10 (if full length) You can set the default length in settings and you can set an individual length and height for each cow on the MilkMaid View page The height refers to mouth height in RaceMenu (-1..0..1 = setting 9..5..1)
  • Made the armored hooves to match color (you'll need to run BodySlide for all the new nifs)
  • Made nosering and nosering/bell combo nifs to go with nose area depth / nose length setting from RaceMenu. You'll need to set your cow's individual ring setting on the MailkMaid View page. The slider is int (0..400) instead of float, because I had a rounding issue when trying to convert a float to an int for indexing. Just divide the number by 100, and you should approximately have the slider value from RaceMenu. Steps are every 25 points (0.25 RaceMenu). I only made this for level noses (RaceMenu nose height setting 0). It required 187 .nifs and as much ArmorAddons and Armors just for one height setting and took a lot of time.
  • Also made a mixed combo with the small bell and the large ring (that better suits morphed cow noses). If you want to try that out, go to MilkMaid View page in MCM and tick the "Big Nosering" box. It will only work one way (small -> large), not the other, i. e. if you got the large ring from the hunters, you can't make it small this way (but you can tweak the faction below).
  • The item/tats factions now directly correspond to those meaning that a faction rank in any of those faction will trigger armored hooves, nosering, bell, and branding on any cow (There is no quest for that yet, so this should serve as a workaround, also give it some time until the update comes along to that particular cow). Do prid <id> and then addtofaction <rank> in the console, if you want to change rank later, do prid <id> and then setfactionrank <faction> <newrank>. Factions are (xx = ModNumber for BAC)
    • xx011061 bac_feet Rank 0 (or removed) = no armor, 1 = shoed hooves, 2 = covered shoed hooves
    • xx011062 bac_hands Rank 0 (or removed) = no armor, 1 = armored hands
    • xx011064 bac_nose Rank 1 = hunter version (big ring), 2 = Paul's version (small ring)
    • xx013632 bac_bell Rank 1 = hunter version (big ring), 2 = Paul's version (small ring)
    • xx013633 bac_branding Rank 1 = Paul's brand, 2 = Hunter brand (Cow 32) w/o head, 3 = Hunter brand (Cow 32) including head
  • MCM update option is now on first page. You don't need to check that, if you're going to change some settings. It's there to force an update w/o changing anything else. Also the Update Player Only setting is now located here (and no longer on Debug page)
  • Experimental: I tried to fine tune the update process so it should only update those items whose settings have been changed and no longer do a full update each time. Please try this out - if it doesn't work, use the update option in MCM mentioned above.

Thanks for the update! :D

And thanks for clarifying the quest progression for me. I've never even attempted to follow through with Paul instead of being captured, so I wasn't sure about how all that worked. I do still have one last question though. After you get the bell from Paul and meet the hunters for the third time, do they take you to their wagon, or straight to riften?

Alright, testing out the new update function, and it's entirely possible that this is buggy due to me updating on a current playthrough... but it seems like the new function doesn't really work. If I select "update player only", the tick box immediately unchecks, but no update occurs. If I check "update all cows", then the tick box stays checked, but still no update occurs.

It turns out, you've found the reason for this update bug which was present all the time. Those variables to remember the update were initialized OnMenuInit in MCM. That method is processed not only on actually entering the menu, but also each time the menu does a ForcePageReset() which occurs when you change an option that has an effect on other options. This is not new, but has lingered here. Thank you for finding this. New version below. Since you've installed the previous one, you probably only need to replace bac.bsa.

They'll still take you to the wagon to exchange those inferior items you got from Paul.

Haha, glad I could be helpful! :)

As a note, I have been using loose files. Is that a problem a la referenced bac.bsa? So far everything mostly seems to work fine. Just a couple things I've found:

1. The larger ring that the hunters give you clips through the new tongue. Not sure what the solution to that is. Maybe a new ring mesh with a flat bottom or something? Or maybe it could be a torc instead of a ring, and the tongue passes through the gap? Just throwing things out there.

2. It seems like I always have issues with the wagon scene, even with skyrimfet's version. It feels like the dialogue happens too quickly, and if I don't click through the dialogue fast enough as well the whole scene falls apart (skipped stuff like the tattoos for example). Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Usually I'd just let the scene do its own thing, but it's built so that you have to respond to the hunter. If there was a way to put it on rails until you manage to slip out of the milking machine, that might solve things? Not sure. Again, just reporting.

Reminder as well to other folks that if they already had slavetats running and they installed this mod on top of a running game, they need to re-run the add/remove function in slavetats so that it will detect the new textures for BAC.

Super stoked with the improvements and additions you've been making. Keep it up! :)

.bsa takes precedence over loose files, if present. For the quests, as I said before, I didn't touch them. So any bugs in there are still in there.

I was aware of the clipping issue before I started to make those tongues. There is no solution because some bloke will set his character's mouth height on +1 and the nose height to -1 and then the nose itself clips with the mouth. You cannot make a ring that would be small enough for that. I gave my cow +1.5 Aah expression setting and set the tongue height to 6 and it looks like this.

uh,,,,,soooo why am i at 103% ? Also i just saw the new update will that break my progress ? I assume thats the case, but in any case im pretty sure my playthrough was broken since from i recall from my first playthrough it goes this way

Spoiler

1- You get milk somehow then talk to paul to start the first quest

2- that lead you to the acolyte which lead you to get the book and then mandy diary

3 - that lead you to the tought of needing to be own to be protected from thief

4- this is when i remember having to speak about that to paul and then he said that there was someone who could forge a certificate of belonging and that was mark

5- mark was a thief and we get kidnap

6- paul save us and well we get owned by paul which then lead you do many quest as we transform more and more

but this playthrough i got through 1-3 then coudnt get to him talking about mark so i ended up drinking a loooooooooooooooooot of potion of mutation to get to 26 and going to riften to use their milking pump since again no one had the option to milk myself no clue why.
