I am Officially Off This Thread!

Too much shit being tossed at others, Grow up Assholes and understand YOU are not King of all peoples Likes and dislikes. A Dictator tells everyone what they can and cannot like, post, be happy with......Later Tators!

Please, don't let your frustration drive you off the thread.    @Wandering_Mania keeps on posting though there were some who voiced their dislike of what he was posting.   @Grey Cloud and I have our disagreements to be sure, but in the end, his comments (and mine back to him) do not matter in the larger scheme of things.   I like this venue, not because I get to hear music that I know I like, but because I get to hear music that I don't know I don't like.   

 

I understand if you find the thread too stressful and "not fun", but......I am gonna insult the younger people on this thread, we shouldn't let the younger generations' love of "outrage" culture (i.e. the tendency to view everything, from a lack of avocado toast to genocide in Africa as equally morally outrageous events).   I ask you to let the negative comments slide off and keep posting.     Selfishly, I enjoy listening to what you post.    Now I will say that @ramrod126 did expose me to an alternative form to one of my favorite songs, making me think it is sacrilegious, but....  at least it is a form of one of my fav songs.

I expressed an opinion about a certain type of music. People are free to agree or disagree with that opinion as they see fit.

Grow up? You are flouncing off while calling others 'assholes' and comparing them to dictators. ?

You are right though, "Not Fun" is exactly it, I stood up for @Wandering_Mania because who in the world likes getting bashed for their taste in anything, everyone wants acceptance, inclusion. @Grey Cloud cannot seem to just leave it alone, the name calling, the taunts, the Dictating, is too much. Who made him King of the forum? If he does not enjoy that kind of music he should keep his fucking opinion to himself, it's none of his business what others choose to like or dislike and he should not Dick-Tate, spelling intentional, what is an acceptable post.

That is the Moderators job.

In the same tone @Wandering_Mania could be a little less passionate about these things, but music is passion, I mean that his defense is Passionate, and personal, I think we are the last people that should bash each other as we are all in the same family, the Lovers Lab family.

I am just tired of the constant bickering, the name calling the "Boo-Hoo I don't like this Music/No one likes my Music" so I interceded, did alot of good huh. 

I don't care for @Wandering_Mania Type of Music, but I like the experience of trying new things, Some of @Grey Cloud Music I do not like either. But no one should tell either one of them what Music is acceptable or unacceptable! The content of the post's however is a different matter. 

I believe we should stand up for one another here in this website as we are few, we can get all the hate we want back in the world, here we should all be free Brothers and Sisters, Be kind to each other, be patient with each other, be loving to each other, I mean we are all here for the same reason. Feeding what we are passionate about.

So instead of causing more strife I am stepping out, I may return, who knows...........I only know I was having fun for a housebound, old guy who does not have a life, precious.

These skirmishes I have with the touchy-feely brigade always follow the same pattern. For example, I get criticised for name-calling while being called names; (in this case) people being free to like whatever music they want but I'm not free to express an opinion* ; and being accused of things which are pulled from thin air.

 

*unless I agree with their choice which is still  expressing an opinion.
