SexLab Solutions 5.0.7 (01-December-2017)

Hey, Wraith, are you working on any updates for this or any other mods you took over, or just doing bug fixes for any future releases?

Short answer: Like the red text at the top says, no new updates are planned, and anyone that wants to pick up the mod is welcome to do so. I still lurk in the support thread to help people out with problems or answer questions, but that's it.

Not so short answer: I still play Skyrim, and have SexLab Solutions in my load order, but when I got started on Dawnguard and Dragonborn content for it, it quickly became clear that developing separate ESPs for each DLC was way more trouble than I had patience for, compared to just adding DG/DB as masters into Solutions itself. If you've been following this mod for a while, you'll know I briefly added the unofficial patch as a dependency to save me headaches each update, and even that, which is a free mod that everyone should have if they like not having bugs, was met with a mixed reaction. So, rather than continue updating, and essentially giving the middle finger to everyone that didn't buy the DLC, I decided it was only fair to step down, letting someone else take over and do it the right way. I still work on the mod privately, at my own ridiculously slow pace, but unless there's overwhelming support for DLCs as hard requirements, I don't think I'll go back to releasing updates, as catering to everyone's whims just isn't for me.

You could leave the solutions version that is up now up for those that don't want all the dependencies and then have a separate version with USLEEP and the DLC requirements and continued support. Maybe give it a slightly different name to avoid minimize confusion. Like "Solutions Plus" or something. I'm not good at names. But I for one have the legendary version and USLEEP so I don't have any issue with those being dependencies, but I can understand those that don't not wanting them. So leave them the old version to keep them happy and feel free to post your new stuff for the rest of us. :-D When you get around to making any, that is.

Why DLC ? there are so many chances in basic game still. Plus create new sex quests. So please wraith, you do so good work.

My guess is that he has the DLC installed as has been including fixes as he finds them to his personal copy of the mod. Taking them out or creating a new mod with just vanilla patches is a lot of work and really not worth doing.

I'd like a patch and since I have all the DLC I'm fine with whatever he can provide. My dialog / script editing has failed when I tried it, I guess I don't have the creation kit setup correctly with MO to access the sources.

I haven't added USLEEP yet, though I do have the original unoffcial patches.

@WraithSlayer,

I would second this.  Just leave up the current version for those without DLC and post the changes that your making for your personal game at whatever rate that is.  You can still leave things open for someone else to develop this if they what to.  I mean since your doing the work anyway why not share it?  I'm sure that those of us that can use it will definitely appreciate it, and for those that don't have the DLC...well it's not really DLC anymore, it comes packaged with the game at the store and has been for almost 3 years now.

I'm sure you can still buy it separately but still, if they haven't added it by now they're deliberately limiting their Skyrim experience and that's their choice but for them to expect the modding community to cater to that choice at this point in Skyrim's lifespan seems a bit...shall we say self oriented.  It's different if you want do split development, but if that's not your thing, then they really shouldn't be saying anything, you have already given them a good amount of effort and content.

If they refuse to understand that your game includes the DLC and you are doing this first and foremost for the enjoyment of your own game, then that's their problem not yours.  In truth, they should be thankful that you limited your development to satisfy them for as long as you did and that you were willing to share that work with the rest of us.  Please, reconsider sharing the work your doing with us, and thanks for what you have already shared with us, I for one, enjoy it very much.

This is exactly it. I mod stuff in as I play, and since I've been going through the DLCs again, a few of the latest additions to Solutions reflect that.

Regarding updates: alright. I'll leave 4.0.2 up for those who can't or won't meet the new requirements (USLEEP + all DLCs) and get started on pushing updates soonish.  But it won't be as documented as previously, I haven't exactly been keeping track of what I've added or fixed. :P

Oooohhh... mystery solutions... I can deal with that.    post-61020-0-55839800-1463292820.gif

I have all DLC installed and all USKP. Do I have to swap to USLEEP or can I go on with USKP?

By the way... Great mod!

You'll need to swap to USLEEP. USKP is deprecated and not compatible with Solutions 5.0.0.

If you have any mods currently installed that require any of the USKP patches, those will break when you swap to USLEEP, so if you want to keep them, you'll need to convert them to use USLEEP instead. This is done by using this TES5Edit plugin on all the mods that need it; read its description carefully for usage instructions. Once you've migrated to USLEEP, you can then update Solutions to v5.

If you need help with Papyrus logs, it'd be better to ask in the Skyrim Technical Support section rather than here, unless your problem is specific to SexLab Solutions.

So, it crashes when you load a save from main menu, but the save works fine if you start a new game before loading it? That's a common problem a lot of people have, myself included, and has to do with Skyrim's memory management limitations if I recall. Fastest way to work around it is open the console from the main menu, type coc ctest , then load your save.

Those mods should be updated by now to require USLEEP instead, and if not there's a very very easy TES5Edit script on the USLEEP page where you load your mods you need to change master on and USLEEP + USKP, run the script and it will just switch masters on the file from USKP to USLEEP with no input from you other than just selecting run script on the mod.

The main issue is if you are using outdated Skyprocs that can't handle the massive amount of records in USLEEP vs USKP, that might be trickier but by now most of them should be updated.
