Good news: I decided to wipe F:NV from my computer and reinstall it and downloaded all the mods I'd been using previously again. Turns out I was missing one of the files for Sexout Pregnancy, which seemed to be the cause of all the issues I'd been having.

On another note, I was thinking of making a discussion topic about Fallout 4 and whether their will be a Breeder-esque mod for it, discussing what could be done with the creatures present in it. If I do, feel free to join that discussion! :P

Believe me, there's plenty of planning going on behind the scenes already ;)

I'm 100% certain pepertje already has an entire library worth of plans and ideas for that. If you're ever over in the Netherlands it's entirely possible you may be able to visit it.

Hahah, Sadly I'm in Australia and a trip that far would be out of the question, still, it'd be awesome to hold a discussion about it at some point!

Honestly if I knew how to I'd work on making mods myself, but my skills are limited to art, I tried coding at school but it didn't work out so well.

Texture art is needed for many things. Perhaps practice with that, some mesh editing and such. Also modding isn't just coding, there are simple task that can be done with the GECK such as equipment list and such, quest, dialogue etc. All it takes is a bit of practice and the willingness to learn. If coding don't work for you you still have a massive amount of other task you can do even animations (which have a very limited amount of people doing). And best of all. this site can help you along. There are already tutorials here combined with Besthesda's official tutorials and Youtube you can find pretty much all the info you need and any pieces missing.. just ask here. :D. Well not on this thread but you get the point :P

I'm just curious for when your supposed to get the final wolf mutation. For the first 3 I got it every time I was exposed to the FEV, but the 4th one hasn't shown up yet.

Like Ritual said, there's a lot that goes into a mod. I happen to really like the scripting side of it, but many mod's include little to no scripting. Artistic people are always needed for texture and mesh design. As well as imaginative people who can create the story and background that give the mod it's purpose.

Artistic people are always useful. I know first hand how hard it is to draw digitally. What I'm trying to say: if you want to contribute to the NSFW community, there's tons of ways to do so, drawing/arts is one major way to give people something you create, especially with good graphical artists hard to come by.

I'm sure I could give it a shot, I've never really done much other than line art and a bit of pixel art, but textures are something I could do. I'd actually been planning to design a set of wallpapers and items for a game on steam, you know, the trading card stuff, just because I thought it'd be good to practice different stuff.

Sounds good. I am pretty sure Pepertje or even gamedude might find a few meshes or textures that could use some tweaking.. :D

Sorry about that ChrisB16. I looked into it and mutation level 4 wasn't working due to it using some outdated sexout functions. I have updated in v8.7d which is now available for download so it should be working now. If you ask fenris again after you're already level 3 you should see a message pop up (probably after sex anim) and then your char should 'transform' into the final stage.

:D v8.7d is available in the download section :exclamation:

For the handful of you that downloaded v8.7c when it was available please I would still like to know very much if the hotkey customization worked as intended. Then again I'm sure I'll hear about it for hotfix d if it isn't working.

Send me the files and I'll transfer them to my 'work' computer. Meaning the only one I own with Photoshop. ;)

I had pepertje NCRify a custom armor set a little while back that I plan to use for Samantha as her 'good girl' set i.e. she survives the promontory uncorrupted. If you want to take a look at those and see if you can make them even better be my guest. You should already have the files as they're included in the breederdatav27 download. I'll put the file path below.

....textures\SOBsam\SamClothes\Not_Corrupt

The other thing I could use help with is a Jade Outift P1-P7 set that I promised Pepertje a while back. I have rough meshes of about P1-P3, so if you want to try your hand at mesh editing (and hate your life) let me know and I'll send them your way. You're going to need to have some knowledge of either blender or 3ds max for that, along with nifskope which is leaps and bounds simpler.

Well, I've used both Blender and 3D Max, with varying degrees of success. On a side note, I found this when exploring with Fenris. http://imgur.com/fbNOlgc I'm not exactly sure it's meant to be there, it was at the Scorpion Gulch/Valley (can't remember too drunk). But anyway, I'll give it a shot for you.

As for my thoughts on Fo4 and Breeder, god, idk. I'd definitely like to see some mutations again. (Fenris mutations are just... I didn't know I wanted it.)

That's from the old scorpion questline that user29 more or less cut from the mod. Maybe if scorpions ever get some genitals and a proper animation or two I'd look into restoring it.

Got a wee problem with the Deathclaw quest, I successfully distracted the guard, but the moment I go up the path and into a round cave with the middle taken up by a supporting rock, my character can't move and the HUD vanishes. Since we're probably in different timezones, I'll spend some time testing to see if I can circumvent the issue, instead of waiting for a response. :P

I believe you're supposed to wait for Sam there.

Yeah as Pepertje said that is intentional, so Sam is able to come from behind and speak to you. If she is not doing so then please let me know where/what she is doing when your controls are locked. You can just tfc to find her.

I checked with tfc and found her standing in the main cave, where the ambush drops us. I also used EnablePlayerControls and found that when I approach her she opens up the dialogue that is supposed to be said when my character freezes.

Deja vu. Do me a favor, while your char is locked in position and Sam is twiddling her thumbs in the main chamber, get me a debug file. I would like to try to find out what's causing this, and I can only assume it's a mod conflict of some sort.

Anyway, after you do that you should tfc over to Sam, select her in the console and type setrestrained 0. I think this will solve your problem since it worked for a few others who reported this issue a little while back. How in the world is she ending up restrained? I have no damn idea, but I'm hoping the debug can help me finally figure that out.

If she's not supposed to be restrained, perhaps a script snippet could help, just a couple of lines in a script.

Begin GameMode

;These ID's probably aren't the right ones, but you get the idea
if A2SamREF.GetInCell A2DeathClawCave==1 && A2SamREF.GetRestrained==1

A2SamREF.SetRestrained 0

endif

end

You could attach this to Sam's script or the Deathclaw quest script, whichever you think fits. It's a crude workaround and doesn't unearth the cause, but if it keeps her from freezing up because of a mod conflict, I think it'll save a lot of headaches.

Posted

Yeah I was thinking of do something like that, but I'd really like to find out why the hell it's happening in the first place. Since I can't replicate the issue myself I'm probably going to need 2 or 3 debug logs.

Not sure if this is related but User29's version about 6.something if my memory is correct had that very same nasty bug. Your toon would get stuck right there on the way out. Perhaps some recent script changes brought that bug back?
