Dark Techno is a mix between different techno subgenres, think about industrial, acid, ambient, hardwave, synthwave etc. But what is the difference between normal techno and dark techno? Dark techno isn't about beats per minute but rather about the "vibe" the music gives. Dark Techno comes in slow aswell in fast beats per minutes. It gives a dystopian, ominous, subversive and eerie feeling. I found a funny comparison on a website, Techno > ET movie Dark Techno > Alien movie Dark Techno goes very well hand in hand with Cyberpunk. Cyberpunk is also one of the main genre's for Dark Techno. I will give a few examples. I will warn you, it's not easy music to listen to. It's not music for relaxing. Spoiler Here is a very good Dark Techno mix. Well, I have listened to it for the past 20 years after I got sick of US/American music, never went to any shows, being broke also sucks. But could you define what you mean by 'childish'. Because I'm not sure how it could in any way be seen as such. Unless one sees a 'death fixation', and/or 'Anger Management Issues' as 'childish'. Something like:
