Skse team better intergrate your tweak into their dll soon. It is about time to break away from memory allocation induced ctds and i am sure they know it.

That would be awesome. Also would it mean that 3.1GB Skyrim crash would be fixed without need to use ENBoost (ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=true)?

And all those memory patches (like SKSE heap patch etc.) would not be needed anymore right?

Posted new version 10 and a file on nexus for preloading plugin: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/75795/?

Sorry pushto for late :D

Sorry I am not entirely sure what it does and what positive effects it has on the game? I was so looking at post further up do I need to delete this in my SKSE.ini

 [Memory]

DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768

ScrapHeapSizeMB=256

and do I need the latest ENB files as well?

Posted

It doesn't do anything unless you set UseOSAllocators=1 in CrashFixPlugin.ini file. You don't have to remove those lines from SKSE.ini and it's compatible with any ENB but does not require any - it's completely separate.

That's awesome. thank you for this plugin.

Same, after clicking the SKSE icon get the normal box appear but then it doesnt launch into skyrim (beth logo etc) checking in task manager it stays there for about 30 seconds then goes

Guessing we need to change some stuff to get the nexus mod to work

no installed the files manually from both crash fix and the skse loader mod from nexus, from the nexus page others using that mod have same issue

Posted

Hmm some people are having this issue, I'm not sure why. Are you using MO ?

yea for the crashfix 10 files

is there annything i can do to get some info that can help u understand it?

Posted

Just tried removing the two  files from SKSE Plugin Preloader and setting that crash fix to off and skse launcher is back to normal for me, the dude is looking at the nexus mod at the moment from the posts on there so will just have to wait a while for him to fix

Posted

well i removed the d3dx9_42.dll file and then it started like it should idk if that is helpfull

oki well skyrim managed to start but when i tried to load my game it crashed

Problem is more complicated than I thought, disabled the SKSE preloader page on nexus for now until I can solve.

No worries, man. I'd be happier if I don't have to use the preloader anyway. Well, I've successfully compiled skse_steam_loader.dll, and wow this thing is a miracle I must say..

I turned off Sheson's patch (1280MB allocated, which has been slowing down the ingame fps tremendously so far), turned on UseOSAllocators=1, turned off WarnSKSEMemoryPatch=0. And VOILA, I traveled to Dead Crone Rock to deal with a bunch of Forsworns with

Deadly Mutilation + Dual Sheathe Redux + Duel + Action Combat + Locational Damage + Cloaks of Skyrim + Enhanced Blood + Bloody Facial + tkDodge + LockOn + Wet and Cold + ASIS + SkyRe + ...

and Not a single CTD!

I put the file back up on nexus, new version. Used a different method to do the thing, try if it works now (SKSE plugin preloader).

yea i got in just fine had alittle loadorder problem since iv been getting some new mods :P

btw is there anny way to fix it so that my game doesnt stop responding when i load into the game ? it seems like my load time would be 1/5 of what it is now if that didnt happen

I'm not sure how to fix that nanomori. Thallassa said that if you use the malloc patch it also fixed the getting stuck load screen, although it may have been a coincidence too.
