Pretty familiar with nifskope. is there by any chance an option to flag the bottoms as greaves and make an invisible pair of boots to match the set? you know so that the my request could be full filled ?

Yes I know but if no one splits the armor for you, and you must use the full body version, you should use the reworked version. There are some bug fixes in that version. And the upper body need arms. I still have not found perfect ( no clipping ) ones. this is almost perfect. Without arms you can not use the armor without gloves, or you have a gap between hands and armor. Also the Greaves need a body part, if you wear it without upper body armor or clothes. also have not found a perfect one. This one is shit. ------------------ Why invisible boots ? You can set the greaves to Lower body and foot slot. Then you have 3 armor parts. Why do you want 4 parts ?

Being a little finicky, I'd say you wrote the definition for the term "iterative". For "recursive", I would use this different example: "A man dreams of a man that dreams of a man that dreams of a man that dreams of..." et cetera. They are similar concepts, in fact, and nearly every program can be coded in one of both ways. Some problems (or algorithms, to use a big word) are coded more naturally in iterative form, some in a recursive form. More naturally doesn't imply more efficiently, of corse. Recursion happens whenever a program or subprogram (a Script or a Block, in our context) calls himself repeatedly until a certain condition is met. After that, the "stack" of calls is treaded backwards, and the program flow returns to the first call that originated the recursion. EDIT Well, at least the usual programming languages work this way. For the scripting language used in Oblivion, I think that recursion is best avoided (for the reasons already mentioned). I'm not even sure if it can be implemented intentionally, or it's just a potential (and unwanted) side-effect of how the game evaluates script blocks.

I downloaded the mod and I can split the mesh in Blender. For body parts I'm not sure why they would be needed. From the screenshots I saw on the download page, the armor appears to be covering the entire body. Am I missing something, perhaps?

( Roberts Musc body ) like this female body ( best with even shorter legs ) I tried it with the Robers Scrawny Body and boy body, only little clipping. body part with chainmail texture Problem: the scrawny and boy body is not "compatible" with the default Roberts Musc body. upper Muscular, lower Scrawny Maybe a belt to cover the gap.

The armor is separated differently than body meshes (part of the cuirass is covering the lowerbody); I'm thinking about leaving the cuirass as it is, and editing the greaves to incorporate the part of the cuirass that fills the gap. There will be overlapping in some areas, and I'm not sure of the result. Or, simply moving part of the cuirass to the greaves, First time I ever faced this problem. EDIT Based on fejeena's next comment, this is more complex than I thought. Extending the armor to cover the forearms, or merging the body parts (which body? male and female version are both required?) are both possible approaches.

Male Guess just for enchanting and heavy armor weight reduce perks is the sole reason for the 4 part set and i'll take what ever armor you can make

I could use some advice from both, but now I'm confident that this shouldn't be too difficult. What about licencing? The original author is unreachable so I assume that a simple modification is harmless (it has been done already). I'm willing to work on it, but I'd ask a favor in return, that the final mod won't be shared to the public (must be intended for personal use only).

fejeena Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 I only use UL But if you have both Mods installed you should have the textures for all meshes. Missing meshes are purple in game. Check if you have the textures. In game open the console and click on the mesh with the missing texture, note the ID number. Check in the Oblivion Modmanager which mod it is ( the first two numbers are the load order number ).Now you now if it is from Lush and Gaudy or UL. Open the Mod with TES4Edit Enter the ID number replace the first two numbers with the TES4Edit load order Mod number. (In the picture the UL Mod has 01 load order number) Hit Enter. Now you can see in the right window "NAME-Base" , copy the ID number and enter it in the FormID search window ( same as above) Now you can see the base object/mesh. The mesh path ( maybe xultep\rocks\xultepsnowrock2.nif. So the mesh is in data\meshes\xultep\rocks\xultepsnowrock2.nif ) Check your game folder, open the mesh with NifScope and see the textures path. Check your game folder and/or Unpack the Mod and check the textures folders. Install he missing texture. ------------------------------------------------------ If it is a tree with missing texture it's more complicated. In TES4Edit you can only see the "mesh " path and the Leaves Texture. Tree spt files can't be opened with NifSkope, you must open it with a Editor, read the text, there you should find all Textures (billboards, branches, leaves ) --------------------------------- You can also use refscope http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/21862/ instead of open the console and click on the object , you cast a spell. You get the ID number and the esp name ( so you must not check the first two numbers of the ID in the Oblivion Modmanager) But everything else is as above.
