bjornk Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Someone on the TW forums has posted a link to the presskit which includes the videos, screenshots, factsheet and stuff: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0ByyYc84az3EqRzZMYi1Za3djY28 Here's a link to the 1500 page Bannerlord thread, if you are crazy enough to follow it: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,249537.0.html
BruceWayne Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Checkers confirmed! All aboard the hype train, choo, choo! Seriously though, I'm excited for it. It looks undoubtedly like Mount & Blade, but that hasn't stopped me to enjoy it in the past. The advanced modding tools look decent as well, so here's to hope that the community will make some awesome mods for it, like they did for M&B Warband.
SexDwarf2250 Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Abused peasants demand for BUTTERLORD TO ARRIVE!
Angrybird Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 I like that the second video's first highlight is board games.
bjornk Posted August 6, 2015 Author Posted August 6, 2015 I like that the second video's first highlight is board games. It's a nice addition but too trivial to be included in a video like this. I think, they have been working on the engine and development tools for all these years, rather than the game itself, hence the lack of content to show. Yes, there is progress, but they are pretty slow. The game's graphics will again be the main focus of criticism when it is released, because it will lag behind by a couple of years.
Darkening Demise Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 I'm just glad they overhauled sieges, the best part of the game. Always enjoyed defending or invading in siege battles.
ChancellorKremlin Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Looks awesome! Reminds me a little of Melee Battlegrounds, but on a much larger scale. Can't wait!
SexDwarf2250 Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Looks awesome! Reminds me a little of Melee Battlegrounds, but on a much larger scale. Can't wait! Have you played Warband? If not, you should take a look at it.
kazzy Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Ooooh Thanks, how did I miss this Love the MnB series
Ana Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 I'm kinda pissed at TaleWorld, because I keep checking their development blog for Bannerlord like several times per week, just to check if there's anything new. There has been no update at all during GamesCom. And now I find the videos here, on LoversLab. That tells a lot about their dev blog, but also about the LoversLab community!
windpl Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 I hope that they vastly improved kingdom/city/village/army and feudal ties aspects, because some mods out there just put devs in shame.

Ending their relationship with Paradox as the publisher was a mistake in my opinion. They obviously lack the experience and need some help in handling PR. Sadly, it probably means no boxed copies of Bannerlord as well.

Vykroft Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 AWESOME can't wait to test the game and "play" with the new construction kit, i was tired of the old Module system.
SexDwarf2250 Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 I hope that they vastly improved kingdom/city/village/army and feudal ties aspects, because some mods out there just put devs in shame. Mainly I just hope the game will continue to be more or less mod-friendly.

And for those asking, devs want to release the game next year, but that is just an estimation, they didn't communicate an official "release date" yet. blabba Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 This game is gonna be so epic. Especially if they decide to make it moddable!
bjornk Posted August 22, 2015 Author Posted August 22, 2015 This game is gonna be so epic. Especially if they decide to make it moddable! Well, their previous game, Warband, is both epic and moddable.
Vykroft Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 225km2 thats mean an 15km*15km area, pretty big. I wonder how big the resolution map size would be. In the first mount & blade the bigger the map, the lower the resolution (ble that the same with all the engines actually) but I tried to create a huge map a few years ago, and the resolution was so tiny, that the mountains were tetrahedrons.
