Kendo 2's HDT High Heeled Boots for UNP

Recommended Posts

View File

HDT vanilla-based boots meant for UNP and bare legs. Matching world models are included.

The boots are craftable under whatever category is obvious and can be improved at the armorer's bench. Each pair of boots has their own height/foot position so you'll need to adjust each pair in the HDT High Heel System MCM. A good median starting range is 4.5 on the first configuration slot.

Note: Because of how the HDT High Heel System works, the boots cannot be enchanted (they already have a 'spell' on them) or improved without the Arcane Smithing Perk. That is a legacy of the framework so just deal with it.

If you're looking for more boots, Cross Crusade has a few decent ones and Tiwa has some really nice models in her Minidresses mod. They are not HDT.

Disclaimer: There was some blubbering in another upload thread about what skeleton I use (XP32) so I addressed that with this mod and used the vanilla skeleton. If that doesn't make it easy enough for the Outfit Studio and Body Slide crowd then tough shit. I mod for myself and there will be no more concessions. Use what I use or don't download.

Credits: I made the models from vanilla assets so I get all of the credit.

Permissions: Not a resource at this time. No conversions for CBBE/OutfitStudio/BodySlide allowed. Nothing I make may be hosted at Nexus.

I wuv these! <3

Are you planning to do more based on the rest of vanilla things? I've been kinda waiting for someone to make HDTHH models of all vanilla boots and shoes because I always wanted to make a mod that lets player "recraft" regular footwear into heeled versions and back.

A lot depends on what is available in existing models since I want to keep the motif as 'lore' friendly as possible without having to make new models and all that process entails.  Most of the vanilla foot wear is basically moccasins and there's not too much I can do without them starting to all look the same.

These are really cute :o

Thanks for sharing. Not sure why people are crying about skeletons? I kinda thought most people on this site would be using groovs variation for the hdt support. Its working well with heels and dual sheath with the sliders from racemenu anyway.

Thanks.  I think they're cute too. :P

The deal with the skeleton; a few people pointed out that the rig I used for the UNP Jiggle body I uploaded here was somehow flawed.  Come to find out there is nothing wrong with the skeleton itself.  They were just flexing their little bit of knowledge and trying to point out that my rig wouldn't work with Outfit Studio (like I care).  The implication was the mod was broken, which it isn't.  Kinda pissed me off when they did that to me in the open forum upload thread, like they were trying sabotaging me for no goddamn reason.  Hmph.   :dodgy:  Nuff said.

Oh, they look quite nice. I may have to try these :D

Nice work Kendo.

just wondering, will these be compatible with amidianreborn textures or any other retextures?

And Thank You too. :)

The boots use vanilla texture paths so whatever you have installed will apply to these meshes too.

I just finished the elven boots and they have their own texture since there was noticeable color mismatch on the vanilla boot texture and my moving things around on the mesh revealed it.  Can't see it on vanilla boots, but it shows on my smexy version so that model gets its own texture (a hi-rez one though).

Do you have a link for the amidianreborn thing you mentioned?

i wish the cuffs on the steel boots were as bulky as the original, or as bulky as your iron boots. they look weird to me being ankle tight.

I was going to add socks or short leggings to that pair originally but decided against it.  When I do the next update I'll be adding an additional version of the steel boots that have cuffs or something on the top to balance them out.

Looks great, man. These will work great with CrossCrusade's skimpy vanilla armor replacer actually. None of those have actual heels.

Thanks.  CrossCrusade's is what I use for some outfits and I never liked the heels on the boots that came with the mod.  I also did a test with the new meshes and the textures from aMidianReborn.  They work as intended.

I've used a lot of your FO mods and was wondering when you'd finally get around to Skyrim. :D

I was actually waiting for other modders to pick up the slack.  I was a one man modding show for Type3 and that got old.  That and I hate the half-assed way things work with Blender and Skyrim.

These are cool. Thanks mate. Would love to see them as a replacer so that npc's wear them. Or are they already? I'm out in the middle of nowhere at the moment schackled to the floor lol

Wonderful!  I was Hoping for a high heel mode for all the armors! (If that is your plan) I have seen this taken on before but not to this scope and skill. I love the fact that most of you heels are using the original texture path so that texture mods will effect them. ^_^

I dunno if you are aware of this but a modder going by the name of Trumpdog took on this same task 8-9 months ago and managed to make Dragon bone and Deadric heels before running out of steam. They were really good and also used the same texture paths like you. Maybe you could get a hold of him and combine your works and it'll save you some time as it seems like you you haven't gotten to those heels yet.

Here is a link to his mod:

As for opinions I have to agree darkconsole and having the steel boots be higher than ankle boots. Also if it's not too late I would like to request that the Dwarven boots be wedge style heels. I think that would look nice conceptually. ^_^

Awesome, thanks for the link to Trumpdog's page.  To be honest, I wasn't going to do the dragonbone or dragonscale boots but since he's done them I can use his models as a template and do my own vertice layouts.

As for the steel boots, I already adapted CrossCrusade's tall boot leggings to work with the new models and the repositioned bones in the skeleton.  They'll be in the next update along with the new elven boots.

I'm working on Dwarven boots now.  I'm building them from scratch out of cuirass pieces since the vanilla model was just NOT what I wanted as a starting point.  I have the uppers done (think Roman gladiator sandal made by Dwemer) and I'm mulling over options for the heel and sole.  Wedges are definitely easier to do, but they might not fit with what I already have made.  What I have in the pipe right now looks like stripper/porn chic elevators.  We'll see how it all goes. ;)

Thanks for the download and the comment. :)

I'm unfortunately in a bit of a bind; I have a custom armor mod that I want to include a variant of one of your boots as alternate footwear with, but it uses assets from other mod authors that only allows hosting the mod on Nexus. And you won't allow any part of your mod to be on the Nexus, so I guess it's just going to be a private thing for me. @_@ Thank you for this great work though.

Maybe the Nexus modder will relent and let you upload it here.  He probably has that proviso to keep people from stealing the assets and uploading them to Steam as their own content.

My prohibition against Nexus isn't so noble; anything I can do to deny Dark0ne/Nexus site traffic means less money in his pocket from pop-up views.  Since Nexus is his only source of income or personal validation, when Nexus suffers he suffers.  He and his bullshit staff wanted my content gone so it is REAL GONE.  So much so that I'm not re-upping my old FO mods, since Nexus users could get the files and then make the dead dependency mods still at Nexus work again.

If all else fails just share the mod you made in PMs.  The Nexus modder might relent though, I won't. :)

If the armor you're talking about is vanilla based, PM me with a few screenshots; front, back left and right side from different angles.  If it is vanilla-based I can remake it or something close to it , that is if I like it enough to use it in my own game.
