dewguru Posted June 7, 2016 Author Posted June 7, 2016 Mey's portrait seems to have fallen through the cracks last time the portraits got updated or it calls up the wrong portrait. Mey isn't in Reborn. It looks like you're trying to use the old patch with Reborn. Not using a patch, she's in DWFuta, but her portrait isn't lining up anymore. I'm pretty sure she worked in version of 1.30 for the portrait pack but no longer exists as portrait 21 in 1.31 which is what she's currently assigned to. Edit: Well glad it's all uncovered now. She tends to be the first or second one that ends up triggered for me. Somehow I end up with the dwarf option being the most frequent. :\ I have the same problem Part of that is that you don't have the current mods. Unless I missed it somewhere, the Creatures of the Night and the current Core mod no longer use portrait 6 for werewolves. Granted, I may have missed one somewhere, but that change was done a few weeks ago.
xanbalest Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 So, had something amusing happen earlier. I started a new game, activated the werewolf option. 1 year and 7 days later, Fenris became the pope. Nothing wrong with that, til I tried to check the college of cardinals. Upon clicking on that, I crashed to desktop. I have DW Reborn (not 1.36 core, 1.35), all the parts as of 1.36 update except that, the mod "Your Personal Castle", and "Eugenics" mod. The last one allows siblings to be married, and YPC gives new buildings to the primary holding (or the family palace in case of Merchant Republics). I doubt either of them had an effect on the college, so I can only assume it's a problem that the base game has with Fenris becoming the pope. The mod itself works great afaik, this is only one of three problems I noticed in the last two days. Though I did notice the Mey issue, I wasn't overly concerned, cause I had Belle to look at. And Harley. Still, I don't think this is a game breaker, I didn't let it get past that point. Since I had a save for quite literally the day Fenris took over, I just command console killed him, then force spawned a new one. Problem averted, for me at least. Still, I thought it should be mentioned. The other problem, not game breaking by any means, but every instance of the hunt event lust resolution, it names the hunter, not the bitch that's been hunted. Similar to an error that happened with the "Spend time with" decision, where instead of saying the name of the other person, it said the characters name. Again, not game breaking, I honestly didn't notice til I was running around yesterday and my futa werewolf's hunt hit one of my daughters, named Katherine, but the name in the text was Arianna. It's also been saying "Doge" Michael for my male Merchant Republic ruler, but hitting Belle. On a seperate note, Great mod Dewguru, I've been using it since core 1.27, maybe 1.26. First mod I used too, I pulled the others in later. But this one is amazing, and i'm glad to have found it. I have no modding experience, so I shant try to suggest whatever. I barely understand the code enough to toss the event codes in the console and see what happens. Even trying to puzzle out a solution is beyond me. I salute your ingenuity and skills with coding, and patiently await further developments at whatever pace you wish to release them. I apologize for veering verbose with this post, it's a minor flaw of mine to try and be clear with what i'm talking about. So i'll stop talking. See y'all later!
Abraxis00 Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Hello, is there a way to get the Lilithian faith from before into the mods? I liked it much, since it was very good for female rulers. Maybe add some code from old mods into new one? Dewguru's mentioned he's planning on working the faith into the new mods, but it'll take some time, since it's not his first priority. It's still possible to use the old, pre-Reborn mod with the most recent version of the game, if you patch it -- see my quoted post below. I still use the old version more than I do the new one -- I really like the revised Blood Moon and the Fairy Tales events, but Lilithianism gave me long-term goals to strive for (painting the whole religion map mode red!). I'm looking forward to Dewguru re-introducing it, but this helps tide me over. It's still possible to play the old, pre-Reborn version of Dark World with the most current version of CK2. It just takes some patching. First, download the last pre-Reborn version of Dark World, 1.25, from here. Next, download NeoSniper's unofficial update patch here. Replace the appropriate files in the 1.25 folder with their updated versions from the patch, either copying them manually, or just unzipping the patch into the 1.25 folder. If all goes well, you should have a functional copy of the 1.25 mod ready for use. It won't have the improved things Dewguru's been working on, like the Fairy Tales submod or the new Blood Moon events, but it will have everything the old version had. I've been using it lately to play a Lilithian game where I'm gradually converting all of Western Europe to the new religion.
dewguru Posted June 7, 2016 Author Posted June 7, 2016 In the process of being posted. v1.31 (DW Futa Mod) - Updated Mey's broken custom portrait trait (you'll also need the latest DW ReMeDy mod) - Fixed an issue where the caravan flags weren't triggering properly, potentially spamming certain visits - Added a custom 'Spend time with Mey' targeted decision (Mey needs to be a lover or spouse to use it) v1.32 (Dark World ReMeDy Custom Portraits) - Added Mey back to the custom portrait pack (portrait3)
Angus99 Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 So I have tried playing the Fairytale part - and... i dont see any events. Tried reading if there are any requirements like time period or similar... Can someone tell me what i need to do to see the events in beauty and the beast storyline.

Hunting has a chance of spotting beast, leading to later events. Otherwise, you have to visit belle at the cobbler. There might be another route, but I haven't been looking for it yet. The romance book option when you meet belle at the cobbler leads to more of the storyline. Not sure if the others have been programmed in yet. Good luck!

You can give Belle the book on Love, invite her out for a drink, and possibly invite her to go hunting without immediately killing the Belle part. Giving her the Kama Sutra hits a dead end as that's the corruption path which hasn't been added in yet. You may run into parts where Gaston asks for your help in 'hunting' Belle, that part hasn't been finished yet either, however, I believe you can still hit the Belle Romance track.

To meet Belle - do i need to be a specific rank To meet Belle - do i need to be a man or female? What if any requirments is there? When i launch the game i never encounter Belle, and I wonder what im doing wrong?

When i launch the game i never encounter Belle, and I wonder what im doing wrong? The requirements are have the mod active. Time period is not required, nor rank, religion, or even gender. From what little I understand of the code (thank you dewguru for comments that make it understandable), the event has a random chance to occur once every 6 months. It won't happen immediately, unless you force it to do so. I don't know when the first check is done, I think it's 6 months after start, but it may be a few days after start. But you have a chance twice a year to meet belle. Just be patient. Or force the event to occur. There's nothing else you need to worry about, as one can have a muslim belle or a pagan belle, or an orthodox belle, even hindu belle is an option. She can spawn in the 769 start or the 1337 start. You could be a count, or an emperor, And i've had her for female, male, and futa characters as a lover/spouse. I hope this helps.

You're probably not waiting long enough because it's not an instant thing.

It can happen within the first few months, or potentially not happen at all during a play session. The chance that it is triggered is checked every other year. That is all. It doesn't care about time period. It doesn't care about religion. It doesn't care about rank. It doesn't care about your gender.

xanbalest Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 ... oh, bi-yearly.... I read that as semi-yearly in my head. okay, my bad.
TriggerBlade Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 any_realm_title = { OR = { owner = { de_facto_liege = ROOT } owner = { ROOT } } has_building = {} } This is my suggestion for the alchemist scope. I haven't tested it yet 'cause I'm lazy; I'll try to do it soon. And here's the updated shrine decision, with a choice to dedicate it to the character's dead father. IMO another choice should be added, otherwise the first event choice is rather useless if one's father isn't dead. japanese culture.zip Since you've chosen to take up the programming of this, allow me to inject my knowledge of Japanese culture to help out. Option 1: Deceased Parent. Prestige. As I explained earlier, mostly anyone can become a spirit. A dog was raised to such a position because he continued to wait for his master at a train station years after the guy died from a heart attack. He's now venerated as a spirit of loyalty. The option of using your mother should also be added if possible. The Japanese never treated women as poorly as western cultures did. They were allowed to own property, their own businesses and really nobility were the only people to have arranged marriages, but that can be said for most nobility. Women who lived past the average life expectancy were often regarded for their wisdom. The prestige bonus would obviously be gained by showing your respect to this individual that would have gained respect from your citizens and fellow nobles. Option 2: Your own sword. Army Morale. See in Japanese folklore if an object survives to 100 years of age it is said to gain a soul and even sentience. Stories vary at whether they are animated or not. A good addition would be a small percentage chance(maybe like 3-5%?) of adding a trait because of the sword becoming sentient. Maybe lunatic and add a random virtue or sin depending on if its an evil sword or not. (Disclaimer: There doesn't have to be a sword that exist for 100 in game years. Just say it's an heirloom) Option 3: Kami. Attribute boost. Amaterasu: Diplomacy - Chief Deity Hachiman: Martial - God of War. Yenma: Stewardship - Religious art depicts him in traditional administrative attire and he keeps track of mortal souls. (Yes he and King Yenma from Dragon Ball Z are the same person) Susanowo: Intrigue - He's considered to be a trickster god. Omoikane: Learning - God of Wisdom and Intelligence. Now I've simplified stuff a great deal, but this is all you really need to know for right now. If you plan on expanding this, I'll gladly be a consultant. Edit: I'd also suggest making the culture group "East Asian". Maybe the fairytale sub-mod will have Mulan at some point and Chinese could be used.

dewguru Posted June 7, 2016 Author Posted June 7, 2016 Oh dear. @Dew, do you plan on using the Japanese culture? If not, I apologize for going off topic! I told Viva-la-Muerte that I'd look at it in the future for potentially incorporating it. I'm getting closer to when I'll look at it, but it's still not here yet. I'm fine with you feeding him suggestions though in the mean time.
TriggerBlade Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 I tested the Japanese culture thing out and there are multiple issues.1. You don't need to be Japanese to raise a shrine.2. None of the events actually have text written.3. If you have a focus on another character, it will show them firing the event and having you make the decision as well as giving both of you the modifier. As a side note, using a different modifier symbol would be preferable. A cross doesn't really fit the theme.
TriggerBlade Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Huh. Okay so none of the portrait traits are appearing. I have all sub-mods downloaded and it seems like none of the traits are being added. I even tried manually by typing "add_trait portrait1" does nothing and comes up with "Could not find trait portrait1".

dewguru Posted June 8, 2016 Author Posted June 8, 2016 Pair of small updates have been posted: Change Log: v1.33 (DW Creatures of Night) - When Fenris recruited a werewolf, it was using an old portrait assignment. It now simply calls the DWCore event that assigns one randomly by sex instead of handling it itself. - (Re)Introducing Vladimir v1.33 (Dark World ReMeDy Custom Portraits) - Added Vladimir to the custom portrait pack (portrait4)
dewguru Posted June 8, 2016 Author Posted June 8, 2016 A final update for the week. v1.34 (DW Court and Commerce Mod) - Purchase potions with the appropriate alchemical building made in your realm. - A variety of the old potions return, as well as a couple new ones - potion purchase options will only display if you've the money and other requirements (for example, those who won't see Breast Enlargement are men or women who already have maxed out their chest size) - Breast Enlargement 'should' work with the Christianity mod, as I've tried to account for their different options in breast size. - Some minor building tweaks. - Added an alchemist den (castle) and herbalist wagon (nomad)

The lemon would logically represent scurvy. Also the upgraded viking traits seem to imply a focus on more sailing. So hopefully piracy will get implemented. Potentially adding actual sea combat in the DLC after.
