this seems to be working for me in the sense that i see alot of npcs trying to get lucky. they are all getting shot down tho... haven't seen one succesful attempt.

 

Since my involvement in this mod is limited and so are my modding skills, I can't go much into technical details.

Your problem is quite frequent unfortunately, but since you don't have time for reading, I'll try to be brief. SLSL requires some configuration of NPCs to make them have sex. This is where the .json files come into play. If your settings are right, the chance of two NPCs having sex are higher. Unfortunately that's not all. This probability depends also on a character's arousal (SL Aroused Redux) and, most importantly, on their sexual preferences (SexLab or SLAR, depending on your settings). As you can see it may be quite complex. So in order to see some actual action you need to have, for example, a straight male (can be dominant, no racism or other traits) and a straight female (no traits at all) and both should be aroused enough (depending on the threshold you've set). I am not sure, but location may play some role, too. So a tavern or a house would be better than wilderness/street, etc. However, my followers seem not to care about this.

I don't know all the mods out there, but it is possible that some of them interfere with SLSL. If an NPC has something better to do than looking for getting laid he will do so. Interestingly enough, some mods that you think may conflict with SexLife, actually play quite well with it. For instance, Eager NPCs or Lover's Comfort. In case of the former, during a party, NPCs who are not involved in action at the moment, if their aroused enough may in fact approach others and ask them for sex. It includes combinations like follower-guest, housecarl-guest, server-guest, etc.

In case of the latter, when a cople has had comforted each other at night, they may have sex a bit later again via SLSL.

The above description is based on my experience. In a crowded inn there's always a couple having sex. Guards in barracks often take their time as well. However, sometimes I am spending a few hours (game time) in a tavern, talking to NPCs, drinking, eating, etc. and I see nobody who feels like making love, but that's quite rare.

 

I hope this brief explanation ;) will help you somehow. If not I'll try to elaborate further... (actually no, I won't, not enough time).

An idea i'd like to throw your way, it would be nice if there was an option in the MCM to affect every NPC or every type of NPC like exclusively male, female or creature. Like all female NPCs are lesbian, or all male NPCs are dominant. 

 

Perhaps it would be possible to do this for traits (dominant, etc.) but not for sex orientation as it depends on SexLab Framework or SL Aroused. But you'll have to wait for a final word for that from @Dooge.

it works and i think this is a great mod! i've been looking for this for years literally... eveytime i asked for an npc-npc mod everyone wud suggest scent of sex, but that just wasn't wut i was looking for. i'm glad i finally found this mod.

Most likely you have Bestiality enabled in the SLSL MCM. Toggle it off and you should be fine.

Then only one thing comes to my mind - you have an old version of SLSL installed or some old scripts remained and they're messing things up...

I've witnessed over 50 instances of npcs trying to make a move on someone and in 100% of cases they got rejected. This is a fake troll mod that doesn't do anything beyond that, am I right?

uhh no. it works for most ppl. i'm guessing its most likely a setting or something with your setup that is causing ur issues. my sexlife.esp is near the bottom of my load order (dunno if that matters) but mine works all the time. mine works so well i have to disable it when i go to a new area so i can have a chance to select npcs and config their behavior then turn it back on or else everyone start fucking before i get a chance to get situated.

 

the only problem i have is my npcs will try to talk to animals (even tho i have it set not to) ... nothng more immersion breaking than having a female npc try to talk to a horse .... that not the weird part... but when the horse responds with "you're georgous but i'm not in the mood"... lol oh well...

No, you're far from being right. For most people it works just fine, some encounter minor issues. Read the thread, there may be a solution for you.

Most approaches end up being turned down even when everything works properly. It may be the case that when you do get event that would lead to actual sex, the act itself fails or times out.

 

In this thread you can find many examples how to 'set up a testing environment' to validate that some cases do lead to sex. This involves editing NPC traits ingame with SLSL or outside game through json files.

 

This is a chaotic mod, it is intended to be unpredictable and random, as is life. People try to score in odd ways, and most fail.

I love this mod. I'm not sure why but I started a new game recently and the NPCs just get it on right on the floor. In my last playthrough they ran off to somewhere private which is more realistic.

 

Any ideas what might do this? I've disabled the starting teleport in Sexlab options and setp NPCs use beds to always.

The "somewhere private" option is not from this mod. You probably had another mod for that installed (my guess would be Privacy by @vinfamy which I use myself). If not, afaik the "always use beds" in SL is somehow chaotic, but I may be wrong here.

Anyway, if you want the privacy, I would strongly recommend the mod (http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/3530-sexlab-privacy-come-on-not-in-front-of-everyone/) I mentioned above. BTW, other mods by this author are worth trying, too.

The "somewhere private" option is not from this mod. You probably had another mod for that installed (my guess would be Privacy by @vinfamy which I use myself). If not, afaik the "always use beds" in SL is somehow chaotic, but I may be wrong here.

Thanks. I'm already running Privacy and was in the previous playthrough. I'll double check the settings, maybe I missed something.

it's been years since i've gotten 1 successful interaction with this mod.

 

It literally ALWAYS fails and only plays matrix genderfail animation even though its correct gender.

 

 

I DESPERATELY want this mod to work, but ltierally it either fails 99.99% of the time or when it does work it'll play the generic approach dialogue which is frustrating cuz i only have 2 fetish checks in teh MCM menu, cheating and Cuckolding. and it instead jsut plays the plain old "hey you" dialogue.

 

I've been thinking, is it not having a clean save the issue?

 

should i try to re install everything including sexlab aroused redux?

I just uninstalled it... I put this mod in my load order December of last year and I have seen only 2 instances of it ever working...one is a guard and a horse...the other is the jarl of markarth and a dog...even when situations are right for two couples to just get it on like Olfina and Jon even though they are lovers they turn down each other's advances like Catholic Nuns in a Porn Expo...

 

I'm not saying to remove the randomness of  the mod which tries to emulate real life encounters, (ironically people are getting laid quicker in real life...if the incidents of female schoolteachers banging their students are an indication) I'm saying if the author would increase the RNG chances of the NPCs getting on than making it feel like a lottery...

 

but yeah it works...although sparingly...It did give me laughs seeing dialogue between Sven and his mother, people and animals and some elder guys going for children since I ticked on all the mod's options...

Originally this mod included NPC - PC interaction (actually auto-reply like a NPC,  determined by PC's arousal/ traits), 

this feature is disabled in the latest build (1.4.2/ 1.4+) due to some bugs and limited to NPC - NPC interaction.

So, your PC cannot/ couldn't unfortunately respond to NPC's proposal by yourself (=player's will),

and now just without any reaction.

 

I suppose that the best way is to set your PC as 'excluded'.....

Whenever a npc comes near me for asking sex,i dont know how to answer back.there isnt any option that appears.am i supposed to press a key whenever they ask?

 

I think I got this to work by setting the player as 'victim' but basically you get raped and it's hit and miss.

thanks but i have got an another question.is someone being raped who is ticked with victim?i mean i ticked a male as rapist.

can he rape someones whoever he wants or just only

who are ticked by victim.

The object of rapist A1's coerce 'flirting' is NOT limited to 'victim'.

The trait 'victim' means that those who has the trait cannot resist A1's attempt to force sexual act.

In short, NPCs usually have possibility of resisting the attempt as her/his responses, but the 'victims' cannot.

 

Personally I don't recommend to distribute 'rapist'/ 'victim' traits too widely, however,

since I have an impression that these two traits rather hinder the consensual flirting from the person who has these traits as A1.

i know my questions dont finish but a situation happened just now.a npc proposed my follower sex.my follower didnt want but he said i dont care what you are saying.the initiator is ticked rapist but my follower isnt ticked with victim.but no fighting occured .it went to animation proptly.why not fighting or tossling.what i miss

  • Even without 'victim' trait A2 actor can be raped (40%? default/ 'dominant' A2 would be less likely to be raped, but still she/he can).
  • there would be no real fighting as a result of  this mod. Verbal response only.
  • So, what you saw is a commonplace banter between rapist A1 and to be raped (not necessarily victim) A2.
