What music do you listen to?

At this particular moment, the jukebox that cycles through my music collection is playing me this rather appropriate track:

Another cover of the same tune. Not sure about the vocals on this one but love the guitar sound. The harp player has what we around here would call "a proper Derby".

I'd never heard of "Video Unavailable" before I came to this thread but I've got to say that I'm impressed by the wide variety of musical genres and styles they play.

Is it me but if I click on the arrow in the bottom-right it takes me to a page full of thumbnails. Is there a way to go to the video?

Ah, I see. There is no link in that particular post because the video says "This video is not available" but the others like that say "Watch on Youtube".

Here's a few good ones:

Music for little boys who don't really like music but desperately want to appear 'badass'.

Ahh yes, typical projection syndrome. I see it all the time. If you don't like EBM, then just don't listen to it. But don't go tossing out insults that better describe yourself than those you throw them at.

Or in other words:

I got nothing against "hard" music cause i don't like to judge others like that but i prefer something that still sounds musical and melodic despite hardness. If it gets "too hard" it just stops sounding like music to me.

Well you know what they say... "It is the silence between the notes, that makes the music."

But that dude was just attempting to project his own hatred of EBM/Dance/Hardcore onto me, and on top of that added a projection of his own inadequacies; And that just ain't right at all.

I mean the music you post barely has any silence between the notes but alright ?

Just because some aren't quick enough to catch it, doesn't mean it isn't there. The 'pause', or silence, becomes shorter and shorter, the higher the BPM. But if you need something with more slow parts, this one is one of the few that is still in the same range.

Still, I could go back to posting more of this if you prefer:

Really? There is projection and there are syndromes but 'psychological projection'?

I'm 65 and have been going to gigs and buying albums since the 1970s. If you look at the music I've posted on here over the years you will see a wide variety of music from folk to heavy metal; from North America to Mongolia; and from the 1930s to the present.

It's easy to tell when the music is crap by looking at the shock value album cover and the provocative song titles.

Your sig's a dead giveaway too. I've been in the army, have you?

It's okay, it was just that particular post from steelpanther which didn't have the link. (I edited my post several hours ago).

If the pauses only last for nanoseconds do they really count? Again i got nothing against people listening to whatever kind of music they wanna listen to i don't personally judge but in my opinion there has to be a meaningful cord progression (or a flow in case of rap) before i can like it. If the music is more likely to give me a headache than a good experience then it's closer to being noise than music.

And some people, including myself, say that rap/pop isn't music? But does that make it fact? No. Because to those that like it, it is music. So when you say stuff like "for those that don't like music but want to look badass"... You don't know me, so how would you know what I do, or do not like? And how do you know that I ain't a 'badass'? It's all your projection. And it's got to stop.

I have answered this on another topic, but for your trolling sake I will answer it here as well if you drop it.

I would have joined the service right out of high school 20 years ago; But I had multiple 'disqualifiers' on my head, that make me ineligible. Bipolar 2, I had to take meds on a regular basis, plus more, but those are the main ones.

Now are we done with the inquisition? Can we get back to the music?

Music is music, and I like my music extremely fast. But is this any better?

Yes, I get that from some of the people who post from outside the US.  Guessing it is something related to international copyright or some other such protection.  I noticed it mostly with vevo songs that won't allow embedded posting.

Now you sound just like Peter Griffin.

How do I sound like Peter Griffin in that? I'll admit that I don't like rap and pop music, and I sometimes will say "It isn't music at all"; But I know saying that, doesn't make it true.

And I certainly don't go projecting my disliking of certain types of music onto others, saying stuff like Grey Cloud said. But at least I'm honest in what I see, and say.

So if y'all hate the high BPM music so much, I can just go back to not posting anything; Is that what y'all prefer?
