Male content call out!

Recommended Posts

Like this mod f.ex. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/75606/? Iwant to have sex with him but underwear is in the way q_q, removing it in nifscope doesnt help much since I have no idea how to make him have a penis... hapl!

Simple solution: make your own followers. It isn't difficult. :)

I've done countless NPC's through Familiar Faces, it would be nice to enjoy other ppls content tho :)

Huh.. ok. That's why I use SAM: built-in diversity. :)

I'm probably the only person in the world who thinks the opposite :-)

The problem with SAM for me is that the bodies have a well defined patterns of body hair. Sure, there are several variations, but

1. They follow the same pattern, just the volume is different

2. There are several variations shared by thousands of NPC

Sure you can have different morphs, but the "package" will stay the same. So you have a bunch of men that happen to have exactly the same pattern of body hair.

On the other hand the "stock" SOS hairy texture has a fuzzy "fur" that is not formed in some particular pattern, except slightly on the chest.

For me using the SAM body with the SOS hairy texture would be the best option. Too bad I have no idea how to do uv mapping. And I suspect if someone publishes such a modification VP will hunt them down with a battle axe

Speaking of VP and Skyrim SE, on his website he says he plans to come back to working on SAM and modding Skyrim after SE is released. I guess we can expect further developments on SAM.

Added:

And..... speaking of diveersity...

Smurf, VP1, VP2, Leito, ERF, Khajit, Orc, Hoodie - I have 8 different schlong types, 2 of them race specific - the orc and the cat.

And, in a ways I'm incompetent to understand, Isle of Mara manages to use the HDT that Tweens published in order to achieve something like this:

[NSFW pic]

post-925979-0-59947300-1475700731_thumb.jpg

Regardless of what the intent of the mod in this case is, the result is a HDT belly.

Well, to each his/her own, of course. :)

One drawback to adding any kind of complexity (more body types, in this case) is increased memory consumption and load on the game. If you know what you're doing, then you can find a good balance. Many however, don't, then are all surprised when the game becomes unstable.

I've found a good balance that works for me. SAM has enough variety for my tastes. :)

as for SE, again, I suspect that it will be quite some time before anyone can make mods for it, not till SKSE and SkyUI are ported.

Any advice would help. I am hoping to learn better through analyzing other quest mods. Most of my learning is retrospective by pulling things apart and putting them back together. I may just hit a snag or something may not function right as I may not see the error up front with my own experienced eyes.

I would suggest waiting a month. If the CK for Skyrim SE is like  FO4CK - stable, not crashing, not freezing, not spamming errors, not taking ages to react... Then the biggest reason for the frustration surrounding the attempts to learn to make scripted mods will be gone.

All my life I have been using the same technic to lear new programming languages, frameworks and so on - "by pulling things apart and putting them back together". The only case I have ever failed in this is to learn the papyrus modding. And the big "cockblock" is CK. Reading the scripts and following the function and event calls is fine, but at some point it all comes together tied by some dark CK magic done in a way that is very specific to the platform and quite confusing if you try to reverse engineer it. I have failed twice in my attempts and now I'm waiting for the SE CK in order to try again.

Sound advice. I mean NSAP was just pulling things apart and budiling to be specific. I can set up your basic SexLabHook and @CPU taught me a nice script to change the armor before and after the scenes (which I will need to relearn). I think for me the thing at the moment I need to learn is XMarkers. Then should be easy but last time I tried them I got angry (till I released I was setting them but didn't have them visable and set like 100. Idle markers would be good to turn some HKX aniamtions into one of idles that just loop.

I'll figure it out somehow. I jsut need to sit down at the weekend and drive in head first.

Huh.. ok. That's why I use SAM: built-in diversity. :)

I like SAM, yet I don;t really use it and still use SOS. I think that's just me not spending enough time with it. I should change. I use to say I stayed because I can use the page up and down buttons to change the angle of the erection to line up with animations. But as I now play with a note pad to hand and make edits to the scripts to make everything line up correctly, I guess I don't need that fuction. I'd miss the shop though, heh.

The only thing I use that's SAM-related is Ixum's body textures cause they just look better with pubes (though some schlongs don't have pubes which can be a pain).

But as all said, it's each to their own. I may or may not use a hard-coded body, but only if I liked the follower and the textures were appropiate/acceptable. Apart from that I'm not overly fussed. The follower I made (and will rebuild) will just use whatever body texture I have installed.

XMarkers are actually not complex at all. broadly speaking, they're not used by scripts much. Mostly by packages (NPC starts at marker 1, walks to marker 2, blah blah). Course, scripts can move NPCs to specific markers.

XMarkers are also used as "parents" for a lot of things: set a bunch of stuff to have one marker as an enable parent, then to enable/disable those items, just toggle the enable state of the parent marker. That's how the BYOH stuff works: when you "build" part of a house, the crafting process just enables a marker - and poof, part of a house is "magically" constructed. ;)

They're handy general purpose things. I use them quite a lot. Rip open Manipulator and you'll find 100 of them. :D

P.S. Stick this in Skyrim.ini, in the [Display] section:

bShowMarkers=1

Then start the game and you'll see all the markers... fun! ;)

Signar

Nord Brothers

Lex

Draven and Oliver

Darrow Greylock

Sayid the Mercenary

Chris Redfield (see the last 2 pics)

Also the boys from the BBLS

And there are the different mods that change the way the vanilla NPCs look, including followers, like SkyHunks or Males of Skyrim

Also you can install other mods that feature sexy guys and make them followers with The Manipulator

Bonus for Signar is that you can make the mannequins in Skyrim look like him.

I'm not sure the NPCs have sexual preferences by themselves, after all it all depends on how you setup the sex mods you use.

Take a look at InterestingNPC's ( http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/8429/? ). It has several bi-sexual man and 2 gay men. All have interconnecting stories lines. Also. get http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/74959/? - reskins of most InterestingNPC's characters.

Since I already posted a link to a fantasy military school uniform, I may as well continue with the Disciplinary Committee's Uniforms from Final Fantasy 8, Military Uniforms and Severini who comes complete with his distinctive duds.

I wish there would be more modern outfits for guys aside from Blue Jeans Plus and Vie Male Collections. I really would like a male school uniform (preferably the japanese gakuran ) to match the Aether Suite (bara school boys are such a turn on for me).

Something like these

Codes for unzipping can be found here.

Cool outfits! Well, still isn't matching but at least these would do (I've been fantasizing about Zell and Seifer lately anyway)

I do wish those korean outfits have weight support for beefy menz.

So, that idiot drama queen called Vectorplexus had SAM removed from Ladymoiraine, all the armor mods are gone. Thoughts?

Drama queen is exactly what went through my head last night. I think it was extremely bad form. If you create a tutorial to show others how to mod for your mod then throw a hissy fit because someone actually followed your tutorial and made mods supporting your mod all the while ranting and raving about an eula that prohibits doing that.....yeah, drama queen.

I think he just killed his own mod.

All mods are derivative content not only from the base game but the most complex ones are built using knowledge from multiple sources. This includes SOS and SAM. There should probably be limits as to what mods can be pulled from mod hosting sites completely, possibly determined based upon how many other mods are dependent upon them.

Many mod makers discontinue their mods which do similar things to other popular mods to avoid creating more of a hassle for other mod makers who have to create multiple versions of their derivative mods to be compatible for the separate frameworks so it isn't as if there weren't any other alternatives out there. The mod maker to whom the others conceded should be considerate enough to not waste everyone else's time by pulling the framework out from under anyone else's projects.

While it is true that one could recreate the work using the same methods or cheat one's way around using alternate ones (SAM's body could be faked with a variant of the scripts used in Everybody's Different and RaceMenu), said 'Drama Queens' may then accuse other modders of ripping off their labor despite building it up again from scratch.

It's come to a point where I've started hoarding mods like porn.

I'm not sure how copyrighting mods works, either. Can you really copyright something that is using existing code and assets? Or is it just the stuff he created from scratch (which would make sense) that is covered?

I keep a copy of every mod I have ever tried. It started when after a reinstall, a mod essential for me, was gone from Nexus. Since then I have kept copies, just to be sure. Also, sometimes mods develop in ways that I personally think are superfluous (adding too much options), so keeping a backup of an older version makes sure for me that I can continue to use that mod in current and future playthoughs.

Also in a hope to prevent any further escalation of the "SAM drama" in this thread:

1. All SAM related mods have been restored on HoT and will be available there for the next few weeks.

2. After that they will probably be available on VP's own site.

3. The tutorials have been restored on HoT and will most probably stay there.

There was a confusion for a day caused by miscommunication but it is cleared now.

I just removed it as well, for similar reasons. Now I have misaligned textures on SOS feet. :-| Trying to figure that one out.

Welcome to my world. I think I fixed mine, but I'd need to load it up to see so I can maybe point you in a direction. But I'd rather have freaky feet for a bit than dramalamas. Never used SAM really so I escaped all that.

I got mine sorted shortly after posting. Turned out that the textures weren't SOS compatible. I think I got stuff messed up in my backup folders.

I like SAM for the body/body hair variation. I like SOS for the skimpy clothing and willy variation. ;) Both have minor problems, including script issues. I fixed some of the SAM script problems; I'll poke at SOS soonish.

But yeah, too much drama. Sad really.

I tired SAM and it was a little too intense for my setup, so I use SoS. I like it better, anyway. I like more rugged male textures and many of the SAM textures were just too smooth and young looking for my taste. I can understand why it would be popular, though. Being able to make the body shape to your own taste is pretty awesome.

I keep copies of everything I download too, but now I've started downloading mods that I might want to try someday just in case. Wyrmstooth was taken down and I'd planned to play it some time, but didn't download it. So HOARDING. ...I need a bigger hard drive. :s

Ha - I hear ya! :) I've started removing stuff I never used, due to having too much. I've also been converting some loose mods to BSA, where possible, and combining.

Btw... wasn't there a mod that allowed for body and body texture variation in game? Pretty sure I saw such a thing some time back, but I can't remember the name of it. And if such a beast does exist, does it work with SOS?

You can try Everybody's Different I've never used it, so I'm not sure SoS would work with it. What textures are you using for SoS that is giving you the ankle issues? I've only really had neck seam with SoS. I use Unofficial Skysight Skins for SoS for my guys and they look great.

I was using this. Aaaand I should learn to read forums.... LOL!

Heads up: this texture pack is no longer compatible with schlongs of skyrim. I looked at both and this mod's male textures, has feet texture where the newest SoS texture has the.. ahem yeah.

I might have to try out that Everybody's Different mod. It was on of the things I liked about SAM was the abulity to have different body hair, but loosing the SOS shop put me off and I liked the revealing armors (which I modded into individual armors instead of replacers). I used one of Ixum's body hair textures on a SOS skeleton and the only thing I have to do was move the nipples which was easy. But it doesn't work with some of Leito's schlongs so it looks like they have this big pubic bald patch. I've been meaning to try and merge the two textures.

Well, that's an easy thing to miss, so don't feel bad. I do crap like that all the time. You use a mod and read all the stuff you need to read when you install it, then just don't read it again for newer versions because you know how it works.

That is a really cool ability. I mostly don't care about the other male NPCs, though. My guy is what matters to me, so as long as NPCs look decent I'm not fussed.  I have the "one schlong only" issue with the SOS for Skysight Skins Patch. SkySight hasn't been officially patched for SOS by fadingsignal, so another member got permission to do an Unofficial patch until he gets around to it. The only problem is that they only patched one dick, which I totally understand, but I usually use uncut dicks and when I used it with the SkySight patch he had a big wad of jagged pubes that looked horrible. I had to just forgo the uncut one, and deal with the other. I wish I knew how to texture better sometimes. :s
