JerseyWalrus Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 The recurring theme throughout the thread (and throughout the site, really) is that people don't read. Every other page has someone asking if SexTec is out yet, or what's the progress, or whatever half-assed question that could have been found by checking the previous page. People ignore the stickies, and just go quickly to ask if it's out. Let the modders do their work! Want it out faster? Want a specific feature? Get your ass to work and learn how to mod Fallout 4 and/or animate. Oh, is this not the Rant Thread? /s
Guest kimbale Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 Well, what is still needed for SexTec as of right now? I guess at least a better API through F4SE. Getting new idles into the game is possible (though i'm still banging my head against why my furniture stuff's not working). The Quest scene thing can be used for staging scenes, including triggering animations. But scripting a good framework takes it's time, especially if it's supposed to be easy to use for both users and modders.
Z0mBieP00Nani Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 Really 1 more year? Damn... Yeah, we'll probably have a revamped Oblivion or (hopefully) Morrowind before SexTec comes out. At least I think that's one of the things Bethesda is up to.
BlueSquare Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 ETA? I'm just kidding, just wanted to say thank you for your work on this Project. Good things need it's time so I'm glad you take your time. Nobody needs a gamebreaking Framework.
garg Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Fairly certain that if were looking at a year from now at the least then Sextek will definitely not be the first, but I guess Sexlab wasn't either!
DexesTTP Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Fairly certain that if were looking at a year from now at the least then Sextek will definitely not be the first, but I guess Sexlab wasn't either! Well, as I said AP (Animated Prostitution) is already out, so first place is out there already. But try it, and judge for yourself if SexTec not being the first matters that much This isn't a speed race, but maybe a content and framework API race that there is to win.
Goubo Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 For the impatient you should really just check for F4SE updates instead of asking for ETA here, we really can't do shit (elaborate) in scripting without a proper API that F4SE will provide in the (hope near) future, for now by script we can't even register a key for the player to press...

Yeah, I imagine that the developer notes for the API are going to be an interesting read and be a subect of much discussion.
Hamguy31 Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 So how long did it exactly take Skyrim to get adult modding going outside the usual nudie mod? The earliest thread in the SexLab section is http://www.loverslab.com/topic/17321-new-home/ , from may 2013. I'm guessing SL was released about a year and a half (more or less) after Skyrim , which means that SexTec would be released on may 2017 with the same inbetween time. However, the Skyrim Creation Kit came out like 2 weeks after Skyrim's release (so November '11) while we had to wait till June '16 (so about 7 months after FO4's release) before having the FO4 Creation Kit. Because dev about SexTec itself couldn't have started before, we're looking more at December 2017 assuming - once again - we have the same dev time. In addition, a lot of stuff that did go well with SexLab didn't go so well with SexTec, so the release dates might not even be comparable. You may be looking at an alpha next week or next decade. Now, keep in mind that technically there is A.P. out there on the Nexus, so adult modding is already kind of out for FO4, just not in an useful/playable state. You're forgetting that skyrim's Creation kit didn't get released until 3 months after its game release meaning it was only a few months. sextec is taking much longer, fo4 is generally becoming more and more dated and boring. people are leaving fo4 since its modding scene is almost nonexistent and its game is genuinly unfun. Skyrim was released in 11/11/2011 creation kit was released in 1/27/2012 december 2017? are you kidding? by then no one would have cared about fallout 4 anymore.

Bethesda games are generally not much after the first few hours, mods are making their games big. Skyrim was just easier to mod, that's it.
Claysson2 Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 The last couple of posts are really about Sextec? The reason for this thread was voice ways to help sex happen in FO4 ? Ragging on Beth for not giving the tools won't help..
prinyo Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Seems to me the point of this thread is to try to contain people's impatience and to prevent it from flooding the forums. So if someone feels the need to express their frustrations that "we are not there yet" or their hopes of what ST can/should/would be this thread is the place to do it :-) For people that want and can help there are other specific threads. Also I don't think it makes sense to count the time after the CK is released. The more important tool for ST is the script extender. When FO4SE with extended functionality is released you can start counting days (if you so wish). The release of the CK by itself is not a factor in this. Also I don't think "Skyrim was easier to mod". The similarities in the Bethesda games from a technical point of view mean that any new game is "easier to mod" because people have already accumulated knowledge and expertise in how to do that.

My biggest concern....... Is anybody still working on this? Or has it been silently abandoned?
Guest Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 My biggest concern....... Is anybody still working on this? Or has it been silently abandoned? Naaaah! I am keeping this thread open just to make fun of people asking for it. I am a weird sadist! But a modder too. And I am still working. Slow peace, but working.

RapidWaterOver Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 ... A lot of the people who play Bethesda Fallout/Elder Scrolls games play them for the roleplaying, which Fallout 4 did not particularly deliver on. Not to mention Fallout 4 doesn't have a lot of replayability, and even at this point most people are done playing it, let alone a year or two from now.
Claysson2 Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Oh Father CPU, Lords of Sextec.... We stand before you Humbled, Horny and WET Man does not live on bread alone, we need SEX. AMEN.

If Bethesda quits breaking upgrading FO4 so tools like Script Extender can finally be finished, the SexTec pace should pick up somewhat. Even then remember it's not a mod but a framework. All it will do is provide the tools necessary for other modders to add sex. I personally still don't expect to see anything like what's available for Skyrim on FO4 for another year or two at the very least. But I approve of that post nonetheless. Blessed be Father CPU!

While I do wish the story had been more open ended I have had fun playing FO4. I have made a few characters for each faction choice and played them through for those main quest lines. I do hope some alt start mods show up with substance but even if they don't FO4 world seems perfect for some slavery and combat sex mods. I am looking very forward!!

Claysson2 Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 Has anyone seen this: boox2 - fa4 sex 2 - Plays.tv Remember JoshNZ? From Skyrim AP . F4 animated prostitution - Alfa at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community How'd he do that? Granted, he's no animator, he's a scriptor, but without F4SE ? More of a concept mod, I guess.. KInda: Well, that didn't turn quite as expected, but.........
