ShiroiKaze69 Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 The arcade hardware runs Windows 7.... thus the lock on Direct X 9.
windpl Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 The arcade hardware runs Windows 7.... thus the lock on Direct X 9. Ehhh? And windows 7 can run dx11, so what you saying?

Password42 Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 It's seeming more and more like DoA no longer stands for Dead or Alive, but Dead on Arrival...
Killing Joke Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 I suppose it's possible the engine is just disabled. This sort of thing has happened before. It could maybe be turned back on through modding. This is my hope. To strip the engine seems like an unlikely scenario, especially considering there are other PS4 features. This would make everything okay, but I have to wonder what's up with those new stages. You think they're actually in the game, and just disabled, like how WWE 2K15 did? This all sounds like wishful thinking to me, but still, it might not be as bad as it sounds. However, it might be worse... Nope, unfortunately the PC version is based off the arcade version running on the Sega Ring Edge 2 hardware- https://twitter.com/TeamNINJAStudio/status/579184892941991936 Arcade version doesn't have the particle effects, soft engine, etc... EDIT- also there's zero interest on Xentax from anyone to mod this POS or port their console mods to it. Yep that's what I said several pages before but my post has been blatantly ignored.
AwfulArchdemon Posted March 25, 2015 Author Posted March 25, 2015 I've been wondering something. If the game's an arcade port, why the delayed release? The game was done before the console versions were. PC should have gotten it before PS4.

Last Round adds in some new characters, etc. Arcade did get a patch that added some of that stuff in after the console release of Last Round.
AwfulArchdemon Posted March 25, 2015 Author Posted March 25, 2015 They seem more interested in the Arcade version. Are they a team of 12 year-olds? No clue how to do business. The arcade version is more likely to get an update than PC. T-4 days, 19 hours till release. Modders: On your marks.......get set.......
AwfulArchdemon Posted March 25, 2015 Author Posted March 25, 2015 Single-player Partial Controller Support Wtf is "Partial Controller Support"? edit: Oooooo! Look! DLCs! And for the modest price of... $
SquallPT Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 In most games, Partial Controller means that you can use the controller for gameplay but on the menus you will need the mouse + keyboard.

I sure hope that's all it means. Still looking at that DLC price. I just...stare at it, like "...............?". It's just...amazing. I see that, and I lose track of everything I was doing. Am I putting a down-payment on a car? Do I...get a car with my DLC? If not, I think maybe there was typo.

Supa Hot Fire Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 ...On the bright side, if Tekken 7 releases on PC you could have an objectively better game to play around with. Then there's the fact that Tekken has character customization.

AwfulArchdemon Posted March 27, 2015 Author Posted March 27, 2015 So, anyone still getting it for PC? Or did everyone cancel their order?

AwfulArchdemon Posted March 27, 2015 Author Posted March 27, 2015 Well, I doubt anyone will buy 1 outfit for 1 person for $2.99, so the packs are what will sell, and even though it's cheaper than buying each individually, it's still a large chunk o' change for clothes. If they were destructible (on PS4 clothes get ripped really badly), it wouldn't be so bad, but since PC is lacking all improvements since DOA5, the price is too high. Less features should mean less cost. Anyway, did you see all that? That's over $300... I'll need a loan from the bank to get the whole game.
xXDeliteXx Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 To be honest , i don't care of online play but to play this game just on pc and see all these TITS moving with super AA setting , wow the tits movement is so realistic , maybe the best currently in circulation ! Do they bounce better than DOAX2? In that game, they were like little waterbeds. Swaying around with endless momentum all the time. Was pretty cheesy... Also: Lisa.gif Shouldn't be too hard to make a nude suit out of that. We need to get rid of those pesky hearts! There is 4 different settings, Off, Natural, DOA and OMG. x) no kidding
AwfulArchdemon Posted March 27, 2015 Author Posted March 27, 2015 There is 4 different settings, Off, Natural, DOA and OMG. x) no kidding That's 3 settings PC won't have. We just get Off.

But after game is fucking released, and after I played. Sure game has low price tag (a year back it was normal price for games) but combined price of dlc is beyond 100$ and it is not content that they additionally worked after game release it is just cut out content so it is just simple ripoff.
Guest Lehshara Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 PC port: - Textures in 720p, don't hope it will look good in 1080p or in 4K (Even tho they added support for 4k so you can look at those nice 512x256 textures) oh and forget about 16:10 support, cause it ain't happening. - Senran kagura costumes can be destroyed only on PS4/Xbox One (On PC you can't WHY?! WHY?!) - 2 stages were removed from PC version - No online mode (They said they will add it in patch within 3 months after release) - Like 50% less particles... Well in any case... less particles - Same price as PS4 version - Season Pass only $92.99 - Ultimate costumes pack $92.99 And the most important thing and most saddest one: - The PC version will not implement Team Ninja’s lauded Soft Engine (Which basically means forget about soft boobs mechanics) Here are prices for everything (Devs yo greedy bastards): Dead or Alive 5: Last Round $39.99Dead or Alive 5: Ultimate costume set $92.99Dead or Alive 5: Season pass $92.99Dead or Alive 5: Honoka debut costume set $7.49Now if you gonna buy all that stuff, you gotta pay: $233.46 which is complete bullshit for content it provides... Overally not worth money, so go ahead and pirate it like me YARR! As for the modding, I wouldn't expect anything else than: Nude Patches / Recolors / Maybe some ENB / Camera mod.
