I tried to warn you guys. But people get so ... touchy on the topic they get defensive. I was trying to protect the artists b/c many of you are making inappropriate comments that can get them in trouble.

Donations are perfectly legal. What she was doing was perfectly legal. As long as there's no contractual obligation. So even if she wants to "gift" donors with early releases, that's legal too.

But when you guys start insinuating "pay $5 to get early releases" you are insinuating a contractual element to the donation, making it not a donation but a price and making patreon donors into customers.

I don't know why she closed her patreon page. Maybe EA contacted her. Maybe she just got uncomfortable with the whole idea. Or maybe it isn't even related. But people need to be careful with what they say b/c the internet is an open forum. And ergo, the forum moderators should pay attention to what the people are posting and eliminate posts that could cause potential misunderstanding and get artists in trouble.

The normal patreon side of L666 is down (404). But the one with posts 31. october is still on.

 

Do ´nt know what happend to dear L666 - hopefully this wonderful creator is RL in good and healthy condition.

 

I wish L666 just the best. I m not a hunter after new animations, just registrated  "Aaah, wonderful!  L666 is working on a new one".

Well we still have Mike24 and TheMaster and a few others, but I certainly hope we haven't lost L666.  Her anims are professional-quality, and with Amra72 doing Sims4 animations, losing her would really be a big blow to this community.

 

What we really could use is some fresh blood... anyone know any good 3d animators who use blender and are into sims porn?

She is a wonderful animator and I myself along with this community believe she is pretty fricken bad ass, but I would understand if she wanted to just abandon it because she worked really hard and to have what shes done removed just because of pictures would really piss me off too. But besides that I'm great full  that she did this because when I first started out playing ts3 which has not been long because before I used console I thought raw passionate emotions were missing from ts3, but these animations made it seem more real to me and less well robotic at times when I wanted to create a story that involved lots of romance. So thank you L666 from the bottom of my heart. :D  :heart:  :heart: - Lovely

When you say "start over" do you mean she lost all her animations for good, or she'll just have to remake her patreon page?

Not really, Mike stopped doing animation on TS3 (he left that message on Patreon), and... well I didn't know TheMaster was still doing them!

The second one. Don't worry, we (the ex Patrons) still have everything she has, since she uploaded her animations at the start of november.

I really hope Lady is able to get the patreon issue fixed because it finally looks like my money situation has finally improved enough that I can give back to her what shes long deserved for all shes done for us.

 

Her animations are my favorite, amras are also incredibly high quality but a little too aggressive/porn starish for my personal tastes, hers are the perfect balance of intimate and kinky.

Hi Lady, I was told in thread you are considering abandoning your patreon page after it was deactivated for unclear reasons.

 

That is heartbreaking because I have after a year just now reached a point where my money situation has improved and I can also give back at the max.

 

Either way, whatever issues you have run into, remember you are not alone - there is a large community of simmers who are concerned about you and we would like to immediately offer all our love and support.

 

I hope you and your family (I remember you said you have been taking care of a parent) are in good health and otherwise good fortune. Please reach back out to us and let us know if you are well and what you are considering.

If this is an issue with Patreon or EA, I cannot stress enough that she is not alone - I have seen Patreon reinstate pages they had no business removing after the many supporters publicly voiced their protests. The accouint is only deactivated, there is no way in hell they completely removed all her data from the servers so hastily, no matter how offensive or illegal they thought it was. How would they be able to comply with subpoena requests and the like? Anyway, I hope she quickly lets us know if this is the case, I can have an angry email ready to in 15 mins notice.  :D We already lost amra to the tired joke known as Sims 4, please voice your support for her folks, shes the last one we've got.

Dear L666, I have been made aware that your patreon page for The Sims 3 has been deactivated for some reason and that you are considering abandoning it all together. As a long time loyal patron of yours I beg you to reconsider. :blush: Your animations are among the best there are out there for the game and the reason many of us still play today.

I look forward to the beginning of each mother JUST for your new pack. Please, please, please reconsider.  :(

I just wanted to add a few things here, other than what I already sent via private message.

We are here to help you in any way possible: you did your best for us, and I can't even begin to thank you enough to have done FOUR version of my request.

You are very dedicated to your work, and as a fellow artist I can only emphatize lol. 

Anyway, if there's something we can do, we will. (for example: do a complete list of Patrons and/or animations, so that nothing will be missed)
