MRM18870 Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 I solved the download problem, or better said, I found a workaround. The files are broken if I download them via button when I use Opera. However if I use Pale Moon as browser they work. But no idea why the browser matters here, and why this problem only occured resently only only with some but not with all files

t3589 Posted December 21, 2015 Author Posted December 21, 2015 (edited) New one up. Lots of changes to appearance tracking. Fleshed out the Add Manager some more. Note: If you have Auto Adds set to Groups, you'll need to toggle through them once again to avoid starting a fresh game. Otherwise, the new group options won't show up. In other words, just click through the Auto Add options until you get back to Groups again. EDIT: How this works: - If you set Auto Adds to Groups, it adds NPCs according to the Group Manager settings (the Group Manager button won't show up until Auto Adds is set to Groups). - Each faction in the Group Manager can be set to Named (adds only the named NPCS), NoName (adds only the no named NPCs), Enabled (Adds all from faction). - If you set Auto Add to All, it adds every NPC. - Some factions can be disabled entirely. More factions are planned for the Group Manager. It's mainly the strip that's missing currently. EDITx2: Slowly tweaking the system back to intended difficulty levels. EDITx3: More drunken AI tweaks! t3589 Posted December 24, 2015 Author Posted December 24, 2015 OK, so I've added more tracking to NPC > NPC interactions. There probably won't be as much bickering now. I've also added a compatibility matrix to determine if NPCs that 'get along' are compatible. Now I need to figure out upon what basis they may actually like one another and hit it off. If anyone has any ideas I wouldn't mind hearing them? All of the above changes are for the next copy btw. I haven't released it yet.

It seems like NPC's who share certain traits would get along, like people who both party or are both promiscuous would naturally get along, unless they are competing for the PC as a love interest. Soft hearted people would probably be more likely to get along with like-minded individuals. They always say opposites attract, but they tend to have a lot of conflict in my experience. Individuals who live together like Trudy and Sunny Smiles could probably be assumed to get along or one of them would have moved out (or killed the other, this is New Vegas after all). Just my two-cents worth.
t3589 Posted December 26, 2015 Author Posted December 26, 2015 (edited) New copy up. Social/Rival evaluation has been expanded greatly. Minimal testing. I also found a bug which, under certain circumstance would report incorrect population count. Should be fixed now. EDIT: New one up with a bunch of groups added. Also if you're using Spunk, walking around with smoodge on your puss will now a. make you look easy, and b. encourage rumors. Edited December 26, 2015 by t3589
MRM18870 Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 I hope you all had a nice chrismas It seems like NPC's who share certain traits would get along, like people who both party or are both promiscuous would naturally get along, unless they are competing for the PC as a love interest. Soft hearted people would probably be more likely to get along with like-minded individuals. They always say opposites attract, but they tend to have a lot of conflict in my experience. I agree with this I noticed a little bug - after sex, sometimes NPCs offers a gift, but there is no option to accept the gift ( must have come with one of the recent changes, because it worked until recently ) In one case I only had the options to ignore or to give a gift, in an other case I had the options to ignore or ask for a gift ( and got a negative response for asking ). An other bug that seems to be new - I had a date with a NPC, Date now worked, but when I wanted to enter "date here" I only got some strange "zoom out of body" effect for some reason. I don't know yet if this happens only sometimes or always if you want to date now, but reload the game does not help ifor this date. Seduce seems to be the same as rape or force. Shouldn't it work somehow different? Maybe a charisma/intelligence check. If PC submit, NPC get only very few dominance points, if player resist and fail the check, it isn't count as rape.

Was the NPC a creature? There was a weird entry in gift accept for creatures which I just changed. Other than that, no clue. You could try the new copy. I've either fixed gift accept for creatures, or I've fixed gift accept for creatures and broken something else. FYI gift accept hasn't been touched or changed in a long long time. Therefore, no recent changes could have broken it. Date Here should return two choices, [Activity] and [You Decide]. When you say zoom, do you mean a zoom face (meaning no dialog was found for the current selection)? Or something else? If it's a dialog problem you should check debug in the console. It will say something like 'NPCName Says Topic to PlayerName'. I need to know what 'topic' the NPC was trying to say to find a problem. Seduce is just something alternative that stalkers say. It's simply their way of sweet talking you into submission. Also, submitting or a failed resist will always add 100 points to Dom. Further, if the PC submits, it ceases to be forced sex, and a failed resist will always be considered rape. So no clue what's going on there. Just a note that all of the above problems are related to dialog. So it's possible that something is wrong with your game, and you might try a clean save or fresh start.

( see attachment ) I started already a new game before your last post now, and now added the new version. This bug did happen again, maybe I should start a new game with only the new version, but not now anymore ( its already past midnight here ) After reading the debug massage I think it may have to do something with the SOIR mod itself, but I guess you know your debug massages better The zoom out effect however did not appear again. I try to describe it nevertheless . The camera zoomed out slightly, the PC body became invisable, half a second before the clothes of the PC become invisable too. To gain back control over my char I had to open the pip boy ( Tab ) and close it again, but the dialouge was interrupted this way. If this will happen again, I try to make a short video of it.

Yeah anything from SOIR I don't have much control over unless BW informs me that I need to make changes. He's been taking a break from that mod, so as He stated here recently, it's probably out of date in places because I've been making so many changes. In your example SS, you can see the 'After Sex' topic is given by SOIR, which means all the settings for whatever transpires beyond that point are in the SOIR mod. Sorry.

I think I remember that there were things I tried with Kenny's dialog that didn't work out 100% as intended. Another more likely issue is, that my dialog profiles still have old SOI response structures in them. So any NPC with my custom dialog profiles could potentially be affected. I think it is possible to remedy this if you clear the dialog profile and return the NPC back to t's default dialog. T has to help you out with the exact console command though, since I can't look at it right now.
t3589 Posted December 28, 2015 Author Posted December 28, 2015 @MRM18870: You can clear their dialog registry easily enough. Check out the second post under registry for specific topics. So something like, open console, click on NPC, type NX_ClrEVFo "SOI:TpcReg:" 2 That should clear them all in one shot I believe. Then the next time they pass through they'll pick up the default dialog topics automatically.
MRM18870 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 At first: HAPPY NEW YEAR "Let's get drunk" suggested Josie to me and offered me water ... I am aware that Bruce mod is incomplete, but I see a general problem here. Some alcoholic drinks are together with softdrinks in one category, Whisky and Vodka are together in an other category with drugs. When the placeholders are replaced by real text, this will become confusing. Wouldn't it be better to have one category for soft drinks, one for alcoholic drinks, and a third one for drugs? An other thing I noticed, after makeout I picked finaly score and the NPC said seek location. After going somewhere else the minigame started again and ended with seek location .... Is it possible to check the location before starting the makeout? After sex a NPC said to me "again", but I got a negative response for pressing makeout. The same happend sometimes when the NPC starts a makeout. That makes the npc look as if he don't know what he want. Wouldn't it be better to have one "comply" option for those cases?
BruceWayne Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Happy new year everyone. That's indeed a problem that I wasn't aware of back in the day when I made Josie's dialog (which is unique). Her's was the very first I made and I still hadn't fully experienced/grasped all the new features of SOI, so I assumed that the [Drink] choice worked just like it did in SODRL.

Happy New Year guys. Drink = Refreshment while Party = Intoxication. This is why they are split up like that. The idea mainly stems from my use of IMCNNV, which tracks BAC (Blood Alcohol Content). My thinking was, you should be able to have a casual beer/glass of wine as a refreshment, alongside water and sodas. Hard liquor on the other hand, is for partying. Because of the BAC tracking, I can't put hard liquor in with all drinks. Though I could move beer and wine to the partying list. This would leave the 'refreshment' list with a total of 3 items. I'm open to suggestions. I would need more info on the Seek Location problem. So far it seems related to private location tracking. Not sure why your private location marker isn't being dropped. Looking into it. The last thing is a bug and should be fixed for the next copy which I'll post here shortly. It happened because the NPC respects the PC, and as a result, loses their mood in the process of asking for sex/flirting. Found this a couple days ago and fixed it for the next copy already.

They are in the same purpose (intoxication). There is no need for another category (there are 3 already. Drinks: currently includes beer/wine, booze: hard liquor that imposes BAC effects, and chems.). Did you move from an exterior to an interior upon the first seek location? Also you'll get a seek location sometimes when either the PC or NPC is sitting. This is just to get everyone standing up more or less, so that sex doesn't start inside a chair.

You have three categories for preferences, but not for dialogue - or am I wrong here? Yes, I moved to another location, to make sure to be alone with the NPC ( sometimes not easy to find a place, so you have to move to another cell for privacy ) but the second "seek location" happend in the same cell too, no one was sitting.

No, you're right more or less. There are only two activities that apply. Drink(refreshments), and Party(intoxication). I would have to add another activity, and possibly a whole separate trade sequence to distinguish between booze/drugs. It's not simply a matter of adding dialog. I'll see what I can come up with. I think I see what's happening with the privacy markers. Will try something in this next copy. EDIT: I'm starting to split up party: booze, and party: chems. This will have the side effect of an increased chance that when asking for activities, partying will be selected by NPCs who party, instead of another activity. Just a note. t3589 Posted January 3, 2016 Author Posted January 3, 2016 (edited) New one up with several changes. Partying has been split into booze/chems. Quality restrictions on favorite outfits have been loosened. EDIT: Re-upped with some additional rival/social tweaks. Edited January 3, 2016 by t3589
7KeysCurtain Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 T. I can't get any SOI enabled NPC to [Party] successfully with me after the most recent updates, even with they oblige. MRM18870 Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 I had this problem with a NPC that become a statue during activity too. However, pushactoraway worked as a workaround. I had however an other porblem, not sure if this is related to your mod, but it appeared only the last days, and I had hardly changed anything else. After sex the NPC become invisable. He seems to be still there somehow, because the activity abdoned countdown only starts if I leave the cell. I made this screenshot with console massages. What debug settings can I activate to figure out what went wrong? booze vs chems - would be great if this could work for player suggested avtivity too

I haven't had this happen in ages so I don't remember the cause. I'm fairly certain it isn't going to be this mod. Try the new one and see if it still happens. MRM18870 Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 so far I had no trouble with invisable body, but its too early to tell. However I had an other ( small ) problem - for the first time I had a female stalker. - but there seem to be no animation for female- female rape.
