RitualClarity Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 Yes I thought you were talking about the "Check for mod updates" feature and it causing your auto update. It never happened to me. Strange.

RitualClarity Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Hi im new to LL but I do get downloading mods both manually and with mod organizer but im trying to download Devious devices assets because its the center piece for all DD mods and DD mods are the center piece for alot of mods im interested in. but anyway here is the problem I use nexous mod installer and they tell you what a file is missing well on the installer it is checked that i installed DDA but when i check my mods that reqire DDA they say its not installed. I've tried manually installing it as well and that hasn't worked either, and also maby I'm not manually installing it right tell me which skyrim folder it goes in or if you had a similar problem with another mod tell me how to fix it PLEASE! You state ... you use Mod Organizer... then you state you are using Nexus Mod manager.. You shouldn't use both of those managers. Things get lost. Choose one manager and stick with it. NMM has been included (limited version) in the Mod organizer so using it besides NMM is not necessary. The main tool is there. (what is needed to make NMM mods work) Also make sure if you use MO to use the 32 bit version. I don't know if there are any issues with MO or Nexus with DDA. Perhaps someone here could chime in. Following proper mod installation instructions both should work (managers that is)
prinyo Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 I think they missed the "a". As in "downloading mods both manually and with A mod organizer". Hence the confusion. I didn't understand "who" says the DDA is not installed. "but when i check my mods that reqire DDA they say its not installed" Where do you see that? In NMM click the Plugins tab and see if all needed plugins are enabled (the checkboxes are checked).

Following proper mod installation instructions both should work (managers that is) sorry for the confusion yeah I use nexus mostly the only reason I got organizer is because devious devices assets wasn't working so I tried to see if MO would work and its just the same, actually worse when I download the mod it doesn't even show up on the MO app Do yourself a favor and stick with NMM it is what you know how to work with. I wish I could help you further with the mod but there is likely some minor step you have missed to get it to work and show up. I use NMM for Fallout 4 and never had a mod not show up after being installed. Are you sure you activated it? Anyway.. if still having some problems with the actual mod (only that mod) then perhaps check and post on that thread as well just in case there is some missing step.
prinyo Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 If the esp files are correctly put into the "data" directory then I guess the problem is in the load order. Click on the plugin shown in red. See the name of the missing file and check if it exists in the list and is above.
Guest Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 NMM 0.62.0 is out Impact: MajorType: New Features and many bugfixesNew Features Added the Backup Manager (new button under the Tools menu): users will now be able to backup and restore their mod installation, base game files and the NMM Mods folder.. Added new setting to the General settings tab where the user can set whether NMM should manage the mod name or leave it as the user set it. NMM now supports the multi mod selection when using the mod delete function. NMM will now be able to retrieve mod categories from the web server (a new button has been added to the Categories submenu). Bug Fixes Fixed a bug causing virtual install and profile config files to become bloated, an automatic file fixing procedure will take care analyze your config files and fix them when you start NMM (This can be a lenghty but necessary process). Fixed several crashes when trying to save the profile config. Fixed confirmation prompt when exiting the program. Fixed crash caused by some special characters in the profile name. Various fixes and tweaks to the "Check for mod updates" and "Get missing download ID" functions. Fixed mod installation when the mod's downloadID was invalid. Fixed issue where NMM was unable to retrieve the mod version when loading the profile's mod list (also randomly causing a crash). Added more feedback to the profile switching process when disabling links from the previous profile, previously NMM seemed to hang. Fixed long profile names breaking the UI, NMM will now also prevent users to set names longer than 64 chars. Fixed crash when NMM tries to read the plugins.txt or loadorder.txt files that are locked for access by another program. Fixed issue where right-clicking on a profile in the profile tab didn't select the profile. Fixed renaming issue with some special characters causing empty profile names. Fixed the progress bar popup randomly starting to blink after changing the loadorder. Fixed profile switch related crash when removing old plugins. Fixed crash when switching game modes. Fixed crash issue when saving or loading a profile. Fixed mod migration crash. Updated 7zip libraries to address security issues. Updated Fallout 4 categories. Fixed stuck queue issue with invalid mod or download IDs. Fixed crash issues when updating a mod IDs in the current profile. Tweaked connection issues feedback. Fixed issue preventing the mod migration procedure from properly importing the backup file. Fixed issue causing mod reinstalls to fail while using the multi-HD mode. Fixed issue where dash characters were added to a downloaded mod name. Fixed Supported Tools config window popping under its dropdown menu. Tweaked and re-enabled the mod upgrade functionality, if it doesn't work for a mod file it means the mod author didn't properly set it as a new version of the previous file. Fixed crash issues when saving or updating the profile's modlist xml file. NMM will now provide feedback when the 'Check for mod updates' or 'DownloadID' related functions fails. Fixed issue where a downloaded mod may not show up in the Mods list when using custom categories. Fixed wrong popup menu location when clicking the 'Check for mod updates' button. NMM will now properly recognize newer FO4 DLCs as such. Fixed another issue that could cause broken records to be added to the profile NMM is switching to and preventing NMM to remove linked files. Fixed crash issue when the profile id is null. Fixed issue where activating a new mod wasn't saving the mod entries in the virtual install config files, thus showing the mod as disabled when restarting NMM. Download: my OP under NMM - downloads (Virus free rar installers): or you can go directly to Nexus: http://www.nexusmods...ds/modmanager/?
Slorm Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 Just tested it briefly and they do seem to have fixed the wrong download ID issue at long last, so it does now correctly update the latest version numbers
Guest Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 Thanks for the report slorm. I just did a back up of all my mods, game and similar. Going to test how it's working. So far, I?m thrilled with 0.62 version. Improved very much. It will take a lot of time to test all features but will do it. That means that main page have to be updated too. Would surely need a help.
Guest Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 YAY -Backup is working. The longest operation time was archiving complete (all 5 options) of back up. Will describe procedure later. My god, this is complete remake of NMM. Great job NMM team.
RitualClarity Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 Your back Thanks for the report.. that is a massive amount of updates.. I really wish MO II had least some updates.. The NMM team is really working on improving the shit out of the manager.. Looks like they fixed the things ghat many long time users were stating were keeping them from upgrading?
RitualClarity Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 Updated and just checking for updates and seems to be more responsive than before. Not choking like it did before. I can see it is moving through the very large list of mods I have. Provides good feed back FALLOUT 4 it seems to work with the updates. I had some issues with the Armor and Weapons Keyword Resource showing it needed to be updated recently and this found it right away. It downloaded it quite well and fast. The Uninstall/ install was responsive however this is a very small file. I believe it moved a bit faster than before. regardless of size I always had a slight pause right before the mod shows installed or uninstalled. this time it didn't. Don't have much else to test it with. I don't run very many mods currently with my game. Advise. I can't remember if I am to deactivate or uninstall as the best way to clean out the files for upgrading. Which should I do? I want to however still keep the old mods there.

Oh yes, my friend..... I'm so thrilled. There is a work on testing the new version for several days. But as far as I noticed this version is closest version to MO so far. I'm sure there are some bugs, but they already fixed a tone of stuff.
RitualClarity Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 FALLOUT 4 I randomly checked some of the mods to see if the files were truly updated and after several dozens of mods checked I haven't found one that wasn't fully updated that NMM stated was. Now to be honest.. I only found on rare occasions issues with the NMM updater with Fallout 4 in the past.. Just putting my info out there. Hope it helps. Now we just need links or such for tutorials on the new features and how to get the best from them
Guest Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 ritual - please forgive me, but I'm not sure I understood your post correctly: did NMM team fixed the bugs in latest NMM version for FO4 or not?
RitualClarity Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 I haven't had bugs.. I didn't really have any problems most of the mods I used seem to be immune to the issues. I occasionally did have to check for the version to be sure it was updated mostly when another mod that required them needed the updated version. I was just reporting that some of the ones that needed to be manually checked are working (total of 1 or 2) and checked the rest of the game files (for the most part not each one but many of them I have loaded) and they were all properly recognized so far for Fallout 4. only mentioned it because some have stated there was a problem. Sorry for any confusion.
Guest Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 First reported issues about 0.62.0 Some people reported that mods being disabled or/and disappeared when upgrading NMM from 0.62.22/23 to 0.62.0. The bugs are apparently irreparable for now and NMM is working on fixing the bugs I can't confirm those bugs since I didn't have any problems with either, upgrading the manager and installing from the scratch.
prinyo Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 "1. Fixed a bug causing virtual install and profile config files to become bloated, an automatic file fixing procedure will take care analyze your config files and fix them when you start NMM (This can be a lenghty but necessary process)." This is the fix for one of the two big problems I was talking about before. The "mod migration" where active mods would end-up in wrong profiles and at some point some profiles will have less or more active mods than they should. But the "automatic file fixing procedure" seems to be the source of the problem some people are having at the moment when upgrading. This release is quite surprising for me. I expected the first autumn release to have the profile sharing feature that they were working on for several months. And I expected a bigger number at the end of the version number. I've been using 0.62.19 for several months now (from the time I was in the beta testing group). Instead they release an older version with incorporated patches that were accumulated in the beta versions in the summer. I wonder if this means they have abandoned the profile sharing feature or they had some other reason to pump-up an older version and release it.
Guest Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 A new topic is posted on OP - How to make Backup and how to restore your Backup in 0.62.0

I got that, it was a bit weird as on the plugin list page everything was still showing as enabled, but on the main page everything was showing as disabled. It took me ages to sort everything out as I'd already had quite a few disabled mods on the main page before the update and I had to double check with the plugin list to make sure I wasn't enabling mods I didn't want.
Guest Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 NMM 0.62.0 new function - Purge loose files Anyone with good knowledge of English, please explain this (see the picture in spoiler) because I do not know how to explain this function. I do know what it does, just don't know how say it ... Thank you.
JRCosta Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 NMM 0.62.0 new function - Purge loose files Anyone with good knowledge of English, please explain this (see the picture in spoiler) because I do not know how to explain this function. I do know what it does, just don't know how say it ... Thank you. Apparently that function will remove every file from the data folder that is not: - from the base game; - on .bsa (CK archived/packed) format.
