To make sure a hairstyle is used, you have to: - Configure it in the file "hairstylemodname.esp.json " - make sure that hairstylemodname.esp has been added to the hairstyle list in ypsHairDatabase.json More details in the section "How to configure alternate default styles, custom hair and other 3rd party hairstyle mods" of the mod description.
SQUARECHAIR Posted May 14, 2024 Posted May 14, 2024 I know this isn't the official place to post for this question but I figured I would try... When using FNIS Sexy move the heels only make sounds with options default thru 4 I have already deleted the "sound = whtever " line in the "unofficial Skyrim patch" but alas I am still stuck. I was trying to manually set a different walk for each high heel stage completed but then noticed this discrepancy. if anyone has any advice it will be well received if not then simply ignore this XD ty for reading

Yes, I got the both texture pack installed and also build the [YPS] Nails BHUNP in bodyslide(I saw that your new hand/nails have no outfit/body conflict). I will attached the screenshot in both of bodyslide and in-game you might catch somethings In bodyslide Spoiler In Game Spoiler

I havent changed texture pathes, in fact i just replaced hand mesh without touching nails at all. Textures are applied all to the same mesh using texture sets, wich are defined in .esp file. Honestly not sure what went wrong there and how. Ill try to fix at when i get some time. 1
SquatsAreLife Posted May 17, 2024 Posted May 17, 2024 Not sure if this has come up before. In my case some stripping functions seem to conflict with the nylons requirement to not wear shoes while taking them of. Simple Slavery Plus for example cannot completely undress the player, due to it trying to undress the nylons first. This results in the payer only partially being undressed and messing up the intention and potentially function of stripping routines. Anybody else having this issue?

The following things could optionally make the change permanent: having (vaginal) sex, having an orgasm, wearing makeup, getting pregnant, not finding the remedy within a set time limit, ... Male player sleeps with a girl, and wakes up as a woman (or vice versa). Sleeping with another man/woman then reverses it or makes it permanent. Male player being defeated/enslaved becomes a girl (or vice versa). Have sex with an npc will result in gender swap for both. A ghost/spirit will grant you a wish. You choose some unwise words and end up as the opposite gender. Gender swap curse: Will swap gender every day / every time you have sex / every time you defeat a dragon ... Just need to find time to do it. (Or any other modder could work on it --- it's not really complex.) Thank you for the feedback, which is well received. I noted earlier that there was some discussion about the gender change potions and it occurred to me that there might be a problem with having more than one gender change. Your "list of fun things a mod could do" also includes the same issue. That is, to start any playthrough, you need to create a character. In the Dibella Quest, that character needs to be male. Eventually "he" becomes "she". OK, no issue, create a male character to start then create a female character to continue. But what happens when that female character needs to revert to the original male character? The original male "preset" (for lack of a better term) is not automatically saved. To have to recreate the original character is both time consuming (minimal issue) and immersion breaking (big issue, at least to me). Fortunately, there is a relatively simple solution. I did some research and found that when you create your character at the beginning of any playthrough you can save it as a preset. Since your mod has the potential now to include multiple gender changes, and if you include any of the "fun things" in YPS, the likelihood that there will be multiple gender changes in the future; you might want to add a brief description of the process and a recommendation that anyone planning to do the Dibella Quest should be sure to create that preset. There are some YouTube videos available that walk you through the process.
SquatsAreLife Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 I just had a thought, while playing around with the Hair makeover features. How about a feature or quest to be able to learn how do you your own hair? The scripts and items as debug items are already there. Maybe it could have an unlikely but probable outcome you messing it up. Maybe even based on your skill/training in doing hair. Just a thought.

emily1673 Posted May 19, 2024 Author Posted May 19, 2024 Today's update is all about integrating the fashion features better into the vanilla Skyrim game. Fashion girls should be encouraged to make themselves pretty while going out for an adventure. ------------- v. 6.7.2: For fashion girls it can be a great challenge to go out adventuring. To remedy this situation, the ladies from the YPS department have developed some new products for outgoing beautiful ladies: - makeup foundation powder: Can be applied on the face before using lipstick and eyeshadow. Prerequisite for the "perfect makeup" buff (see below). - makeup fixation powder: Can be used as finishing touch after applying lipstick or eyeshadow. Doubles the makeup duration. Inhibits makeup from smudging. (If any of these items don't work due to the "misc item click bug", drop 1 unit on the ground and pick it up again.) - wearing foundation and makeup and fixation on both lips and eyes will give the "perfect makeup" buff (slightly increases magicka regeneration and decreases stamina regeneration). - applying softer layers of lipstick and eyeshadow ("normal", "thick") will now last as long as applying "very thick" makeup - nail polish base coat and top coat: To be used on your fingers or toes before/after applying nail polish. Fast drying. Using one type of nail coat extends the duration of nail polish by 40%; using both base and top coat extends the duration by 80%. - nail cuticle remover: to be used before applying base coat and nail polish. Extends nail polish duration by an additional 20%. - using cuticle remover + base coat + top coat when doing fingernails will give the "perfect manicure" buff (increases magical skills, decreases manual skills; and there is a chance to drop small items when trying to pick them up). This buff will also be granted when getting nails professionally done. - "perfect makeup" and "perfect manicure" will also increase fashion level Aside from these benefits, all these items don't show any visual effect. - increased the default duration of professional manicure by a few days - added a new "perfect makeup" guide book and updated the nail polish guide book available from YPS vendors. In addition, the YPS network is still expanding into more remote regions. New YPS fashion vendors can now be found in three medium sized towns of Skyrim: Yvra (Vilemyr Inn, Ivarstead), Yrica (Rorik’s Manor, Rorikstead), Yngi (Riverwood Trader, Riverwood) [install the new sound&texture pack to avoid the black face bug, or use the patch for SE] Further changes: - new thought conditions: "ypsPerfectMakeup", "ypsPerfectManicure" - When displaying the fashion status window, will play your fashion status as thought (e.g. after looking into the mirror), and show some info about your current lover status. Integration of other mods: - It is definitely a bad idea to get Bimbofied during the Dibella quest. The Bimbos of Skyrim curse now gets disabled just before the player changes into female, and enabled again when quest ends. (untested) - for modders: YPS gender change will fire the following mod event: SendModEvent(eventName = "yps_GenderChange", strArg = "", numArg = Gendervalue as Float) ; Gendervalue 0 = male, 1 = female 1

Hair dye kits have been requested recently. I am not sure about how to implement the "messy" outcome. Hair dyes just might get a color way off. But what negative side effects should (for example) using scissors have? I don't have a "messy" category for hairstyles yet. Seems difficult to implement. 4 minutes ago, Garfieldcat said: There is still one thing I miss from the catalogue of YPS salons... Balgin Posted May 19, 2024 Posted May 19, 2024 (edited) 17 minutes ago, emily1673 said: But what negative side effects should (for example) using scissors have? Split ends? It could inhibit hair growth speed (and hairdressers could fix split ends by simply performing a normal hair makeover (even if it's the same length and style) instead of needing a separate treatment option to fix it. Split ends should not be automatic but could be a random chance. Possibly related to pick pocket or lockpicking skills but also possibly entirely random (not to encourage the use of certain skills or playstyles). Alternatively there could be a chance the user could cut the hair shorter than intended. Especially if aiming for a shorter style instead of a light trim. It should probably not be too much shorter than intended. Only a small difference or so although the amount of deviation could be related to the intended length. Possibly also a chance to cut the hair too long if intending a shorter style as well. So longer styles might get cut a little bit too shorter (too nervous to cut the correct length). Mid length styles might get cut shorter with more variation than longer styles (overdoing it/clumsy/overconfidence) and then shorter styles might get cut too short (overcompensating) or too long (undercompensating, difficulty "seeing" the back and sides of the head etc, difficulty reaching certain areas) although with less variation because you've got less length to play with at this stage. kapibar Posted May 19, 2024 Posted May 19, 2024 (edited) Hey @emily1673! You're doing some mighty fine job recently. The new hairstyle preview system is much superior, thank you for addressing that. I have one more minor suggestion - would it be possible to add "finish selection" button on every subpage? It would be more efficient than going back to the first page. I was also wondering about another implementation - ripped stockings. YPS doesn't have any destruction mechanic, but I suppose it would be doable. Would you consider adding such functionality if I provide you with ripped stockings textures for Equippable Stockings? Edited May 19, 2024 by kapibar

I already added a "finish selection" button on the current page after choosing a hairstyle (it is at the bottom of the list). I think that is convenient enough: Have found a hairstyle you like? Then click "finish" on the bottom (no need to browse back to the first page). Ripped stockings are also on the list. But that would be also a new mechanic, I haven't put much thought into it yet.

Maybe it's time to buy glasses. Anyway, when I have a moment I'll make ripped stockings/pantyhose texture so when you have time to work on it, you'll at least have those handy.

There should be notifications or popups when you click on them. There is a general Skyrim bug with "misc items", that clicking of them does not work, unless you drop 1 to the ground and pick it up again.. (That's the reason why I reworked the lipstick into potions by the way). Try to buy just a single item, maybe that will work. Do some other misc items work?
