I totally agree... Not much difference from AoC in some extent as it became a gank fest and outside of the main starting zones there was a lack of content. Everything that you listed about CE is right. It's a beautiful game at face value but it becomes a grind fest. I haven't really joined onto any servers cause I feel lost on them and I worry about the player base. What mods do you do?

I will add to this it's very odd that a game that's supposed to be players interacting with other players the 1 to 300 levels is pretty self defeating. The whole "don't bother showing up newb" in a game were people need to show up is just pure idiocy if you ask me. With CE go for a heavy RP server were the players will work around the absurd level difference to interact or don't bother.

Well, since I shy away from multiplayer lately, I generally tend to do mostly cosmetic/quality of life mods. Those also seem to be the most stable. For example, a few of the mods I use are sexiles, female body and armors, lovely hairstyles, shaved and oiled, bbjiggle physics, exotic dancer thralls, chareditlite, barbarism and armors, dye more, and some building kits (glass, stygian, etc)

There are a few vanilla servers (pve-conflict) with decent communities, but obviously no spicy mods, a huge grind, and the prospect of losing everything you built.

I enjoy building stuff I guess. Its fun to do it without the grind and inevitable wipe. Like this I build up my own little red light district that I can hang out in.

Yeah thats something they seem to have neglected. If you're a lvl 50 and you come across a vengeful 60, you're doomed. I suppose they did divide up the areas for that reason but still, its not enough. Leveling needs a bit more work.

The game is actually very easy to mod, comes with a nice built in menu and whatnot. It is a tad slow at loading, but otherwise very efficient. However, as I said before, your best bet is cosmetic mods. Story mods/gameplay mods tend to not only get bugged during updates, but abandoned. If you havent done so already, id recommend trying out mods in singleplayer.

Are there any active adult servers left? Didn't try every single one from the front page, but about half of them doesn't seem to exist anymore.

I usally find that most of the servers I try are deserted in my EU timezone, even when they are not in the US TZ. It looks to me like CE adult servers are critically losing popularity.

 

My experience is that CE is great but current adult modding options do not really spice it up enough.

 

For me, ERPing in CE is not much better than ERPing in a mud or mush, I would rather type in any mud client than in that CE minuscule crappy text area.

 

Moreover, I spent hours trying to get my female char leashed, enslaved and abused in CE by another player, the most appealing thing to me at that time, jumping from deserted server to deserted server, where the few people I found already had their private circles and did not want anything else. I never experienced it, not a single time.

 

I just returned to Skyrim where lots of mods compete to enslave my char and even the heavy scripting is not able to stop them from achieving it in seconds. And much more. CE is dead, long live Skyrim.

My server is still up. Located in EU and german as native language but everyone is able to speak english. But on the downside its a rather empty server^^

Bin selber deutsch von daher kein Problem.  Werde demnächst mal reinschaun denke ich.

Da ich ansonsten von dem Spiel echt wenig Ahnung habe, wie genau läuft das mit den mods? Brauche ich exakt die gleichen wie die die auf dem server laufen, spielt die Reihenfolge eine Rolle und welche mods hast du da laufen?

Na dann ^^ Das sollte alles automatisch laufen, wenn du dem server joinst. Alle mods auflisten wäre etwas viel ^^

Yeah like I said, someone else needs to mod it to revitalize it at this point. Who ever is doing sexiles is too vanilla imo. Also "abuse" is apparently not permitted in most servers so idk what the deal is with that. I wanna hop on and get violated by wolves, not hop on and read 10 pages of rules on an empty server.

 

I just really like the conan environment tbh, thats why I lurk here with shred of hope.

Sieht tatsächlich nach ner Menge aus, der download wird ne Weile dauern.^^ Hast du da kürzlich getestet? Hatte soweit nur 2 mods installiert: Skimpy armors und Sexiles, und zumindest Skimpy armors scheint nicht richtig zu funktionieren, die Rüstungen wurden einfach unsichtbar, und ich konnte keine Bögen mehr ausrüsten.

Laufen alle problemlos, konnte keine fehler finden.

nope, but exiles extreme offers something similar with some tweaking i.e. using those body morphs and attachable schlongs. schould work at least for wherewolves and similar. havent tested that tho

Oh, yes, I love it. In some servers there are consent sheets to allow players show other playes what things they consent to. I always loved that "And I consent to anthing that can happen in these savage and mysogynistic lands".

Could you recommend one to do exactly that playying a female?^^ Strident stars server seems fine, played a bit mainly to try/see some things all the mods he's running offer. But as he mentioned himself, it's quite empty.

*edit: wops, mixed you up. But did you possibly find anybody on other time zones. I currently have time so as long as all activity doesn't happen in the middle of the night, other time zones might be ok. Is there any way to search for servers with sexiles installed ingame maybe? Or do i have to run through google and try every single one?

This is a complete truth. From the game, CE could make a good and cruel MMO sandbox with slavery, cruelty, violence (the setting itself has this), but it turned out as a result a bunch of empty servers with lots of rules and zero online. As if CE developers themselves made sexiles-mod and everything turned out sadly.

I joined several discord servers, the semi official "Conan Exiles", the "Conan Exiles Roleplaying" , the one from the developers of Sexiles, and others; the I read their channels that promote servers. Then I joined many discord severs of their respective CE servers, but I did not find. The best way, AFAIK, is discord and this forum in LL.

I know that server, it was quite empty back then. I hope it gets better for you now.

I just got a cheap copy of SSE, I'm upgrading from a LE that lacked 2 of the DLC's... I'm busy and not coming back to CE or any other game soon. But I will continue following this forum anyway.

 

Not entirely show how full the server actually was, it felt very crowded just by the buildings i saw but the actual player count might be lower than it felt. There were at least 10 people online though and a couple more on discord. Chances are that was due to weekend, i'll try again tomorrow.

Nope. The makers said they weren't going to do it either. Which is stupid because its LITERALLY in the LORE of the game. There are characters in game that actually talk about it. That's why it would be nice to get sexlab running on it instead.

Well... i do see the point of it. Like this:

I Do Not Consent to the Following: - Permadeath (talk ooc first) - Scat - Watersports - Disfigurement/Mutilation

 

Watersports and Vore aren't really my thing either, and you need to keep in mind that they are role playing these things, which means every particitpant has to figure out what to do/write. They lack the animations etc for it, so for me it wouldn't be much fun to explain explicitly how i feel about beeing devoured. I still could do it, but role play disfigurement for the rest of my "life" on this server is definitly not something i'd want to do.

And that you don't want to be permadeath after you've spent months to develop your character is understandable too i think. Especially since afaik it's not technically possible either, not sure if an admin could delete your account, but at least not for yourself.
