Alright thanks. I really don't have enough knowledge to fix stuff like this so whatever you can figure out is cool. Personally just wanted to fix the racemenu crash so I could switch to Ahri tail when that comes out.

Well then I'll proceed with finishing what I originally planned and that would be releasing the new or modified body meshes (for the pubic hair coloring), better extended color patchers, and the Ahri-Elin option. After that, I'll get working on the Elin mannequins and some other projects I want to get started.

Thank for this mod! :D

Anyway I got some problem.

My Elin Mannequin has the same height as Nord which I don't know why. I tried to re-install but it still the same. Do you have any idea?

Hello Setsu9

Since the Elin mannequins uses the same body as your playable Elin then the problems would either be the main race files installation or the custom body installation.

I have noticed the skeleton options that come with the main pack does not match exactly with the skeleton options that comes with the custom body. I'm releasing some updates the day after New Years so I'll be replacing those basic skeletons.

You can fix the mannequin's height by reinstalling the main race pack and choosing the "NORMAL" skeleton (if you are playing an Elin) or one of the x0.8 height scale (if you are not playing an Elin).

Now reinstall the custom body and choose to install any of the x0.8 height skeletons.

In the load order make sure the 'custom body'.esp is AFTER the 'elin mannequin'.esp so that the custom body is not overwritten.

Hello Psychomania, any plans on updating the x117 elin race? That's the only elin body I really liked. Well the lack of a flat mesh for the other bodies make me sad =( (and there's a lot of cute outfits for the x117 body).

@Masterofvin

I'll get started at the same time I'm working on updating the mannequins which is as soon as I'm done with the latest update.

I had tweaked the x117 skeleton to make the body more like an Elin, but I lost it sometime ago. No matter, I'll start over and use the files from the R2 update.

Did you want an Elin with the Sky Children body or Sky Children with Elin features? I'll probably start with turning the Sky Children into Elins since I did promise someone else I would get started on the human Elins.

@RandomUser88

The last update has not been changed when the forums reverted back. Everything is still there.

It's still the same. But the Elin race work fine. (As in the picture, I change my race to Elin to compare the height.)

At first I remember that it worked fine, but I forgot to uninstall FEMALE Mannequin so some of them look terrible. Then I uninstall and it became as I say.

Anyway thank for your help :D

You can also try uninstalling the Elin mannequins and any other mods that replace the mannequin body then make a new game save.

Restart the game and load the last save then save the game again.

Now reinstall the Elin mannequins, restart the game and load the last save and see if that fixed the problem.

Ah great, this works for me now, finally. Even if I get some script error messages at first, it seems. VampireQuestScript.pex and some other. But I realized why my game was crashing, I was selecting the dual sheath display thing.

Now to get some lovely Elin armors and enjoy the contrast of being a small anime looking girl in a serious world.

Okay, I'm going ahead and upload an updated Main Race Pack for Skyrim v1.8 only!

This new pack includes the basic skeletons from the Tera body pack and the new Ahri (9-tail fox) ears and tails. The Ahri set can be chosen from the FACIAL HAIRS slider along with the Elin ears and tails.

I'll do the same for the Tera body pack and upload that within the next 3 days along with new color patchers and color matching pubic hairs.

UPDATE: If the tails are difficult to see in the screenshots this should be better.

Any idea why I'm getting this message?

I hope those aren't critical...

You have both Race Compatibility Improved v1.5 and the scripts from RacialCompatibility v1.7.

You have to choose one or the other. If you decide to keep using Race Compatibility Improved then you will need to delete these Pex (and PSC) files in the SCRIPTS folder:

- companionshousekeepingscript.pex

- PlayerVampireQuestScript.pex

- PlayerWerewolfChangeScript.pex

You sir are awesome. I just wanted an elin with the children of the sky body since I like the outfits for that body plus I enjoy the flat chested mesh available for said body~ Thanks a lot for your work.

Anotehr quick question. If I want my Elin character voiced (I didn't install any followers, just the mannequins for Hearthfire), which voice pack should I use?

The voice pack contains sample WAV files of the FUS-RO-DAH shout of each voice. One sounds similar to the Elins though the shouts may seem a bit anime-ish, another is softer and more child-like, and the third (Elin Voice and NPC) also contains voice files for npcs, but they sound like they were all done by the same person.

That's the one I installed, thanks. This mod works very good, though now the 1st person view with all my non-Elin characters is slower than usual. As if they were shorter in height.

Using "NER-Custom UNP Body-2012Dec26" Sofor Working Great! But got one problem, Using the "01 skeleton weapons08 DSpSoB bow fix" and the "Option - 1stPerson x0.8" but whin i use a Crossbow and or the "Dwarven Rifle Variation-G Mod" the site doss not line up, If i look up the Crossbow gos way over the crosshairs or look down then it's under the crosshairs other then that all the rest works Great. Ho and She's level 35 right now to!!

After testing the installation procedure I noticed this. If I don't have RacialCompatibility 1.7.esm installed, the Elin Race doesn't install.

If I have it, I overwrite the files as instructed, then I get the .pex error messages, and the 1st person view is lower than usual.

Racial Compatibility v1.7

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/10165

Race Compatibility Improved v1.5

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/24898'>http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/24898

The Elin race uses Race Compatibility Improved v1.5 which, as the name implies, is an improvement over the Racial Compatibility v1.7 mod. The PEX errors means the scripts from Racial Compatibility is conflicting with Race Compatibility Improved which does not use those scripts.

Solution.

1) If you want to continue using Racial Compatibility v1.7...

If you still need to use Racial Compatibility (such as UFO using and overwriting companionshousekeepingscript.pex) then you will need to remove these Race Compatibility Improved files:

- RaceCompatibility.esm

- RaceCompatibility.bsa

2) If you want to use Race Compatibility Improved...

If you want to use Race Compatibility Improved then you will need to first follow the instructions to see if it is safe to delete the PEX files.

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/24898

If it is safe to delete the PEX files then proceed to delete these files:

- RaceCompatibility.esm (same name as the one from Race Compatibility Improved so reinstall RCI just in case)

- companionshousekeepingscript.pex

- PlayerVampireQuestScript.pex

- PlayerWerewolfChangeScript.pex

<<<<<<<<<<---+--->>>>>>>>>>

The 1st-person camera height is caused by the 1st-person skeleton from the Main Pack.

- Reinstall the Main Pack, but only choose the "NORMAL" skeleton (this does not install the basic 1st-person skeleton).

- Reinstall any of the custom bodies and choose any of the skeletons you want from that pack.

This should fix the 1st-person camera height.

Posted

Ah, I get it. So even if I want my Elin to be lower in height (0.8), if I select the normal skeleton and go into 1st person view, I will still see the normal height right?

Sorry for asking so many questions. I'm a very careful person after having, some months ago, my whole Oblivion installation ruined because I installed a race mod.
