New script for "Amazon Might" spell - now the scale of the character is not reset permanently to default if you equip boots with NiO high heels - after equipping scale will be quickly restored. Also, now scaling should work for first person too. Beware of low ceilings ? Carreau Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 Question about the scale being used. I started a new play through using the 1.0.0 release and chose a matriarch. But, she's barely taller than anyone else. Setting scale to 1 puts her closer to what I think is the correct height. The scale resets to something smaller than 1 on each load. Before using Player.SetScale 1 After using Player.SetScale 1 This was happening before upgrading to patch 1.0b and it's still happening after upgrade. Is it normal? Or did I install something incorrectly? All options chosen during install were default, and I chose the standard ESP file. Thanks in advance! And keep up the great work!

Something changes scale of your character on each game load. Scale of the Matriarch race is 1.27, and custom race skeleton have a lot of re-scaled nodes. So, you should look on your mods. Don't know what mod can cause this. 1

Thankfully, I run a fairly light load order. I have a feeling it's Player Size Adjuster. I'll try disabling and running without it tonight after work.

Carreau Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Just as a confirmation, turning off Player Size Adjust fixed the scale issue. In some cases, it may need to be disabled through MCM before being disabled in the mod manager. It's odd that it used to work fine with True Amazons.

That being said, I've hit kind of a weird issue. I am using the Special Edition version of the mod, and for some reason every time I cast the Summon Amazon spell the game crashes after the conjuration effect goes off but before the amazon appears. I have tested this to see if it's just an issue with how the Master-ish spells work (two hand cast, cannot move) but all of the vanilla game Master Conjuration spells work just fine. It's fairly minor in the whole scope of things, but I would very much appreciate it if anyone could give me help on this. As an aside, does anyone know a good SE replacement for Enhanced Camera? I mostly play in 3rd person with this mod, but I do go to 1st person for some things and it just doesn't feel right to not tower over everything.

No, files from LE will cause crashes 100%. It's definitely not armors, because if you try to "placeatme" one of the unused Amazon actors (5 of them, one for each race) - the game will still crash, despite the fact that they all are naked. But I have no idea what I'm doing wrong with FaceGen files.

Whenever I run into a bug I'm always afraid that I did something wrong somewhere and I'm just causing trouble for mod authors. Not that this is really a surprise, but I can confirm that the bug happened on a completely separate install of the game that I am more confident in than the one I have previously been using for testing. I wish there was more I could do to help with this. My experience with actual mod creation is limited to kludging together basic compatibility patches though, so I'm basically clueless.

SE AmazonsOfSkyrim.esp.7z Extract into \Data\meshes\actors\character\FaceGenData\FaceGeom\AmazonsOfSkyrim.esp\ And for Legendary Edition users this fix is also available. LE AmazonsOfSkyrim.esp.7z It looks like something was wrong with the Facegen source files. And if for LE it didn’t cause any problems, then after conversion it caused CTDs. To fix this, I generated the files for the SE (through CK), then converted them to the LE file format (through SSE Optimizer), then I used NifMerge to import the geometry from the old FaceGen files, and then converted all files back to SE. Phew. I will update mod to next version shortly.

I can confirm that everything is working as intended without any crashes, thank you so much for taking the time and going to the trouble of helping me. I can also confirm that at least one of the unused NPCs is for some reason set up to work as a follower assuming that you can get their relationship rank up somehow. Not quite sure where she'll go if I dismiss her though.
