UFO is another mod I stopped using awhile back. I wouldn't be surprised if that was causing your problems. As for the helmet problems, deactivate ElinRace - HelmFix.esp, but keep the BSA to see if the game will still recognize the helmet fixes without any issues. If no difference or the vanilla helmets stop fitting properly then decide if you still want to use it or not. You only need to delete these files:

 

ElinRace - HelmFix.esp

ElinRace - HelmFix.bsa

I made some test files for the new Elin Mannequins for Hearthfire; CBBE only. I'm curious as to whether it somehow 'fixes' the wandering mannequin bug. I was having that problem with three of the mannequins in the Armory wing of Lakeview Manor. After installing the new Elin mannequins, the mannequins in the Armory stopped moving.

 

If anyone wants to test this to see if it does fix the bug just remember this is a BETA version and only for CBBE. I'll create ones for UNP and default body and release all 3 after Christmas.

 

Also this is compatible with vanilla Skyrim mannequins.

I stopped using NMM months ago because it was unstable' date=' imo. The one problem with NMM was (or still is), even though NMM shows the plug-ins as activated, that didn't mean it was. Click on TESV.exe in the Skyrim folder and in the Title Menu, click on DATA FILES and the load order will appear. Check if 'Joshen23Y.esp' is activated. Exit from the list then exit the game (Title Menu). Now start up NMM and do the same, make sure 'Joshen23Y.esp' is active.

 

Start the game and see if the game crashes when entering the Winking Skeever. If it still does then the other options would be:

 

1) Reinstall the mod manually.

2) Do you have UFO or a similar mod? Could be a conflict there. I don't use multi-followers mods so I can't say for certain.

3) Again, possible conflict with another mod, even with one that seems unrelated.

 

 

Off-topic, I use Mod Organizer and so far have not experienced any problems that I had experienced with NMM.

Oh my goodness!! I see her!! *Squee* ^^ Thank you so much for introducing me to Mod Organizer. It is much easier than NMM and it also fixed my "Go near Whiterun as Elin and crash" problem! ^^

 

Just have a question about using Mod Organizer. I know I shouldn't really ask you, since I can look it up elsewhere (And you're busy fixing things with Elin mods) but some mods are grayed out, and not installed. How can I fix this?

Reporting some oddness with the small height, normal weapon size with DSpSoB and bow fix option with the CBBE BBP Monli body option. Using that option gets the untranslated rectangles in place of the race's name and description. I'm using small height, normal weapon size with bow fix but no DSpSoB and that's in English as normal.

 

 

Also echoing the other report on weirdness from the helm fix. Most non-enchanted vanilla helms weren't able to be interacted with, existing ones disappeared from my inventory, and a follower who was wearing a Hide Helmet before installing the fix was no longer able to remove it except by the removeallitems command because it wasn't visible even to the console when using help "hide helmet". Some helmets, such as the Imperial Light Helmet or Dawnguard helmets, were not affected.

Mod Organizer is picky about how the mods are packed in an archive. If you install a mod and it's is greyed-out on the list, it means MO installed it but it will work.

 

The solution is to extract the archive and make a new archive with only the mod's folders and files. Here are some examples:

 

If you create an archive of a folder, "My Mod", containing the Meshes/Textures/Scripts folder + plug-ins + master file, Mod Organizer may have problems recognizing it because of the parent folder, "My Mod".

 

If you select the Meshes/Textures/Scripts folders + plug-ins + master file and create an archive from those then Mod Organizer will recognize the folders and files and after installation the mod name will be accessible from the list.

I'll have to test the custom DSpSoB skeletons some more. I can understan it possibly glitching with shields, weapons, or armor, but undoing the English translation?!?!

 

If the helm fix is more problem than help, go ahead an delete it. I repack the main packages and leave out the helm fix.

Psychomachia: I had to delete the system. I had marred the cell windows. But I solved it that I deleted system. and again naintstalovál ... Ted stahuju Updates only to win xp .... I'll call you when I'm ready to have windows. I lost all the mods that I had from you ... I have to download it again ...... I do not even skyrim. I have nothing ... Ok Got all of New Elin Race for Skyrim v1.8.151.0 - 2012December08 up and runing OK. But "ElinRace NewNPC" Make's my Game crash..Turn it On Game crashis, Turn it Off Game Run's, And still useing UFO and can use the Smithing stuff with no crashis.

Aaah, I'm stuck between wanting to play an Elin for the cuteness and playing a normal human character for the TBBP bounce! If only I knew how to make the Elin skeleton and body work with TBBP...

Well somehow Rem is breaking my game. Just Rem. With her loaded I can't zone into DragonsReach. Turn her off, I can get in just fine. Other followers seem to work. I have Yi Ka following me right now. Going to try and grab a new copy for now, see if it makes a difference.

 

Nope. Reinstalled everything, still the same issue. Probably just going to ignore this for now.

Like to see Somebody take the Elin Pack Armors (Mask) And Make them into (NOMask) versions because the (Mask)version doss NOT Work with the "ElinRace-Custom UNP Body+Textures"?

I step away to fight off a cold and things get interesting. I'm feeling a little better and I'll try to release to following updates around next weekend:

 

- Repack the main packages without the helm fix.

- The block texts when using the DSpSoB skeletons are caused by the associated ESP patches; will translate them.

- Finish the Elin mannequins for Hearthfire.

 

UPDATE: I found a mod that fixes the bugs associated with Hearthfires, especially the wandering mannequins. I installed it after building the armory and it was able to fix the mannequins. You need to exit the home and reenter or fast-travel a considerable distance away then return. Upon reentering your home, the mannequins should return on top of the display stands.

- If anyone is using NMM, I suggest giving Mod Organizer a try. Since it uses virtual folders as opposed to actually installing the files over each other into the Data folder, it might alleviate some problems. Just a suggestion.

Hi, I'm not sure if you are still working on the Castanic Race, but I'm having problem with the race when I am a vampire. I'm unable to feed on NPCs, and unaffected by the Restoration Perk Necromage. I tried using Potion of Blood to feed myself without NPCs and it still didn't work. Right now I can't progress onto anything since everytime I go into town people will start attacking me.

I plan on doing a rework of the Castanic race, but the Elins are keeping me busy.

 

Try updating the Race Compatibility.

- Delete these files

  • RaceCompatibility.esm (v1.7)
  • companionshousekeepingscript.pex (and psc)
  • playervampirequestscript.pex (and psc)
  • playerwerewolfchangescript.pex (and psc)

 

Install Race Compatibility Improved v1.5

If you are still having problems then you will need to update the race in CK. If you have Dawnguard, add Dawnguard.esm as a Master file. In CK do the following:

- Check these files

  • Skyrim.esm
  • RaceCompatibility.esm

  • CastanicRace.esp (Activated)

 

When Ck finishes loading the data go ahead and save (replace) CastanicRace.esp. The plug-in will now use the data from the RaceCompatibility Improved and, if the case, Dawnguard.

 

Chances are the Race Controller script will need to be redone, but see if the above update will fix your problem.

Sorry I'm not really good with CK, but when I tried to load the files you have listed, it showed an error saying "Multiple master files selected for load. Load operation aborted.". What do I do now? :(

When needing to load multiple master files you will need to add

 

bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1

 

Under the section [General] in SkyrimEditor.ini.

 

If you have Dawnguard you will need to extract the language strings into the Data > Strings folder. Also Dawnguard.bsa and Hearthfires.bsa needs to be added to SkyrimEditor.ini under the section [ARCHIVES].

 

Here is the SkyrimEditor.ini with the all the needed entries added and the extracted Dawnguard Strings. Download, extract and follow these instructions.

 

-Go to your Skyrim folder and look for SkyrimEditor.ini.

-Make a backup copy of the INI file then replace it with the new file.

 

-Go to your Data folder and add the Dawnguard language Strings to the Data > Strings folder.

 

If you don't have Dawnguard and/or Hearthfires, I have provided a screenshot of the [ARCHIVES] section of the SkyrimEditor.ini. You only need to delete what is highlighted in yellow.

 

 

I will be redoing the Castanics, I just need to finish the Elins and try to convert the new Castanic hairs and horns. No sense in updating the race then have do it again just to add the new hairs/horns.

Any updates on the additional hair colors?

 

They will be included with the new packs I'm releasing later this week. I'm breaking down the large hair packs because they include the original hair files and can cause the game to crash. I'm also including some new Apachii and zzjay hairs.

 

I might add some two-tone hairs soon after New Years.

If you can wait a day or two, I'll be uploading all new repacks which contains some changes and fixes plus repacks, updates, and new additions of some of the other Elin mods. Right now the only thing I have left to do is add some extra colors, unless firefly77 doesn't mind waiting until maybe next week because I would like to release the extra colors with a major update.

The addtional hair colors is the only thing I have left to do, but I'm also working on adding the ability to change the pubic hair colors, allowing it to match the main hair. I was able to do it with the custom CBBE and UNP body. It will need some adjustments to the mesh files to fix it's placement then I'll need to do the same with the other custom bodies.

Has anyone had an issue of followers suddenly leaving for home even if their dialogue still shows up as a follower? Just got this to happen with my 2 followers, both were Elin, one being the Cerwiden I had with an appearance mod. I replaced the RacialCompatability esm with the one from Sky Children to get that mod to work and feel like that might be causing this issue. I'll have to try and reproduce this later with the other follower mods, and probably with the vanilla followers as well.

 

Edit: looks like its something tied with UFO, Dawnguard, Serana and the Castle. So probably not with custom races.
