Content Consumer Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 The worst part about the moderators is that they don't tell you how to pronounce their names. Selfish bastards... See-Pee-You. I wondered where all those little cameras came from...
gregathit Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 The worst part about the moderators is that they don't tell you how to pronounce their names. Is it Greg-ath-it? Gre-gathit? Greg-athit? Gre-gat-hit? Tech support in Wyandotte? You can beg and plead, and they just sit there, aloof, heads right up their asses, refusing to answer. Selfish bastards... ROFL!!! Ok, Ok.....I suppose I can pull out just this once......... pronounced: Greg@hit Was an old email of mine.....
RitualClarity Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 Well, let me tell you how I see it. I've never had an ignore list this long before in any other forum I've frequent. I suppose if I stay here for, say 5 more years, it's pretty likely that I might come across a whole page of posts from ignored users and I don't even read most of the forum sections other than Skyrim and general topics. Now, I think I can say that LL does it's job pretty well as a modding platform, but for me there's definitely some unpleasantness associated with the people who post in it. Perhaps, things were better when I first joined and it got worse or perhaps I didn't notice it back then... A bit of both. Many of the individuals that made you like the site likely moved on. New people are added all the time with different personalities. This makes the site feel different from year to year because it is different from year to year because of the members that are active during that time. Being "good site" or "bad site" is majorly the results of the members and their individual actions on a daily basis. “The Only Thing That Is Constant Is Change" ― Heraclitus
Vintovka98 Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Haven't gotten rekt by anyone so far in 2 years or so, and all my pm's went pretty well. Questions sometimes get ignored though...sometimes. it's an alright community I guess, though maybe I haven't been involved enough to give you a more qualified answer.
FelixGoldenHeart Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 I know the posed question has probably been answered over the last two years but I'll toss my two cents in. This is the place to be. Sure, there are a few self-righteous types, a few asshairs. But that's going to happen in any community. Most of the people I talk to on here are helpful and good people. Perversion and vulgarity are what make this site the best. Oh and here, you can express an opinion and as long as you do it respectfully won't receive a swing from the ban-hammer. The mods here are even tempered, and level headed. They don't just go on wild banning sprees because it gets them off on the power trip. I know a lot of people hate it when you mention it, so I'm sure you can guess which place I'm referring to. The rule list is simple and well laid out. It's not 10 god damn pages of every miniscule infraction under the sun. I enjoy my time here, and even use a proxy at work so I can access the site. Kind of like I'm doing now lol. P.S. Happy holidays folks!
CanadianBlueBeer Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 I like it. If I've had too much to drink and shoot my mouth off, they just slap duct tape on me and let me sleep it off. Good moderators. Here, have a cookie.
winny257 Posted December 25, 2016 Posted December 25, 2016 I had heights, I had depths! But there is NO place where I prefer would be. Merry Christmas.
Darkpig Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 We are not anime but friendly we are. Now excuse me while I puke rainbows.
RapidWaterOver Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 Haven't gotten rekt by anyone so far in 2 years or so, and all my pm's went pretty well. Questions sometimes get ignored though...sometimes. it's an alright community I guess, though maybe I haven't been involved enough to give you a more qualified answer. 100% sure questions don't get answered because people either don't see it, or they don't know the answer. This isn't the kind of place that's going to act like a country club, and you're just some disheveled dirty clothes wearing peasant that walked in on the club.
Bazinga Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 Pretty good. But lately there are way too many people asking stupid one-liner questions everywhere. It's really annoying because it's spamming up the forum and the ones that at least try before asking questions get buried under all that shit. I start to feel the arrogant disdain that you can witness on IT Crowd towards some of the newer members.
Guest Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 ... Then just don't. If somebody is a noobie, he/she will be helped, also if asks the question that was asked already 1000000004 times. I am against acid and aggressive people, not against noobs. But when an old member fake to be a noob just to get a quick answer, then I will get angry.
panthercom Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 Online communities like this can be likened to a human body; mouths to speak, eyes and ears for learning, arms to hug you and feet to kick you, and there are even some pricks, cunts and assholes for the sake of completion, although thankfully not too many

That's why rules say: Dont be a jerk.
Janius Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 No doubt, I have never felt so comfortable in a community of modders, for me, this is the best community, more mature and open-minded.....
Kurrolock Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 You would assume a modding forum dedicated towards pornography would be more of a cesspool than the nexus. but that's not the case. surprisingly friendly and mature compared to the nexus. probably from the whole "small community" thing.
Guest Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 This is one of the better communities I've been in that's for sure. The users are friendly, the content is great, and the site is structured nicely. What more could you ask for =P
SexDwarf2250 Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 You would assume a modding forum dedicated towards pornography would be more of a cesspool than the nexus. but that's not the case. I think the relevant metaphor is that this is basically a mom and pop business filled with actual adults, while Nexus is more kin to a corporate slimehall filled with 14 year olds. You just have to overlook that the "mom and pop business" is actually a brothel. Also, Nexus certainly has its place. I guess it's the McModald's to LL's brothel.
Renstar Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 I think it's counter-productive to ask the community itself if they think they're friendly. I'm pretty sure if you asked a crew of pirates down along the coast of Somalia if they think their community is friendly they'd probably answer mostly positive.

I'm pretty sure if you asked a crew of pirates down along the coast of Somalia if they think their community is friendly they'd probably answer mostly positive. But I'm sure the pirates are friendly to each other. As with most things, there are problems with both emic and etic perspectives. For instance, it is equally counter-productive to ask the members of any other community if this is a friendly community. Common sense (the antagonist of science, yet still more valid than many give it credit for being) tells us that responses will generally be either "no" or no response at all, with a few "yes" thrown in by people who are members of both.

Agreed. Almost 90% of people on Reddit and Nexus view LL as the cesspool of the Internet (think 4Chan status). When in fact this is THE place for a mod author to learn and grow compared to the prepubescent self entitled youngsters that get triggered by the slightest cleavage at the Nexus. I had a user criticize me and get triggered for giving my FO4 character "rubber skin" when in fact it was the wet rain effect native to Fallout 4 LOL No offense to anyone here but one of reasons why I decided to not live in America. Too many SJWs and such ruining the experience for me especially at the liberal college I went to. Also part of the reason why I pledge to Ashal's patreon. You guys helped me a ton and decided to return the favor by supporting the site.
Kaz Aanh Posted April 15, 2017 Posted April 15, 2017 I actually feel more free here than on other modsites ie Nexus, Bethesda.net or SteamWorkshop.
