what is this constant bitchin about tags, is it an issue? Ive never had any issues with NSAP at all, what so ever :o

I do believe I've been bitch-slapped!

 

Ive had some intances of mods not caring about apropos. They started using animations ive wanted them to only after hardcoding changes in sexlab/nsap script. Mybrainhurts has the point, i find apropos to be a workaround.

 

As for taging i don't think i found to much things i didn't like.

so far i only changed:

-cunilingus - 1/2 to added "oral" and "lesbian" and removed "straight" (strangly no mods cared)

-3j threesome -  removed all tags and copied ones from old threesome anim ( now acivate thru romance dialog options)

-all leito toys and dildos - added "masturbation" and removed "toys" (now activate thru holding "N")

-all "rcowgirl" changed to "cowgirl" (now triggered by deafets rape)

 

These ofc all comes down to personal preferences.

That's the key thing here. NSAP is a resource mod. It is mainly for other mods to get the animations from. Where as you can compile your own tags (while not uploading them), you will need to do this for a majority of updates. In doing so, you run the risk of your choices effecting the working of other mods and unfortunately I will hold my hands up and so "tough".

 

(this isn't aimed at you btw Anubi, it's a general statement).

 

Where as I feel a bit let down as people challenge my decisions for a mod I create, I have no objection to personal amendments for personal use only. I cannot please each and every single one of you and I am sure you are all aware of this.

 

My idea for NSAP is that it should not be influenced by other mods and should instead lead the way to new mods. There are older mods that people cling to that no longer get updated but without someone pushing the boundry, we will end up with no real new content as people will not feel inspired to create something new if it's freely available for older un-used mods. This is my idea.

 

What I would like to ask from the community is to appreciate some of the decisions I make. I know they may not please you but trust in me a bit more. Certainly, feedback to me if something is fundamentally wrong (like Vaginal is tagged as Oral) but don't assume that I have tagged something wrong (such as masturbation removed from the sex toys). We got the Skyrim Sex Toys mod from someone making a really immersive way to use them; if they were made to be activated by Match Maker and the other dozen mods that can activate masturbation animations, there could be a lesser chance of this being made (my assumption but I feel it has been positive). And without additional tags, the Sex Toy mod could have played general masturbation as well.

 

Let NSAP lead the way and inspire instead of just plugging holes in older mods.

Oh dear ... ummm, rydin? :blush:  Nothing I wrote was aimed at you or your decisions. I admit, chajapa really pissed me off resurrecting a dead issue, taking his little victory lap, commanding people to use Apropos and whatnot. I should have cooled off and let it go and I really regret that I didn't.

Oh I know you are not having a go at me friend. It's more as a aim to ALL users, including those who don't speak but might be thinking it. It's kinda a way for me to get some frustrations out as well as acklowledge other people's concerns. ^^

Completely agree with you in a sense Rydin. But on the other hand issues with mods arise when people don't call the right animation tags.

 

For example Leitos furniture animations. If they are tagged furniture and vaginal like they are in NSAP , it is possible for some one to exclude the furniture tag so only normal vaginal animations are called.

 

So as you have said it is down to the mods to call the right animations using the tags. Will this cause some older mods to break as they don't use the tag exclusion feature? Yes.

However as you have pointed out this is a good thing as it will encourage mods to be updated or new mods using the new features to be made.

 

Leading the pack on changes is hard work Rydin, but it is a necessary thing you do.

could i get access to the source so i can see how the animations are tagged? i got people asking me to integrate with this, but i has no sauce.

 

[edit] at the very least, nsapanimationsscript.psc. or whichever of these describes the animation tags. i need to see how they are classified as i want SGO to support milking via anything tagged breastfeeding if that is such a tag.

They were removed accidently on the last update. I am currently working on the bext release. If you can wait a bit longer it will have all you need in 2.7.

Yes, I know Leito has updated. So before anyone asks, you can automatically assume I know cause I watch him and I will add them ASAP.

 

I knew Leito had more work to pump out so I have been waiting on him.

They are not tagged "breastfeeding". For your function I think you need to check for the animName when sexlab starts an animation.

 

if animName is "3J Straight Breastfeeding" || "3J Lesbian Breastfeeding"

then do your milking thing

The guy looks like he's trying to fit both boobs in his mouth at once the way he opens up wide, and at the same time getting pissed off as he can't fit them both :P I just want the mouth to be a bit more closed, the angry eyes I can live with :)

I always turn facial animations off in SL because the default settings are kinda awful. Setting up some normal looking ones with the mcm tools provided (that actually LOOKS good) would be impossible too since every npc looks different with said expressions and they'd always need some kind of tweaking anyway.

For some reason the combat shout facial animation is the "licking" expression in sexlab, that's why your PC looks like some angry mongolian warlord every time you go down on a lady. And as far as I know it cannot be turned down even with ticking off the expressions thingy which is pretty damn annoying.

 

What you can do tho:

console target the actor and "reset mfg" will get rid of the shouting expression, and if you have expressions turned off in mcm you can set them manually with console. This is quite time consuming so you might pass on it when you're just playing the game.

If you shoot screenshots however, manual mfg is the way to go. default SL expressions look fucking weird and unnatural, setting them up in mfg is just a waste of time since you'll end up tweaking it anyway so just go with a blank page and do it yourself. You'll get more natural looking expressions for the characters in question.

So all these new animations...awesome.  With the cap in S-Lab Frame, it wasn't too hard to take out a few animations in order to get everything working.  I've tried the SL Frame v1.60 update and had  some issues.  It's alpha, so I had no problem with it, just reverted back to 1.59c. 

 

I use Matchmaker and various other mods.  I've tried SL-SPS and it's a bit more detailed than Matchmaker, but still general in a way.  I haven't tried SL Sextool yet.  My question is: how exactly do you test each animation specifically?  It seems it's going to be a bit more important to choose your animations now with all the good stuff coming along.  The animations have good descriptions, but sometimes it doesn't give you an exact picture of what's going on.

 

I should probably know this by now, but honestly, I was happy enough with being surprised and using the SexLab control keys to switch things up if need be.  Didn't think it was necessary to know exactly what was what.  I'm pretty happy will the old and new stuff.

Think ya gotta press N on a toon/npc to activate ur sex partner, then go to animation editor in SL and u can play whichever animation you want.

understood.... but in reality, how many breastfeeding animations do you think there are likely to be going forward? :)

AND... if you simply tag the 2 existing ones with a breastfeeding tag, then which one are you pulling? There's a MF one and a FF one. (And for the FF one, the player, if female, could be in either position... giver OR receiver)

 

You don't actually have to PLAY the animation. You can just put in a function that listens for a sexlab animation to start and if it's one of the 2 breastfeeding animations, then do a "milk exchange" accordingly for as long as the animation is running. When the animation ends, the "ticker" for the milk exchange ends (or it ends earlier if the giver runs out of milk).

 

Kinda funny that I can write this stuff without having any real idea how to actually DO it though.... so feel free to tell me to shut the hell up. :)
