I also have the Rayne+Harley event right now, with only Harley in my court,

after a clean install (new game, previous version deleted, user data folder deleted)

maybe the check if rayne is present has to be in the DWCourt.1009 Character event random list, not in the narrative event?

Haven't played the latest version yet and I am, at very best, an amateur at CK2 coding, but maybe a bounce check like what is done with the werewolf event would work; I have a feeling that messing with DWCourt.1009 would just cause more trouble. I have very little idea as to how this stuff works, but maybe having the the limit-break check occur when the narrative event fires is messing up its ability to break should the check fail (and no limit-break should ever fail)

Yeah, I think my interpretation of how the break is supposed to work is the issue. I thought it would terminate the entire event, but it may only terminate the block that it's in, in this case the block being the immediate section, thus allowing the option to still go on.

 

I just find it a little funny that in almost 40 years of play testing with Harley, that it didn't fire once for me apparently, leading me to believe it was perchance working as intended.

 

I've split the check out into its own hidden event that will hopefully die and thus kill the chain. Posting up a v1.23a here in the next 5-10 minutes.

Could someone tell me how to get the bloodmoon event? I read that i should be able to do it on april after i have had the dream event, where i become a succubus. I had the event and became succubus but bloodmoon event wont show up, tried with lilithian religion and without it.

Also how to get lilithian religion if i started with some other religion?

Triggered through the intrigue menu. You need to be at peace, with an unoccupied holding, not hiding, not in prison, at least may but before july, have 25 wealth and at least one vassal.

Ok, but will it only show up in intrique menu if i have all thous requirements? Because i thought it will show up anyway and i just cant do it then, currently i´m only missing one vassal. Also do i need to be lilithian religion for it?

 

Edit: Nvm, was the vassal thing, started new game with someone who had vassal and after the dream it showed up. Thanks for reply.

Has anyone else had trouble with the whole slave training thing?

The training itself seems to work fine(although I never got any training events).

Trying to actually sell the slave seems glitchy though. Often I have to try several times before it seems to trigger, and when it finally does, the slave is just banished to another country(no event popup) and I earn no gold from the deal.

Sounds like a bad bounce if you're not seeing a slave sale event, which means whoever is seeing it is collecting your gold. And unless you've the logic to handle a true post sale location assignment, the breaking of their previous ties, followed with a banishment is how it has always been handled. It simple and the ruler of where every the person ends up will have the ability to use any Slavery decisions that they qualify for themselves (which includes making the slave a guard if applicable or once again selling them).

 

I have to admit that I was focused on ensuring you could keep a slave properly. And outside of events were you should be able to select their training category, see if they're eligible for more, brand them, keep or sell them, and opt to keep them as a guard if they're trained as a kept warrior, you won't see any other events at this time.

 

The work as I envision it wasn't complete. It was gotten to a working state so I could put out the patch that addressed an issue with a bad spell cost check. I'm pretty certain I mentioned that when I first mentioned the patch coming out to address the bad piety cost issue.

 

There won't be too much more interaction beyond that during the training period outside of perhaps one more event when it's all said and done. I do have more post-slavery events planned though, as folks seemed to be most interested in being able to do something with a slave after they were done beyond selling them.

I haven't tried selling yet, but I was able to train a slave and keep him.  

 

EDIT: this was just answered by the post above.  I am curious though.... are there any events written yet that involve kept trained slaves, or are there any special decisions that can be done with them?

I'm getting several weird events in which some or all of the text is not missing. I had this problem before when I was simultaneously running Dark World and Christianity mod, but now I am having it with just Dark World.

I'm going to miss the ability to make slaves pregnant via the 'train' training option(I thought it was a good way to humiliate the wives of my rivals), but removing all the hassle of individually tracking each slave's progress and assigning proper and relevant training excercises more than makes up for it.

What version of CK2 are you running? If it is 2.45, then my recommendation would be to do the verify your cache via Steam, and then delete the Dark World mod folder and then reinstall it.

 

Typically when I've seen that it's due to a pre-2.4x version of CK2 or something got corrupted.

That kind of thing will come as a post event. For example, a warrior trained slave will have the option of being designated to either be a guard or gladiator specialist. And for a pleasure slave I'm thinking of being able to identify them as either a breeder or entertainer.

Somehow, one of my slaves made it through Pleasure Slave training while keeping her virginity intact. I guess it's because virgins are more valuable? :P

 

Ahh. Hrm. I could see where that would be valuable. Trained in pleasing, while saving the 'fruit' for the buyer. It'd be worth a much higher sale value I would imagine.

Well, I found the problem. It was a small "fix" I made to DW_events.csv. I misread the event title generated for a HarleyxWerewolf event and thought that it was producing the name of the player rather than the werewolf. I probably should have double checked to make sure that was actually the case.

Jessica is missing a health value in her creation event with the result, that the poor girl always dies very fast due to "poor health"

she never lives more than 2-3 years in my games, sometimes dies within a week.

I don't know what the game is assigning a new char as standard value but it seems to be to low in her case.

Hey dew - I think you *may* be using break incorrectly in a few locations, and correctly in others.  No doubt you've already seen this but straight from the CK2 modding page entry:

 

acts as a return statement, causing everything after it (in the main block: option, immediate, ...) to be ignored. It avoids the need to repeat the conditions with NOT operator in another if/limit block, when commands are exclusive. The structure is:

 

if = {
limit = {
#Conditions
}
#Commands to execute if the conditions match
break = yes
}
#Commands to execute if the conditions do not match

 

That said, I've nearly completed a male werewolf exclusive event that introduces an Orc to the court seeking a strong mate for her children.  Shit pots left of tweaks to make (her martial is 29 currently with the traits I assigned her, basically going off the WoW Orc Archetype where she'd be an inhumanly strong warrior raised in a warrior culture that reveres strength and individual combat prowess - but yeh, 29 is a bit much) and the last 'branch' I've plotted out is simply fucking up entirely giving me blank events firing so I'm in the process of ripping out that entire section and rewrite it bit by bit testing each phase ...but if you're open to the addition I'd be glad to share the files in a week or two, however long it takes me to find and crop out appropriate images for the chain instead of just using your excellent pick for the orc portal summon over and over again :P

 

The chain is frankly a bit overpowered as it *can* deliver a strong martial lover into your court who has the chance to pass on a strong bloodline in the orc trait, atop your werewolf trait which is required for it to fire in the first place.  I'll have to tweak some of the percentages and such down for what I think would be a more appropriate 'general' release (I have no problems with a bit OP event in my own games), but the event branch that is currently giving me trouble is a 'negative' branch you can go down and it's pretty brutal on your courtiers.  I also have the idea to expand it by frankly just ripping whole sections of your harley and hunter events and altering them to fit more Orc appropriate events (she urges you to go hunting, challenge another local lord to a duel, etc, things of that nature).

 

To give all credit to you, that's how I've created this chain in the first place, looking to sections where you'd already achieved a desired result and copying that bit over.

 

(damn chain would have been done already and onto picture hunting only if it weren't for several - oops, misstyped that - causing whole sections needing a rewrite. Also, I wrote narration sections in MSWord and copy pasted into notepad++ for the events file...and freaking dashes, elipses, quotation marks, apostraphes, and many other punctuation marks will retain an improper format which gives gibberish in game so I had to go back line by line and delete any punctuation and replace while *within* notepad++ - blegh.)

 

As always, sincere appreciation for the work you've done on this.  The tens of hours I've put into altering and expanding just *one* of your existing event chains + creating a moderate one from scratch gives a greater idea of what you've put into this.

 

Edit** - forgot to ask: have you found that there is any hard limit to 'branching' an event out? like, step one gives you two choices A and B - which each themselves have more than one 'branch' that can be taken, so on and so on?  I'm just wondering if I've encountered that or *how* I've screwed up and caused blank events to fire after a certain branching where line A works out all the way to the end no problems - and itself has its own branches - but line B basically blank-triggers events further down that chain.  Both A and B are options from the same event and I've gone over that event line by line, rewriting it piece by piece, yet 'branch' B continues to have problems. At this point the only thing I haven't done to correct it is rip the entire branch and rewrite literally from scratch line for line, copying nothing just to be sure, which I am currently doing. Tedious, tedious step by step testing =/

 

Edit2** - So I have torn the code apart line by line and done a full rewrite of that section as well as the section immediately preceding it.  The only pieces I left intact were the events in the branches that were proceeding properly. To put it in a simplified event structure chain (there are about 4-6 'events' in each branch):

Event Chain - {

    { option A(Branch1) -> leads to

   Branch1A - proceeds smoothly to finish

   Branch2A - will not fire this event properly no matter what

                 } # branch 1 events

    { option B (Branch2) - proceeds smoothly to finish } # branch 2 events

    { option C (deline) - fires correctly and dismisses any further events } #decline events

}

Yeah, that got me, too, a while back -- I started off as a one-county Tribal ruler, and it took me a while to figure out why the option wasn't coming up.  You aren't alone!

I apologize if this has been asked before, I searched through and did not find anything similar, but I am having a problem with the custom portraits (such as Harley) not appearing and instead just base portraits. 

 

My CK is 2.4.5 and I'm using Arglebargle II, Darkworld 1.23b, ruler designer unlocked, Sexual Crusaders, and shattered World. 

It seems to be when I try to use anything other than Sex crusaders and Dark world, it changes, but I'm about to check for AB II, shattered world, and RDU. 
Edit: Anything other than SC and DW causes the portraits to default

The conditions needed for creating the "choosen one kingdom" seem to me too hard.

When the player tacks control of a second holly county, There isn't anymore interessets, because he's king/emperor yet.

And your territories don't become -de jure- territories.

 

Maybe there is something special planned for the choosen one kingdom, but without it, 2/5 controled is too much, or it should be a "choosen one empire".
