Hi Kimy, just a small request. Made it before, don't know if you read it:

 

Please make the bounty for the public indecency adjustable, just like for the failed solicitation.

 

I play with cutthroat merchants, lower quest gold and other mods, so money is not easy to get, resulting in buying a horse/house or such is not trivial. These 2500 Gold are everytime a complete reload for me. I mean, 2500 Gold ... that's half a breezehome or to murder 2,5 people.

 

I really like this feature as such and used a workaround in 5.1. Setting "people report indecency to the guard" to 0 and disabling arrest by guard did work in 5.1, so my char was "only" raped again by the guard or lost 10% of her gold without any bounty. But in 5.2 I was charged again with 2500 gold despite exactly the same settings, so this personal workaround is gone unfortunately.

Yea I asked for the same thing really, to tie the consequence/fine for sex in public to be the same fine from failed solicitation.

 

Until then Ive just turned off the 10% fine for now. I dont know what you mean by a 2500 gold fine though. Is that what you set your solicitation fine to? Or is that 10% of your total gold? Id suggest for a workaround sticking any extra gold at your house, or on your horse if you can do that.

I got a little question regarding the Leon quest.

 

-- Spoilers ahead (I have no clue how to do the spoiler warning thing -.- ---

 

So... I talked to him, talked to the servant, got my package, got to the estate, done the second part of the payment and went to switch into my party outfit.

Well, I then get some error about conflicting attached restraints or something (sorry, forgot what the actual error is).

Though I get out fine.

I talk to the guard, he does his thing but doesn't unlock the door.

Sooo... I unlock it per console command and head down to the party room.

In there I get another error, telling me that slave boots require a plugin (NetImmerse or something) that I do not have installed (though I should have all mods listed as required).

And from there on... nothing happens... I can walk through the party-room, talk to everyone, but they all only have basic dialogues... no idea how to progress.

 

So... am I doing something wrong? or do I lack something essential I missed? or well, is this a known issue in the first place?

for your problem, did you get locked in other restraints before doing the quest ? did it work properly ?

 

unlocking the door with command will break the quest unfortunately. for NetImmerse, it's actually NiOverride. you have it in the Racemenu mod. if you don't use it, you'll need to get the NiOverride mod on Nexus.

 

 

 

Checked other restraints before and after (talked to Leah to test out the possibilities) and it worked just fine.

I suppose I will have to get the Override mod... but I can't imagine that being the reason the door doesn't open for me.

tomorrow I will see to get the first error-message I got when the "dressing room" door opened up, that is probably where the issue is at.

my char was aroused, like 90-100 and i slep, after that it triggers a random cused loot?? is this normal?

can i disable dream selfbondage somehow?

This is DCL (undocumented ?) feature.

 

 

It triggers if arousal level greater than 75 and you are not in your home or jail.

 

 

 

Thanks carmacknext for the reply and the spoiler. Good to know how it works exactly -- I do like this feature, and now I can work around it with SLA's Puppet Master when my char is already equipped with locked DD items that should stay locked on for quest (or fun, lol) reasons.

 

OHHHH so that's the reason! I got hit by it yesterday but I just assumed it was a delayed event from opening a nearby barrel. Now I'm happy it was not because that would have been a scary amount of papyrus delay to just get out of nowhere XD

 

But I can imagine it being annoying in the long run. A way to disable it would be lovely ^^

 

(note to self: see if disabling sleep assault disables it too)

Somehow managed to get some self-bondage stuff but I cant remove it from the SAFEWORD option. Its still there in my inventory and then it says "I may want to play with it later."

 

you have the bondage lover option checked. do you mean that after safeword your PC is still wearing the items, or the items are still in inventory ? if it's just in inventory i think it's a feature of the bondage lover. to remove the items you'll have either to sell the items, or uncheck the option

I still have yet to see Leon use the Shopping quest.  Vanilla NPCs, yes.  Can anyone confirm that it works for Leon?  Or that it is supposed to work for him?  The conditions for that dialogue appear to have been met, many times over the course of the Leon scenario, as I read the dialogue conditions in the CK, but that option never appeared.

I don't think that leon would help you get rid the armbinder he put on you.

No, that toggle was already off.  The main 'Sex Attacks' toggle was the one that worked around this behavior, which leads me to believe it isn't really a self-bondage feature (though there was nobody else around, and no containers were opened).

I finally got to test the striptease collar yesterday! It works, my current character is built all around frost spells and kitting soooo I don't get hit very often but I noticed its effects in protracted fights. It's reliable but not obnoxious. I think it's a good balance.

 

However I've also encountered a lot of bugs:

 

1: "Drop useful keys only" doesn't work for it. It requires 3x "Head Restraints Key", but Playing for 5 hours, I've only gotten regular Restraints, Body and Hands keys. My keys drop at a generous rate (regular at 5%, special at 7.5%) and all special keys have their weights set to 15 (except body which is 25) but for some reason it's giving me all the special keys instead of only Head Restraints like it should be.

 

This only seems to be an issue with special keys. Regular keys respect the "useful only" settings: I don't get chastity keys while wearing only restraints and so on.

Buuuuut I DO sometimes get regular keys for special items that can't be opened with them (like slave, slut and striptease collar and even high security restraints) which is weird too.

 

Perhaps the "useful only" function needs more specific conditions.

 

2: When trying to open the collar without enough keys, it claims that it needs "3 Striptease Collar keys". Just a typo but can be misleading.

 

3: Manipulating the colllar (to bring up interaction menu, either through a hotkey or on the inventory screen) while in combat throws the game into an infinite loop as the collar's inventory dummy constantly tries to unequip itself and DD locks it back on.

 

4: Reloading the game while in combat causes the collar to repeatedly try to unequip Devious Hider (DDi's invisible Devices Underneath item) causing a looping sound and astronomical amount of script load.

 

While the idea of the collar is nice, I feel it needs additional conditions. It needs to at the very least ignore other Devious Devices (since they reequip automatically), Devious Hider and Devious inventory items.

 

Update regarding 1:

I did some more testing and somehow managed to get a Body Restraints key while wearing only a belt, plugs and a set of piercings. Something weird is definitely going on.

had a idea about the bondage lover feature  (someone else mentioned this at least partly previously about the time of the site rollback)

 

could the bondage lover feature have its trigger set independently from the self bondage arousal setting??  (for when you equip the items)

 

if I understand it correctly right now the bondage lover feature prevents you from removing items from inventory (except selling or stashing

in a player owned home)..but it does not equip unless your arousal is high enough to trigger the self bondage quest.

 

the trigger would be when you put ore remove/attempt to remove a item from player inventory (that trigger is already there)

 

ie with it set to say 25% there would be a 1 in 4 chance that you would decide that that item would look so good on you that you equip it right then.

 

such as when first removing device from a container, trying to place in a container, selling it, or equipping it on someone else you would have a chance

of instead putting it on yourself not dependent on the self bondage arousal setting, that way say if you are attempting to sell 6 items each time you go to

sell 1 it has a chance of deciding that you like it soooo much you just equip it instead of selling it.

 

I don't know if this has been discussed much or if you have already considered it or not (or even how hard it would be to do) but thought I would at least

mention the idea (credit where its due someone else mentioned separating it from the self bondage arousal setting a bit ago)

Some details on Drop Useful Keys:

 

First, it only affects standard keys. Rare keys (body, head, hand, leg) are not weighted by worn devices.

 

Secondly, the "useful" detection is based on slot filled rather than key required for the item. (i.e.: any collar will cause a restraint key to drop regardless of whether that key will open the worn collar.)

 

And finally, the way the code is currently written, they are dropped in a specific order (restraint key, chastity, piercing). So if you are fully restrained, you will only get restraint keys until you remove all of the devices that normally use restraint keys. Then you will only get chastity keys until all chastity devices are removed. And only then will you get piercing removal tools.

 

Kimy, I would suggest the following changes to the drop useful keys section of the checkforcommonkeys() function. Basically, it just adds 100 points of weight to key drop chances for worn restraints slots and then selects randomly (so it only addresses the last point from above).

But what about when it is the result of a chest event or a result of combat rape?  It has only occurred..  Draugr..  when I got back I wasn't sure which Draugr it was, there was no quest marker.  I ended up having to run into the midst of a new group (devious helpless can be useful for removing items...) and then cleared dungeon per normal.  Quest remains in journal as incomplete.

When Bondage Adventure is triggered through a non-dialog event it picks a random NPC as the return point and there should be a quest marker provided. I think this is typically a blacksmith, but I'm not sure about that. The selection pool could be more varied.

Weird that it wouldnt be disabled normally. I mean I thought DCL events were disabled when he was your master.

Failed solicitation being exact the same bounty as indecency would perfectly work for me (and is most likely easier to implement for Kimy).

Okay so... when I put on the party-dress and check the (at this point still locked) dressing room door, I get following error:

 

An error has ocurred with your installation of Devious Devices. Please check the log for more information.

Error Text: WearingConflictingDevice received none argument.

 

Comes about 3 times, then the door opens. But yeah, guard still does his thing but doesn't unlock the door to the basement.

I updated all the three Devious Device Mods listed as required when I installed the update to Cursed Loot, so now I am quite confused what might have gone wrong.

 

Also:

 

 

 

By the way... the Note talks of guests with corsets and armbinders... I get corset and cuffs, that's normal though, right?

Well if you have prison overhaul you can get fined something in addition when arrested, which I think is default 666. But as I said I took off the consequence for sex in public since it was a flat 10% which I had no control over, I assume thats what you mean by public indecency, right? Still if you have it on do you have an insane amount of gold, like 25k on you?

Yea I asked for the same thing really, to tie the consequence/fine for sex in public to be the same fine from failed solicitation.

 

Until then Ive just turned off the 10% fine for now. I dont know what you mean by a 2500 gold fine though. Is that what you set your solicitation fine to? Or is that 10% of your total gold? Id suggest for a workaround sticking any extra gold at your house, or on your horse if you can do that.

 

 

My fine for solicitation is at 250 gold. Still I got bounties of 2500 gold for the public indecency in 5.1 and 5.2 every time. Do you guys get different bounties? If yes, what is the desired default?

 

Failed solicitation being exact the same bounty as indecency would perfectly work for me (and is most likely easier to implement for Kimy).

 

 

Well if you have prison overhaul you can get fined something in addition when arrested, which I think is default 666. But as I said I took off the consequence for sex in public since it was a flat 10% which I had no control over, I assume thats what you mean by public indecency, right? Still if you have it on do you have an insane amount of gold, like 25k on you?

 

 

I do not use PO any longer, it was way to much auto-pilot for a long rl-time for my taste.

 

No, I do not have a huge amount of gold. I get fined each time exact the same amount of 2,5 k if a civilian spots my char being raped. Different playthroughs, different times, different carried gold and each time exactly the same amount of gold ...

 

The 10% you are referring to should imho only link to the guard coming to you and wanting a part of the gold you are carrying (instead of raping or tying you up). But I get this nasty bounty directly at the moment of the "you are raped in public, someone saw it and reported it to the guard" phrase ... way before the guard actually approaches me. So in my opinion this has nothing to do with the 10% or the money I'm carrying.

I finally got to test the striptease collar yesterday! It works, my current character is built all around frost spells and kitting soooo I don't get hit very often but I noticed its effects in protracted fights. It's reliable but not obnoxious. I think it's a good balance.

 

However I've also encountered a lot of bugs:

 

1: "Drop useful keys only" doesn't work for it. It requires 3x "Head Restraints Key", but Playing for 5 hours, I've only gotten regular Restraints, Body and Hands keys. My keys drop at a generous rate (regular at 5%, special at 7.5%) and all special keys have their weights set to 15 (except body which is 25) but for some reason it's giving me all the special keys instead of only Head Restraints like it should be.

 

This only seems to be an issue with special keys. Regular keys respect the "useful only" settings: I don't get chastity keys while wearing only restraints and so on.

Buuuuut I DO sometimes get regular keys for special items that can't be opened with them (like slave, slut and striptease collar and even high security restraints) which is weird too.

 

Perhaps the "useful only" function needs more specific conditions.

 

Update regarding 1:

I did some more testing and somehow managed to get a Body Restraints key while wearing only a belt, plugs and a set of piercings. Something weird is definitely going on.

 

 

Some details on Drop Useful Keys:

 

First, it only affects standard keys. Rare keys (body, head, hand, leg) are not weighted by worn devices.

 

Secondly, the "useful" detection is based on slot filled rather than key required for the item. (i.e.: any collar will cause a restraint key to drop regardless of whether that key will open the worn collar.)

 

And finally, the way the code is currently written, they are dropped in a specific order (restraint key, chastity, piercing). So if you are fully restrained, you will only get restraint keys until you remove all of the devices that normally use restraint keys. Then you will only get chastity keys until all chastity devices are removed. And only then will you get piercing removal tools.

 

Kimy, I would suggest the following changes to the drop useful keys section of the checkforcommonkeys() function. Basically, it just adds 100 points of weight to key drop chances for worn restraints slots and then selects randomly (so it only addresses the last point from above).

Ohhh that explains everything. I'm finding it a little hard to navigate DCL's scripts since there's so many of them now so I didn't check. I assumed the "useful only" feature would work for both generic and special keys since they're both on the same MCM page now.

 

Since now all the special devices use a unified set of keys, and some use multiples, I think the option should apply to them as well. As funny as it is to get 20 keys and none of them fitting the collar I want to open, one would expect the "drop useful keys only" setting to prevent just that XD
