I will investigate the chat lag. I am executing a few lines of code when initializing dialogue, but it should definitely not take 3-4 seconds to do.

Shock boots bug (3.2). When burdened the boots keep shocking you all the time, does not matter if you are 'running' or not.

 

Burdened as in carrying excess weight?

I can confirm!

i thougt it was caused by another mod (more devious quests) but seems cursed loot is the cause.

 

But seems the latest version adds lot of "scripts lag" and Chat lag the more items you wear:

 

In particular  equipping a full set of high security stuff boosts the lag of 3-4 seconds.

Each item you remove lowers the lag.

 

Without collars and high security stuff there is no lag.

Odd. The high security items have no special scripting attached. They are just regular DD items with the standard unlocking mechanisms removed...

Was testing the mod and saw equipping slave collar and high security stuff adds lot of lag.

 

Removing them removes the lag.

 

 

p.S. i have also another odd minor bug:

When i use the solicitation, and the  npc accept i have 2 answers:

 

If i choose to be gentle but the npc refuses and go rough instead, no money is given.

Don t know if its intended.

(was the same in old versions)

The slave collar does add a periodic event. I will check if I can make it use less cycles.

 

And yes, that's intended. Low morale characters will no be gentle with you, they tend to want it rough.

Ok tested and found a major bug for me:

 

1) slave collar alone indeed causes heavy script and dialogue lag.

 

 

2) with cursed loot mod installed talking to an npc causes some sort of autotalk bypassing most other mods options (but also activating characters and such).

That without wearing anything.

 

tried to uninstall the mod and everything goes back to normal, reinstalling cause the issue again.

 

 

Example of the issue:

More devious quests lets you perform jobs even normal jobs.

Pressing the action button on an NPC open a window with various options:

The options to perform the quest action and the option to talk.

 

With Cursed loot installed you see only the quest action and then the dialogue starts anyway.

 

Or again with submit i guess you can rob or rape a sleeping npc.

Yet with the dialogue oprion missing and the autodialogue you ends up waking up the npc.

 

 

Sames happens with vanilla skyrim activations in some quests (after the activation an autodialogue is started with cursed loot).

 

Hard to explain i hope i gave the idea.

 

All those issues were present from the 3.0.

It just took some time to understand what was causing it.

I was having the chat-lag problem on an old save, so I started a completely new one. Got to around level 5 and suddenly the chat-lag thing started. In my case, I was running an errand for Captured Dreams and it was perfectly ok until exactly that point. Got put into the CD items and then chat problems.

 

I am running an FX-8350 with 32 gigs of ram and twin GT760's. The machine runs Skyrim with full 4k texture mods and like a hundred+ NPC's on screen from Immersive Battles without any sort of lag.

 

Also, I dunno if its from your mod or not, but there was an item in CD called "Restrictive Boots" which hadn't shown up there until I patched this- it doesn't seem to have a texture.

Same here. After getting the first devices it took atleast 3 seconds for a dialog to progress, before that it got activated right after clicking on it.

 

Second thing I have here since updating to 3.x is that my PC does not get released after solicitation. The scene starts, all toys are equiped and unequipped properly, the scene ends and my PC can't move anymore (all keys don't work, mouse still works). Using the "Release" option from ZAP or your "Safe word" does not help. This happened first after upgrading to from 2.6 to 3.1 on an existing save, starting a new game after stumbling over v3.2 today did not help aswell.

 

Other SL/DD mods seem to work, manually starting a scene using DD:i dialogs or via Submit restore controls properly after sex.

Using ModOrganizer here (no conflicts shown), all requirements are fullfilled, all mods are the latest version, loadorder was sorted with LOOT.

 

The rest of the mod (which is great btw) works fine as it should.

 

A log is attached, debug options were activated.

The new item are sweet, but I think they need to either use the worn restraints threshold or or have a separate probability for occurrence.  My character is basically locked in the full slave setup (shock boots, slut collar, slave belt and slave gag).  Unfortunately she's halfway through a dungeon.  I will be forced to console some keys just to stay alive.

The above post reminds me: The corpses definitely need their own % setting for devious things to happen. I would like it to be possible to have bodies trapped but I'd like that to be quite rare indeed.

 

I like having pretty high chance for ornate chests, relatively small chance for standard chests and very low chance for common containers. This setup makes bodies way too unsafe to touch. =)

Edit (which is why I have the feature disabled on corspes, naturally)

For a future update, any chance of integrating the pet collar mod? At the moment the collars equipped by Cursed Loot remove pet collar.  It's not a problem as such - I can turn down the chances of equipping collar special quests in the mcm, I just wondered.

 

The Pet Collar is not a DD item as far as I know. So yes, the DD equip routine will mercilessly wipe it off you. I will try and see if I can make my collars work better with it, but I will not set any dependency on it.

I could fix this if I know what to do. I used the same keywords for Pet Collar as in stock Padded Collar, did I miss something? Isn't it enough to make an item DD-compatible?

 

 

Anyway, I think it will be easier to do the integration from my side. Unless you want to integrate my mod into yours completely :)

 

 

The only thing you'd have to do on your end to prevent my custom collars to overwrite yours is assigning the zad_BlockGeneric keyword to your collars. This will mark it as a DD quest item, which all DD mods I am aware of respect as a "don't touch" tag, including Cursed Loot.

 

Thanks! Now I need a volunteer to test it with the updated version. I tried the fix with the Sanguine Debauchery's "I need a strong hand" quest and it got removed when the quest started. But I hope it's intended behavior :s

 

I'm happy to test, if you need a volunteer, have downloaded 4.1.1 and will try later with a new character

 

 

Hope I'm posting this in the right forum - perhaps it should be in the Pet Collar forum now.....

 

Anyway - seems to work with standard items, but "events" will still remove pet collar - so pet collar trumps standard collars, events trump pet collar.  This seems a reasonable compromise to me, as it allows you to experience all the fun of both mods (and the special collars are a lot worse than pet collar in many ways :lol:)

I am doing the cursed collar quest and am at robber's gorge and I can see the option search arcane chest but there is no chest there and so I can't do anything.

My character managed to get a slut collar, and oh boy is that thing trouble! ^_^ Couldn't talk to anybody without being molested, nor stay at the inn, or go shopping....

 

I finally went to Eorland Graymane and asked him to remove it, which he did for a sum of 500 gold. 'Freedom!' I thought, but no! Even though the collar is off my character and no longer in my inventory, the effects are still happening, such as the random rapes as well as being unable to wear clothes. Nothing shows up under magickal effects, but I don't know if anything ever did.

 

Did I break it?

After updating to the newest version, I now get horrific chat lag (10-60 secs) whenever trying to talk with anyone. After uninstalling, the chat lag disappeared  :-/

 

I have rewritten the function in question from scratch and replaced it with a version way less intrusive. I have yet to thoroughly test it, but I expect it to improve that behavior a lot.

I am amazed that he was able to remove the collar. It's marked as a quest item. oO

 

And yes, that probably broke it.

I kinda figured it was something that shouldn't be removed, but I was also able to remove the slave chastity belt this way, which is what lead me to try it. A bug I guess, or blacksmiths just OP? ^_^

Are you using any third party mods that could have done that? The standard DDI dialogues do respect the quest item keyword, last time I checked.

It also adds remove item dialogues for cuffs and collars iirc.

The sd dialog will remove any of you custom items twice today i tried to solicit sex from a smith both times they stuck the high security belt on and because i was in a rush and wanted to get my arousal down i had em remove em. May wanna try and see if theres a way to keep that dialog from removing your items. I also had 2x ases of a bug happening don't know if it was just script lag or something with this mod but the white custom blindfold got equipped i never had the dialog box come up for removal but was able to remove em and pull em from my inventory yet the item stayed on. The only way I could fix it was trigger a auto strip event (i used the reset w.e.a.r from frostfall to do this) that removed the item. I've had no other trouble with other blindfolds to date.

I will need to investigate that. If another mod is unequipping my custom items, I guess I will need to take additional measures to ensure they actually stay on. :P

I noticed a small bug. I got the belt that can only be opened with five keys. With this on I noticed that opposite to the other items I can still change the escape options in the MCM menu.

Do you still have a quest marker on your compass? Might be a silly question, but I remember the quest markers lead right to the chests, so if there isn't one it might have borked.

 

If you're not too far into the quest (and you haven't turned the safeword off), you could always safeword and console yourself a new collar to start over.

This is not a bug really but something happened that made me load the game from a bit earlier. We are talking only about a few minutes there, max 15 but damn was my char screwed. Was wearing slut collar already and had some wear and tear efects slowing me down too. Managed to be hit by shock boots and was shortly enslaved after. I was slow. Very slow. Didn't keep up with the new owner and got blacked out only to get even yet another slow effect...

 

Anyway, I was really, really slow no matter what so the shock boots no running thing made me chuckle a bit. The movement speed was somewhere below 5% of normal. Anyway, my point is that maybe it would be good to have a minimum speed check somewhere, allowing at least 15% movement speed or something, although that too is quite slow indeed =D

 

I was so slow the char didn't even try to take any steps. It was a very, very slow slide. Slowing the player down in many cases is a good thing, but the combination of all these things ended up in a massive overkill. I mean at first I really had even to double check if my char was moving at all! :)
