Lobzpooatu
So felt like this might be a good thread to make just to get to know folks a little better. Figured telling us how your day was and what you did would be a good way to do so. Â So I woke up went to work, watched my guys put on a roof, got a txt from my lady that we got a home loan approved! Pretty excited. Now I'm just driving back home were I will plop on the couch, relax and watch the third season of big bang theory and play bravely default on 3ds. No idea what we are doing for dinner, but I am starved. Â Anyway pretty good day over all and just glad to be feeling better. Â What about you guys? Link to comment
Guest endgameaddiction
My day is going by weird. While I have not eaten all day and have a headache, it's has to do with an old friend who showed up at my door today. He's homeless. He's gotten super skinny. I let him in, I let him shower and I gave him food. I guess I'll be letting him stay for a while till he can get back on his feet. And that's me... always helping people out. Doing what I can to help. Except this time I won't let it affect me when people like this forget who I am, or when I need help. And to be honest, I'm far too stubborn to depend on anyone. I would live off the streets until I got myself back on my feet before I ask anyone for help. I guess it's because I'm used to feeling left out. But it also has to do with the fact that I avoid it so I never get nothing shoved in my face in the long run. Â He looks like shit after two years. Well, I guess I'm remembered for something after all. I just hope he can get back on his feet. I can only imagine what his kid is thinking about his dad being homeless. Â Sorry if this is negative. It's just a really weird day for me and I figured I would let it out Link to comment
Lobzpooatu
It's awesome that you open your door like that to your friends. Sorry you feel down about it, but it's good to know folks like you exsist.  So we are both starving lol  I think we might hit up cotton patch for some chicken fried steak! Link to comment
Lobzpooatu
Now I can't sleep because of two to many red bulls. Ever since they came out with the lime flavored ones I haven't been able to stop myself. Link to comment
sorsharavenwing
Let's see. I got up at 0400, had my first cup of coffee, went out to the barn to milk the goats and cows, fed the livestock and the dogs, ate a quick breakfast, took a shower and headed to the office. The 50 minute drive took nearly 90 due to an accident on the interstate. Got to the office and found that no one else had made it in yet. Got half a dozen computers repaired (hardware issues) and diagnosed another half dozen and ordered parts. Went to lunch with a friend and got caught up on alllll the latest gossip. Headed back to the office to find that everyone was there and in a panic because the network was down. Checked everything out to find out that it's not the "NETWORK" that's down, but the "INTERNET." Tested everything back to the demark and then called it in on my cell phone because IP phones work SO well when the internet's down. NOT! Found out there was an outage in our area. And spent a quiet afternoon doing some maintenance tasks on systems around the office. Internet came back up just in time to head out for the day. Came home. Traffic Gods were smiling on me. I made it home in 45 minutes. Got changed into farm clothes, milked the goats and cows, fed the livestock and the dogs. Now I'm relaxing with a fresh cup of coffee, debating whether I'm going to play some Skyrim while waiting for the rest of the household to get home so we can grill up some steaks and corn. Overall it was a good day. Link to comment
xenic
Well, I bought a new graphics card and it wouldn't work. I had told my kids I'd take them to a movie, so they were getting antsy. I finally through my hands up and took it to Best Buy. Earlier that morning I was loopy on lots of cold medicine and browsing gelbooru.com. I forgot that until after I sent it in. On top of that, most of my stuff signs in automatically. I really hope the Geek Squad is being white hat about everything. Â Link to comment

Ever since they came out with the lime flavored ones I haven't been able to stop myself. I haven't tried lime but the regular ones taste somewhere between urine and nasty wine. Having said that, I used to drink them on the way to work (3rd shift) because they kept me alert. Link to comment

I have a lot of clients who have everything set to automagically sign in and I just ignore it all or sign it out depending on what I need to do to the system. I also don't care what they're surfing or streaming or have downloaded. I just mind my own business and get to the job at hand. As long as there isn't anything in your face illegal, I don't care. And I've never encountered anything that came remotely close to bordering on illegal.  Link to comment
Lobzpooatu
Lol yeah xen if a red bull gets hot then it really does taste like urine imo. Â Goats milk hmmm never tried it sor. What's it like? Â For me my day was pretty much the same except I stayed in the truck today and just messed around on my phone. Wasn't feeling very well, but got home and ate some dinner and feel better now. Link to comment
sorsharavenwing
Lol yeah xen if a red bull gets hot then it really does taste like urine imo.  Goats milk hmmm never tried it sor. What's it like?  For me my day was pretty much the same except I stayed in the truck today and just messed around on my phone. Wasn't feeling very well, but got home and ate some dinner and feel better now.  I prefer coffee to energy drinks of any kind. I can kill two to three pots a day on my own. Had Red Bull once and was jittery all damn day. How does that even make sense? I thought it tasted kinda nasty, though.  Goats milk is an acquired taste, I think. A lot of people don't like it. It's naturally homogenised, so the cream doesn't separate from the milk. And, if you're not anal retentive about keeping your equipment clean, it tends to taste bucky. I'm a bit of a clean freak, so bucky isn't something we deal with around here! But we don't drink the goats milk. We use it to make cheese or soap or paint and to feed any orphaned baby animals. The cows we have (they're like mini-cows... so awesome!) produce milk that has really high milk fat, so it's nice and creamy. We drink that instead. But when you're bringing in between eight and ten gallons a day... we make a lot of cheese and cottage cheese and cream cheese and pudding and... you get the idea.  Just had grilled sirloin with grilled corn and a fresh salad for dinner. Now I've got my Great Pyrenees lying by my feet and a glass of wine in hand. Yay Friday! It's my weekend to get to sleep in. So I'm staying up late and gaming for a while. Link to comment

Lobzpooatu
Ok so today went to buy a second hand tool box from a pawn shop. I have been saving for a new tv for a while and saw the same one at the pawn shop for five hundred instead of eight. I freaked and bought it. Got it strapped down and headed home. There wasn't a cloud in the sky until I got about ten minutes from home and then suddenly the bottom fell out. I quickly pulled into a gas station and this guy saw me cleaning the water off of the tv. He had a roll of plastic in his truck and gave me some. Â Totally saved me! Tv works like a champ! :) Link to comment
Majuko
So, For the last two days the air conditioner was broken. So I live in texas and its like 90 degrees inside my house! I'm sweating, my shirt is off and im a little irritated lol but like a god send they come and fix it, I got it turned down to 67 let the freezing commence xDDDDD Link to comment
Lobzpooatu
I'm in Texas too and it is brutal in the summer time for sure. Sorry about the ac though. Link to comment
sorsharavenwing
I'm next door in NM where it gets pretty damn hot in the summer too. I feel your pain, majuko. Our AC was out for ten days in the middle of June and had to wait for parts to come in. Â My day was pretty quiet. It was a nice change from the usual hectic Monday. And now I'm drinking a glass of chardonnay as I browse the forum while waiting for the green chile chicken casserole to come out of the oven. I love September. Freshly roasted green chile is one of my favourite local things. Link to comment
Lobzpooatu
Sounds good sor. Had a pretty relaxing day. Just sat at home and watched tv and played games. I have been doing chemo for the last five weeks. Next week is my last shot and I am done! Link to comment
sorsharavenwing
My sympathies on the chemo. That's got to be tough. But you seem to be in good spirits despite it all. Good luck with the next round and let's hope it's the last! Â My day was nice and busy. That always means that the day flies right by. I didn't do anything really exiting or noteworthy. But it was a good day. Now I'm waiting for a bit of this heat to die off before I hit the last section of evening chores. Then I'm off tomorrow. I have nothing official planned, so I should be able to get in some good, quality gaming! Link to comment
Lobzpooatu
Haha good gaming man! Today was kinda rough but made it through. Chemo sucks but I am still amongst the living. Â Got two more days of being hot and over worked, but moving to a new place with better net. Ordered a sub zero costume I hope will be here tomorrow and can make some fun out of it until comic con. Excited about that too because I've never been and I hear Adam West will be there! Link to comment
sorsharavenwing
Good gaming so far! I'm breaking for brunch and then getting back to it. Good food and good gaming makes Sorsha a very happy gal. Â Nice! It's been a while since I went to my last con. Mostly it's a time issue and the fact that I hate to fly. We don't get a lot of cons here. Okay... food acquisition complete... gaming is going to recommence. Link to comment
Lobzpooatu
Finished up with the roof we were working on. Got home and my sub zero costume came in!!! Went and bought some leds and a hoody to make it even more awesome. Still gotta get gloves and some boots to finish it off, but it's looking good. Â A little bad news though. We went and checked out our new place and it still needs some work and can't move in until it's finished. I was sooooooo wanting to move this weekend. Still what's another week. Â Ate at On the Border with the misses and just got home. About to unwind and play some Mario Kart. Link to comment
