Quick question, is there any way to add NPC into the mod aside from using Auto Add and Add Nearby? I've tried adding Gomorrah's Receptionist with Add Nearby (and I assume North Vegas NPC includes everyone in the Strip) but the mod doesn't add her. If I get close to other NPC in Gomorrah the mod adds them though.

The receptionist is reserved for optional content.  North Vegas only includes North Vegas.  The only auto adds on the strip currently are via performances.  You can add NPCs individually with the settings dialog (Left Shift + Hotkey).

So the Gomorrah content is not available yet? Cause that's what I was trying to do, finished Bye Bye Love quest and attempted the content but can't seem to start it.

Try the new SOI-Options esp.  Tested.  Working.  You may need to pass the speech check or perk dialog for the option to show up.  Also note that you do not need to add any NPCs to gain any of the optional content.

Okay, now I got it. Thanks.

New one up.  Experimental fix for approaches throwing errors when the PC leaves the cell before the approach is complete.  Also a fix for proposition dialog incorrectly assigning the prostitute opinion to anonymous PCs.

Been loving the anonymity feature, this expands and opens up even more options in terms of playstyle/roleplay to do, thanks for reminding me of this. That funny feeling that one group during the day considers me a stuck up quiet "non-whore" type but across town at night I'm a cheap dirty whore making a living haha, very interesting to say the least. wink.png

Found an issue I think, it's got to do with this mod, Cortex Scrambler.

- Shoot an NPC with the Cortex Scrambler and get them to become a follower of you.

- Press SOI hotkey and try to add them to SOI. You'll get an ':Excluded!' message not letting you.

- Enter console, click on them and do the following commands.

   NX_SetEVFL "SoIntimacy:Reserved" 0
   NX_SetEVFL "SoIntimacy:Include" 1
   NX_SetEVFL "SoIntimacy:Excluded" 0

   NX_SetEVFL "SoIntimacy:Exclude" 0

- Now press SOI hotkey and add them to SOI and wait for them to Enter The Matrix, give them a unique name. All appears well, stats develop and they can interact to you.

- Save game, re-launch game and load that save.

- Whoopsie, that NPC is as if they never got added to SOI, trying to SOI hotkey them says ':!Excluded' as before. Re-adding them after doing the commands again gives them new stats.

Basically using the Cortex Scrambler I got myself a follower I like and I want to add the SOI layer to them in game but it's not working out, I don't know why, maybe you will T.

I'm trying to test it now.  My first attempt the NPC attacked me after inserting the probes option.  Did you try it with different NPCs?  Which ones?  Excluded means they've lost their nx settings.  This mod doesn't require nx as far as I can tell.  You might try turning on scan debug and see if that has any insight.

EDIT:  Don't know how this is supposed to work, but it aggros everyone in the same faction as the NPC I use it on.  Resulting in death before I can test anything.

EDITx2: Tested on Sgt. Kilborn.  Enslaved, shift + hotkey, introduced, NPC entered the system, saved, quit game, reloaded, still retains settings.  Fast traveled away, saved, quit game, reloaded, fast traveled back to slave, cortex dialog still active, settings retained and running.  No clue.  Which NPCs did you try it on?

EDITx3: Note that SOI will wipe any and all SOI settings on certain NPCs automatically (I'll give one guess which ones).  It's the only reason I can think of other than a mod manager wiping the co-saves.  Except for NPCs that have been respawned and are in fact a brand new NPC that is.

Try it on a regular NPC.  My guess would be that those NPCs are respawned from a leveled list, which means the NPC you come back to is a brand new one.

EDIT:  You might want to take note of their editor id.  Then when you reload the game see if it is the same.

EDITx2: Another thing I noticed is the non-NVSE version of the NPC mod.  Might try it as well.

EDITx3: Cracked open the NPC mod.  I'm going to go ahead and say it's because they're using placed object NPCs, which would make this mod incompatible with a solid ton of other mods (anything that uses getself will return the wrong ref for these NPCs I think, could be wrong).

Well that explains that.

I might create a brand new follower NPC in GECK and in game add them to SOI and see if it sticks, that's something I haven't tried.

Just want an NPC with SOI enabled on them whilst following me around, considered a best friend, brother, sister or guard depending on roleplay.

Speaking of relatives is there anything in SOI (now or maybe in future/if possible) that I can tell/set it that an SOI NPC is a cousin, brother or twin sister, father, mother etc for example. I know with couples there's "TakenLvl" 99" and "Set Default Couples".

Right now it's all just pretend and giving the NPC the same last name as me.

Could imagine this could open up things in terms of gameplay/roleplay.

Not just thinking in terms of Incest & Wincest and what could transpire around that.

Can picture a father being disgusted by rumors he heard, whore & junkie confessions lowers his trust, makes him angry.

He could approach 'boyfriends' or SOI NPCs he knows or suspects that are interested/fucked in me, threaten and create tension from it.

[Rumor: Dates Relatives], [Rumor: Caught Doing Incest], [Rumor: Had Sex With Brother] also for example.

What's your opinion about this? T.

Maybe.  I'll slap it around for a while.

During pre-coital discussions does [be on Top] mean "you (NPC) be on top" or "I  (PC) wanna be on top this time, come on, pretty please"  I get [Negative] response when I was kind of expecting positive cause I was trying to tell Trudy to be on top but I'm not certain if she really wants to be on the bottom or she really doesn't want to be.  I'm not any better at reading people in this mod than I was in real life when I was married :s

On a completely unrelated note:  do NPC's get over being rejected with time or are they permanently -100 lust and -100 desire.  Captain Parker wouldn't go for a walk with the Courier and then comes and [stares at Breasts] so she chastised him.  Wasn't trying to chase him away forever, just win a little respect and slow him down for a while.

The positioning always applies to the NPC.  So top means NPC = ActorA

Correct, none of the meter attributes are permanent.  It should wear off in time.  This can also be adjusted somewhat by the cycle speed in debug settings.  Rejection recovers slower than afterglow though.

New one up.  Mostly experimental visitation framework added.  This feature will change a lot moving forward.  It's a tiny step toward cohabitation.

- Partners/Spouses can knock on your door for a visit (I will ease into others like patrons/lovers later).

- You can now give them their own key (they won't knock, and will barge in on you).

- The key currently applies to both the motel and home. This will change later and is only applied to the motel temporarily for initial testing (only the PC will have the motel key eventually).

- Be careful who you trust with keys (eventually this will matter a lot more than it does currently).

- While at home or the motel, visitation checks run roughly every 1-7 minutes (this will be adjusted moving forward).

- They will only visit spontaneously if they've been there before, through either a date, or invitation.

Pro Tip: Get a player home with a hot tub.  Trudy keeps stopping by, but I think she's using me for my hot tub.  Heads straight for it every time (walks right past me).

Pro Tipx2: Beer!

Expierenced another ':Excluded!' but this isn't like the previous, out of no where rather.
This SOI enabled NPC is vanilla & not from any mods and I confirmed upon loading a save they're still enabled and all seemed well.

Yes this NPC is a follower via CortexScrambler, she's the greeter that speaks to you when you first enter Angel Cave.
To avoid faction hostile I used Groovatron NV drag key to click and move her to the upper area of the cave past Joshua where no one could see us.
Shot her there and instantly after shooting her interacted with her and added. Can also tcl her and you into a wall and do so if needed, tcl back.

In Notepad++ go to line 3404 and onwards, added comments along the way, also a screenshot that might help, if not - atleast show where I was.

OK well, there was definitely a mistake in the rejection ticker.  New one should fix that danke.

Nothing in this mod clears 'Include' except child NPCs, resetting the NPC via the NPC manager dialog (remove option), and breaking up (which should come right back with new stats anyway).  So I don't know.  I noticed Eva still had an action going, even though the include flag had been cleared.  Further, this didn't happen until a 'save'.  Which makes me think something is screwing up the co-save.  Will keep digging.

EDIT: Eva is a vanilla NPC renamed?  I use the latest version of CASM to save btw.  Maybe it's hitting some sort of limit?  How many NPCs round about have you added?  I think I've only added 2-3 dozen or so.  Do you use FOMM exclusively?  Just trying to touch the bases because I have never been able to recreate this, and you're not the only one over the course of this mod to report similar issues.  Stumped ftm.

EDITx2:  Maybe my load order will help give some insight?  Say the word.

Meanwhile I've been trying to re-create it by loading previous saves before what transpired with no success, very odd indeed. If it's this rare...

Yes Eva is a vanilla NPC that was re-named via SOI manager. (Original name: Dead Horse Disciple of Canaan)

I don't use CASM I manually create new saves on demand, making sure to never overwrite saves or do quick saves.

I enabled SOI next in the main Dead Horse Camp next to the Eastern Virgin river, I don't use auto-adds I prefer manually adding so I know who's enabled.

The 4 Dead Horse Tribals in the main camp, the 2 inside Angel Cave when you enter, Joshua is not added, Follows-Chalk is, and the last 2 enabled are at the end of Angel Cave exit, outside area seen in the screenshot in previous post. Yes I use pride's FOMM latest version.

Sure, heading off to bed now how ever.

I can pretty much promise that things are going to break in the DLCs.  Mainly the fact that all of the trade assets (gifts/eat/drink/etc.) are located in a buried cell in the vanilla world space (which has nothing to do with the problem you're describing, but just fyi).

I have done zero testing/fixing in any of the DLCs, and probably won't smooth those out until I get things straight in the vanilla game.  I may put in a temporary mod pause option here soon so you can safely play them without problems.  At least until I go through them one by one.

It is the full log, it begins with loading the game, even before I interacted with any NPCs in that session, I was somewhere in Freeside, lvl 2. I started a new game with version from 2nd February 2 days ago, and continued with the update. Cycle speed was @ max.

Edit: However, it seems the new update solved the problem :)

Didn't really solve it, it just gives up now instead of continuing to try. lol  Still no idea why the approach lost its ref across reloads.

New SOI-Options up.  Added The Gray optional dialog.

For the moment is SOI going to remain heavily Monogamy based or in future be more 'open'? (Aside from the player being able to cheat or prostitute & whore.)

Seven Forms of Non-Monogamy:
https://archive.is/OIoM4

Monogamish relationships are those in which a couple is primarily monogamous but allows varying degrees of sexual contact with others. As with other non-monogamies, rules structuring these external sexual contacts vary by couple: Some allow only one-night stands (no second time with the same person) or only specific kinds of sexual activity (ie. kissing and groping are OK but no intercourse).

A Casual Relationship: This is perhaps the least complicated and thus the most common kind of non-monogamous kind of behavior. In a casual relationship two people share an emotional and/or sexual bond without being committed to each other. This is variously known as casual dating or a fling, all of which imply a non-exclusive relationship. A casual relationship differs from casual sex, which has little or no emotional element and from a one-night stand, as the relationship extends beyond a single sexual encounter. Even though a casual relationship can include mutual support and affection, the participants do not expect exclusive commitment from each other and the relationship is intended to endure only so long as both parties wish it to.

And unless I failed to notice - there isn't a single Cuckold in the Mojave Wasteland? Just a whole lot of Envy, Tension and sexually fustrated Monogamy interested men. tongue.png

Been happily playing the Novac area as of your recent update with the visitations & keys and that got me wondering what if my Lover and I were Open? Polyamory. Or he was a Cuck?

Example: Love & Trust in a Polyamory Lover won't negatively suffer when X (who I know and gave a key) comes to my motel room or home and have sexual intercourse or even threesomes.

If the player uses Sexout Wear & Tear STDs - make it so condoms are preferred/agreed in certain open/shared relationships or use of BunX etc.

What are your thoughts / reasons on this, T?

Some parts are in, other parts are missing.  NPC interactions are very basic currently.  All they can decide at this point is whether or not they 'dislike' another NPC, and whether or not they'll 'tolerate' them.  The other side of the coin is not there, and what you're talking about here is several steps down the line.   Promiscuity levels were the first step in this direction.

What does it mean when I pick  "x.Score" and get a nice in return? MY impression is that afterwards the makeout minigame is partly broken. For example when I pick embrace score and get a "nice", afterwards embrace score is missng. If I get a nice with all three score options, I have no score options left. Is this intended? Luckily it wouks again on the next date.

Another thing that is odd . when my char has sex as a prostitute, I can  often choose between several options ( oral, solo, etc ) the NPC would agree to. But I don't have those options when my char has sex with a lover? Wouldn't it make more sense if it is the other way around?

The "thrust" value seems to be unbalanced. I am aware that it is easier to destroy thrust then build it up, but here it is extreme. It takes quite a lot of time to get this value to 30 40 or 50, and then one negative rumor, that will always come sooner or later, brings it down to -100 quite fast.  Maybe I was just unlucky, but my impression at the moment is that it is almost impossible not to end up with thrust -100 if you spend enough time with one NPC

Nice means they're done making out ftm.  At that point you can either let it be and wait for them to come around again, or try and pull them back in with coerce/seduce/converse.  It isn't broken, but if you expect to always get your way based on some formula, or you're impatient, I can 100% promise you're going to be frustrated.

Every time you make out, you're not getting identical dialog choices (thought it may seem so because they're placeholders).  What you're getting is dialog based on the individual you're speaking to, and it's different for every NPC.  My personal strategy is to ignore any instinct to try and pose them, and get on with the game or move on to another NPC who is more willing.  They'll still be there when/if I get back to them.

The prostitution sex type options are based on their own request/preferences.  You don't have those options for lover because you're not being presented with a solicitation menu that displays them all at once.  Instead, you're making the same selections through a series of dialog choices as opposed to a menu.

Further, preferences are controlled and set by you, the player.  See Settings: in the OP under SexoutNG MCM settings.  Set them all to 100 if you want to pose them so that every NPC prefers everything.

Trust only takes that long if their heart is hard.  For example:

- I'm currently in a relationship with Trudy.  She is my girlfriend (Commit Lvl 3/Partner).

- Her trust has never gone above 10, yep 10.  Yet she trusts me because she is soft hearted.

- Her PC reputation is 1, yep 1.  This is because she believes that she is the only one I've ever had sex with.

- I go to great lengths to keep her from finding out that I have been a prostitute to Easy Pete, Chet, Ringo, and had sex with Doc Mitchell (among others outside of town).

How do I do that?  With effort and common sense mainly.

- I do my best out in the wasteland not to acquire too many rumors (only 3 rumors have been established so far at PC level 28).

- I make sure to Small Talk a bit each morning, so that she doesn't get suspicious through long absences.

- I avoid her when Easy Pete is around (he has lunch at the saloon every day while she's there).

- I don't behave/dress like a whore in public around her (together at my place, sure).

- I don't bring my work home with me.

Here's a couple tips:

- If you hear the rumor audio cue (whispering/shushing), find some NPCs who aren't likely to care and hang out for a bit.  Like say Patrons (they'll eat your rumors making it safer to go home to your girlfriend).  Granted you'll need to stop accumulating rumors for this to work, so change your outfit, or stop doing whatever was getting you the rumors in the first place.  Then just hang out and let them establish/burn off all the rumors they want, then go home to your girlfriend after.

- You can't expect to whore openly, where every NPC knows who you are and what you're doing all over the wasteland, and not have rumors follow you around/home.

- Don't concern yourself too much with established rumors.  For example:  NPC walks up says Rumor: Stripper. Whether you confirm or deny it, that rumor is gone.  In other words, it's no longer hanging over your head somewhere in the ether, and you can't bring it home with you because it has been settled one way or the other.

- The rumors you have to really worry about when it comes to trust, are the ones that have yet to be established.  For example: You're out whoring, NPC a,b and c all start whispering about you, but none of them says anything to you directly.  Then you go home with 3 floating rumors that your girlfriend can pick up on.  She picks up on them, not because of which rumor they are, but how many there are.

- If you want to build trust, work their disposition for best results.  Trust will grow automatically once they're familiar with the PC (some faster, some slower).

The following things are likely to initiate rumors (not always):

- When a creature asks you for sex in front of certain human NPCs.

- Dressing as a prostitute without hiding your identity.

- Walking around with spunk all over you.

- Long absences.

- Sex in public.

- Kiss and tell.

- Rivalries.

- Partying.

Hope this helps.
