h38fh2mf, I'm having a small problem, updated to crash fix 10 and put in the latest Preload patch, removed sheson patch from skse.ini, enabled UseOSAllocators=1, start the game up, and on loading, silent crash out, if I disable UseOSAllocators=0, I can load fine with the Preload patch still in place, is there a way to enable logging on the Preload patch?

Yes, create a file "d3dx9_42.log" in same directory as the DLL file. Start the game again, it will write to that log when file exists.

Nice improvement on loading time, (from my experience), e.g.  circa 140 seconds down to between 48 seconds & 57 seconds on a particular save, (did it a few times to make sure). I doesn't seem to improve cell transition though, (i.e. on simple tests of going from riverwood tower basement to the outside world after loading into the basement save, it takes circa 40 seconds on the old V9 & the new V10).

(ps really big Lootification file :shy: - tends to make loads reallly really slow).

Ok, weirdness is resulting, with UseOSAllocators=0 the log reads Attempting to load "C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\SKSE\Plugins\CrashFixPlugin.dll".

Successfully loaded "C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\SKSE\Plugins\CrashFixPlugin.dll" and the game loads it's save, when I have UseOSAllocators=1, I get Attempting to load "C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\SKSE\Plugins\CrashFixPlugin.dll". Successfully loaded C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\SKSE\Plugins\CrashFixPlugin.dll" and the game crashes on trying to load it's save. Go figure... Just checked, can't even start a new game without a crash before it's finished loading.

Oh yeah I heard someone say that if you have ExpandSystemx64 = true or whatveer it's called in enblocal.ini then there is a problem. Set it false there.

You might want to sticky that part about disabling ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true on the front page, h38fh2mf.

I added it to the instructions part, thanks.

Preloader is only needed if you use UseOSAllocators=1 and SSME is overwritten by this setting. Choose either SSME or UseOSAllocators=1

well then im guessing i should make my load order like body and visual stuff then animations then all the other stuff i want then the quests and stuff like that at the end

This preloader thingy overwrites SSME's dll. (

Yes it does.  But consider the entire point of the pre-loader is that you don't need SSME anymore.

Oh, ok. This explains alot.

Tried UseOSAllocators=1 just now, Skyrim crashed during loading 4 times in a row. What could be wrong i wonder.

Yep, same stuff as Slammer64 has up there.

ps: do you think OS allocation is ENBoost compatible?

just gave the new version with the preloader a short test run...

so far everything works fine. starting up, loading savegames, everything looks good... and faster. i also noticed my framerate rised to 60fps (Vsync on). before i had about 40 fps... i use waaay to many mods with lots of scripts.

so two thumps up!!

really great work!

So I'm guessing you didn't need SKSE Devs' permission to use this plugin preloader (or permission to edit the SKSE plugin)? Since Sheson found his own alternative?

I don't know why but I keep getting crashes in the beginning everytime with this active even with expandmemory false

edit: I managed to get it to work it was on my sorry, thanks so much for this fix you're amazing!!!~
