Checkers confirmed! All aboard the hype train, choo, choo!

Seriously though, I'm excited for it. It looks undoubtedly like Mount & Blade, but that hasn't stopped me to enjoy it in the past. The advanced modding tools look decent as well, so here's to hope that the community will make some awesome mods for it, like they did for M&B Warband.

I like that the second video's first highlight is board games.

It's a nice addition but too trivial to be included in a video like this. I think, they have been working on the engine and development tools for all these years, rather than the game itself, hence the lack of content to show. Yes, there is progress, but they are pretty slow. The game's graphics will again be the main focus of criticism when it is released, because it will lag behind by a couple of years.

I'm kinda pissed at TaleWorld, because I keep checking their development blog for Bannerlord like several times per week, just to check if there's anything new. There has been no update at all during GamesCom. And now I find the videos here, on LoversLab. That tells a lot about their dev blog, but also about the LoversLab community! :)

I hope that they vastly improved kingdom/city/village/army and feudal ties aspects, because some mods out there just put devs in shame.

Ending their relationship with Paradox as the publisher was a mistake in my opinion. They obviously lack the experience and need some help in handling PR. Sadly, it probably means no boxed copies of Bannerlord as well.

well looking at other Paradox titles, and this is just uneducated speculation, but it might be because M&B isn't designed for hundreds of DLC and PI was pushing for it.

Mainly I just hope the game will continue to be more or less mod-friendly.

Maybe this video give you more hope...

And for those asking, devs want to release the game next year, but that is just an estimation, they didn't communicate an official "release date" yet.

This game is gonna be so epic.

Especially if they decide to make it moddable!

Well, their previous game, Warband, is both epic and moddable. :)

225km2 thats mean an 15km*15km area, pretty big. I wonder how big the resolution map size would be. In the first mount & blade the bigger the map, the lower the resolution (ble that the same with all the engines actually) but I tried to create a huge map a few years ago, and the resolution was so tiny, that the mountains were tetrahedrons.
