What mod/feature do you desperately want added to SexLab?

Recommended Posts

Menu bind to hotkey that let's you choose type of sex, like bj/anal/vag etc... Would be easier to navigate to what you want.

Separate creature sounds, because getting split in 2 by Giant and fked by puny human shouldn't sound the same  :sleepy:

Fade in/out before/after the act option.

Maybe even a custom background music during the deed, even tho it's not that necessary.

And a netorare mod is a must do!  :P

I'd kind of like to see the features from immersive beds rolled into Sexlab.

I'd love to stop at an inn for the night, take my follower up to the room with me, both bang each others brains out, and then click the bed and have it load up an animation of them both laying in bed together.

Seems like most of the code is already there, we'd just need some excellent "animations" as they'd really just be poses looped till you exit bed.

Perhaps it could even be adapted into a third sex stage option "repose".

Current mods just annoy me in that my character hops in bed all alone and she just stands there.

I would like to see a giant patch (or at least a STEP like project) that includes a lot of adult quests and NPCs, so it would be a surprise when you first discover the quest line.

Poorly, this hardly will ever happen, just because of the different tastes of the people.

STEP project wants to increase the visual and gameplay quality without changing it. So basically better textures but no new colors.

How do you want to realize that with SexLab. Well, anybody will install SL Framework, but then?

- CBBE or UNP, SAM or SOS, MNC or Creature Features + Better Creatures for the bodies?

- Consenual or brutal way, so SL MatchMake or Defeat, Spouces Enhanced or Devious Interactions, SexLab Romance or Sanguines Debauchery?

- Which Armor replacer, custom armors, followers?

- Should there be a custom recommendation for Non SL mods or just a build on top of REGS?

less "porn like" voices, all the voices used are loud/over reactive and as far as I know theres no custom modding of voices or at least not good well known ones (but I haven't looked that hard cause I don't know if its even a thing)

Creatures: just for sake of immersion

- more animations (with deer, skeever, mudcrab, ...)

- creature genders (yes, Immersive Bodies with the current SNLC compatibility) and female creature animations so your male (n)pc can finally "bang" a female creature instead of getting "banged" by gay male creatures.

- creature on creature (some examples: male wolf on female wolf, male bear on female bear or male bear on female wolf [is interspecies the correct word I'm not an expert in sexual tags]

(N)PC

- alternate actors can finally store the changes made to an actor not only the face

- better compatibilty (unp, cbbe or sos) and stability (i have a CTD once in a while) with fennec, lungaris, vaalsark, ...

edit: forgot some text, sorry for my bad english!

this guy hit the nail on the head, with a sledgehammer. I do know ashal is working on creature gender tags so we just need textures and animations.

Not really a feature, but if possible I'd like to see continued improvements in the speed of sex starting. It can get kinda rough on low/mid-tier PC's in taking awhile to get going.

I don't know if it's even possible though. :P

A Groping Mod. Like not the kind of groping during Sex. I mean random groping on the street or at the inn.

Drunks and highly aroused NPC's being the more common offenders.

I'm on it actually .

Well the animations at least.....

A rework for SL Attraction and SL Approach.

Attraction and Approach are the two most interesting secondary framework mods in my opinion, and are criminally underused.

For My opinion I would like in SexLab

- More & Dynamic Effect Sound

less "porn like" voices, all the voices used are loud/over reactive and as far as I know theres no custom modding of voices or at least not good well known ones (but I haven't looked that hard cause I don't know if its even a thing)

Sound effects and voices are 100% limited by the simple fact that I haven't found anything else worthwhile. If somebody can point me towards or even perform clear audio recordings themselves for seamless loop-able audio, I'll happily include it in a heartbeat, just contact me via PM with details and it's likely to jump near the top of my list of priorities for SexLab 1.60.

- More Good Body Collision during acte

SexLab has absolutely zero to do with body collisions for the foreseeable future. Barring any suddenly amazing mod advancements that provide a Papyrus API for managing applicable collisions, it is highly unlikely to ever be a concern of SexLab Framework specifically anytime soon. It's just too niche, requiring too much setup for the average user, and more importantly there is just little to nothing SexLab itself could currently "provide" in regards to collisions, that stuff is mostly all reliant on skeletons, which SexLab has no control or interaction with.

Not really a feature, but if possible I'd like to see continued improvements in the speed of sex starting. It can get kinda rough on low/mid-tier PC's in taking awhile to get going.

Whenever I'm bored or at a loss for what else to work on in SexLab updates, sex startup time is the first thing I look at trying to improve. It's gotten both better and worse with updates, due to directly related new optimizations, or made slower by unavoidable necessity from new features.

I'd consider startup time greatly improved from what it once was, however it is admittedly possibly slower than SexLab 1.30 or some other older version (I've never compared old versions, only ever looked at improvements during development updates), but the amount of stuff it does during startup has also increased tenfold since that time. So I'd argue the startup time currently is pretty good considering.

In anycase, point being startup time is absolutely my goto optimization whenever working on updates. It can be an up and down battle though as new features get added.

A flag added to sex start functions that determines which actor gets teleported where... i.e. "MoveTo(pcPosition)" or "MoveTo(akSpeakerPosition)" or something like that. I believe currently actors always move to PC position, yes?

This option has been available to modders since essentially the very first release of SexLab.

With the SexLab.StartSex() function, the ObjectReference CenterOn argument, or when using SexLab.NewThread() the Thread.CenterOnObject() function. These dictate where the actors get teleported to at the start of a scene, defining the starting "center" point.

If left unset, or "none", which most mods using SexLab do, a SexLab scene will default to centering at, in order or priority:

  1. A nearby SexLab location marker (a criminally underused feature for story mods using SexLab)
  2. A nearby, unused, bed if one was found and the options/player choice dictated its use
  3. The "victim" in an aggressive animation.
  4. The player, if present.
  5. The "first" actor present in the animation ( aka Thread.Positions[0] ).

Perhaps the best path would be to list all sexlab mods then take a poll on what is most popular then integrate them into a single mod that's much easier to handle :P . I have no idea if its even possible with so many authors but seems like that would be the most efficient way. just a thought might even include the hdt elements just so compatibility isn't an issue :P maybe a mod framework like sexlab that has the ability to hook all the mods together to reduce conflicts and overwrites ? no idea how that would work or be implemented.  as always just a humble opinion.

Derp. :)

Sheesh, I gotta start reading the documentation better, I guess.

Thinking about it as I am starting a new game is that it would be nice to extend either Sexlab or the Sexlab Stats Manipulator mod (probably better than building it into Sexlab) to accept a "presets" file to pre-assign sexual preferences and the various experience levels for NPCs in the game that you want to be specific about.

I've seen several mods going that direction. I agree, it would be a good idea.
