A word of warning to everyone that will likely be ignored.

 

The next Sims 4 update will likely break Wicked Whims. The Discover University update includes a new life state in robots (including some you can woohoo with), as well as a new NPC function in roommates. It also includes claimable beds, computers, and other personal objects, as well as new lot designs for university dorms.

 

Because of those significant elements, it's incredibly likely that not only will Wicked Whims not work with the update, but that Turbodriver will need some time to get Wicked Whims working properly.

 

If you absolutely can't wait to update Sims 4 to play Discover University, you may not be able to use Wicked Whims (or a number of other mods). 

 

The new Sims 4 update comes out this week (Discover University is available November 15 in the US).

LIke i said before, but not really, fortunately modders like TURBODRIVER and other modders, on this site particularly, are faster than other sites, will releases updates immediately after EA update release, specially for script mods that usually needs to be updated. So probably who update instanctly the game, just need to wait a day or two...

Public version too! If i have to worry it's about mccc of Deaderpool T-Rex... instead of ww... must be difficult moves with arms sooo shorts...

And then, with WW usually u can upgrade\downgrade (mod or game) with minor problems or without (usually are only specifics sex options related to the mod, like can't have sex ever if options are presents, or mod not appear on interactions menu, or missing functions of mod on new update objects, things like that..), mccc can cause save corruption or other, in any cases makes the game unplayable at all, i am not refer to LE reports that are usefull for modders but sometimes can be ignored too, caused by a little  remote thing encountered only in a particular interaction with an outdated object for example..

It's the structure mod itself i think, ww uses almost all new lines with less impact (just looking at a version of ww that can be compatible with multiple versions of the game, since there are not big news) than mccc that overrides many aspects already present on gameplay.

My only real problem with ww is the constant loose of customizations of all body parts applied to all sims that will be reset by ww or ww related mods at every actual asset change, updates or other... anytime i update ww and other mods related, i start crying cause i know... that i must redo all... sigh... or just like happened in an issue reported some posts ago.. really annoying.. but unfortunately is normal if u want try many mods by different authors, even if are supposed to work together, or simply compatible...

I agree! We need to work a lot with reputation, as in some cases this does not work at all! Peeping characters. Disable them or adjust the frequency of their visits. That's just the duration of their stay on your site can not be configured.

At least the new 'roommates' function will probably make TurboDriver's ideas for how to make kidnapees work easier. Already a function for having an autonomous Sim living on the same lot, now it's just the commanding and locked doors that need to be worked in.

Kidnapees? TURBODRIVER? Did you mean KinkyWhims? ColonolNutty? Unless TurboDriver added abduction to WickedWhims when I wasn't looking...

WW only comes with like 4 animations, you have to get more from the animators listed below.

And if you had animations, but now you don't have sex options when you click on something- that's usually caused by a broken CC object.  I've got some chairs that were made to be used for some animations made just for them, but they're broken and they make that happen.

Go to the very top of this page. Right hand side. Paste teen-adult in the blue search bar.  From the drop down select "this thread".  Click Search. 

This will also probably help you with some issues that will be happening this week.

Ok. Have two questions.

 

First, my Sims can't get naked, anymore, while a kid is at the lot? Is there any way I can change that? It's been a while since I last played the game, and I can't seem to get my Sims to get naked (in their own bedroom. Where their kid is not at), anymore. 

 

Second question. I try to disable the condoms auto use, but nothing seems to happen? My sim keeps getting the "birth control (used a condom)" message, whenever she has sex with her wife; even though I "disabled" it. And when I click on the condom again, to try to disable this, the "disallow condoms auto use" is still there, and not "allow condoms auto use." I know I can disable the birth control auto use; but that'd mean my female sim would stop taking her birth control pills automatically...

Not ignored here, I fully expected this (and any patch) to break mods. I'm disappointed EA couldn't release the patch a week in advance like they did for (I think) Realm of Magic so that modders had some time to get everything worked out though. I was looking forward to playing this on the weekend and it looks like I won't be now since I cannot play without mods. They probably know this happens so it's disappointing that they can't work with the modder community in mind a little more.

Sounds like the patch update is coming tomorrow (Nov. 12) in advance of Friday's release of the pack. But I'm skeptical that everything will be fixed with just a couple days of work ahead of time.

U can play another game in the meantime...

I never counted on Maxis support... like i never counted on maxis interests on their players... On 5 years... 2 free dlc's?... And then they releases every time same dlc's for 2,3 and 4... like a bot... Another games usually integrates on next games sagas what was on dlc's on prevoius titles... so?... Or just try to do things better! I think is the only pc game remained that run yet with dx9 (already olds on 2014!!)..

Must be fantastic be the only one in life simulation games... ^^ and think that is was born like an architecture program...

Seems i talk only of money but sincerelly i've found 40€ (on Europe) for the dlc a fucking joke... come on... i buy an entire game... If counts all dlc's all things that should pay to have the sims 4 complete.... probably arrives at 1000€... lol!

Maxis must be kidnapped to receive horse dildo, yup... for that money! Fortunately other people worried about buy the game for me too... aha

Maxis (and then i finished i swear..) must be grateful to a very large community of modders for their success..

I have no idea why it's not working but, as a workaround, put a chest down somewhere in your home and place the condoms inside so they aren't in the inventory when sex is initiated.

Well the latest update broke it I cant open game without a crash. Unfortunately the update on origins was required to play so I was fucked from the beginning. Funny part is i bought a bunch of expansion packs last night City life,Get together,Go to work,Get famous,and more$$$ woke this morning to play and this shit what great timing lol. Well I guess ill hope for a patch soon cuz now i have $100+ worth of game I cant play. It also looks like the latest update turned my game from the digital deluxe edition to the Legacy IDK if that has anything to do with it. Thanks for the hard work heres to hoping you got something for us soon.

Thats why you switch to offline mode in Origin when the update button for sims 4 is there.

It is a lesson everybody who plays modded sims 4 has to learn at sometime.

The good news is that the devs are usually pretty fast to update their shit.

Is it possible the patch broke something regarding the acceptance? My spouse sims don't accept each other for sex. All moods up, no children around, always accept allowed and they just reject each other

The patch probably broke a lot of things. It's why people have cautioned for days against updating until Wicked Whims and other mods are updated to reflect the new patch.

How do you not update? How do you get around the warning that if you don't update within 24 hours that you cannot play ever again?

Apparently by playing offline wish I had known that myself as I really did not wanna update to patch as they almost always break some mods.

I wish I had known about playing in offline mode. I was forced to update and now my fav mod is broken. My sims keep refusing to have sex. Guess I'll have to keep my fingers crossed and hope a patch comes soon. The thing with mods is that you never know when one gets abandoned because the modder had enough of constantly having to update.

Yeah, I can't even load up the world after creating character. CTD. And they changed a ton of stuff in this update so lots of mods could be affected for sure. And what about the warning that if you don't update within 24 hours that you will never be able to update again? So any fixes to your game of quirky stuff will have to be done by modders because any future updates from EA that actually fixes stupid stuff will no longer be available. So I guess I just can't play the game I have spent tons of money on just to meet everybody else's stipulations until mods can be updated.

 

No pressure intended on the modders. It isn't their fault of course. A shame that updates are not so mod friendly.
