Been reading the posts on the proposed handling of the problem interactions between SD+ and DCL

 

Just wanted to say, and hopefully not just for myself but also on behalf of many others too, a very big 'Thank you' to you both, for being very helpful in resolving this so constructively

Thanks for your response Kimy, I was hoping that once the traps spells were cast that they would be attachable, like bear traps, to Cursed Loot.  But if the entire process of Trap Spells is a seperate scripted process it would definately be a much bigger rewrite of the vanilla trap scripts.  Which is probably why Devious Traps was done how it is. 

 

On other note, I am very glad to see how Skyrimll and yourself are active and cooperating to resolve device removal issues between your mods, Fantastic work you are both putting out, IMHO.

Dunno if the author is still following this but i found a bug.

 

If the follower arousal is 100 (even if both options of full restraints on high arousal AND restraints for followers are disabled) the follower gets full restraints.

 

If the arousal is normal everything works fine

I have tried unchecking every single plugin other than this mod and it's requirements, including my DLC:s. No difference.

If it crashes on displaying the Bethesda logo, the cause is a missing dependency approximately 100% of the time. Use LOOT and/or TES5Edit to determine what's wrong.

Was skyrim starting fine before you added cursed loot? 

 

Or did you... add a dozen new mods at once like most people? It's likely one of those other mods.  Cursed loot's dependencies are listed right up top--they're standard dependencies.

Remember load order is just as important.  If requirement B is loaded after A, it might as well not be there.

Post a list if LOOT etc doesn't help.

I have a problem with "Keys only drop when restrained/pierced" option. I completed the "Damsel in distress" quest but I still find a lot of keys and very often. So I checked this option ("Keys only drop when restrained/pierced") but nothing was changed. Keys are almost everywhere. How can I fix this?

I probably have found source of the problem. During walkthrough of Damsel in distress quest my character was somehow equipped with 2 pairs of slaveboots simultaneously. So I couldn't take off them by regular way and even with console commands. Therefore I completed this quest by console command. But something (scripts?) was left running and DCL considered that my characters still in quest. I reinstalled DCL with clean save and now it seems to work normally.

I have been having a mess around game with the latest DCL 4.10 and some other new mods I wanted to try out while waiting for this one and CD to update (can't wait!) and actually just yesterday after walking through lots of doors (I enabled cursed loot on all doors and ramped up the chances to get hit with items so my character as soon as she started triggering the cursed loot has been wrapped up tightly ever since lol) I ended up with literally 5 or 6 different pairs of gloves on my char, all but one I could simply remove, with the one needing a key to unlock, but they were all listed in my items as equipped, I just selected the 'equip' option on them all and they came off though (except for the locked pair which came up with the dialogue and removal options as per usual).

Does apropos work with sex attacks btw?

 

Just DL it earlier, works fine when I tried it with masturbating by holding down arousal show key, but during sex attacks nothing shows up.

I wouldn't know. I tried Apropos waaaay back, but haven't used it in a while. If Apropos hooks into SexLab scenes (which I think it does), I don't see a good reason why it wouldn't work.

I used the safeword yesterday and the exhibitionist suit was not removed from my char nor was the rubber doll quest terminated.

 

In addition/alternative to the above idea of 'not so lucky lucky charms' how about an unlucky charm or a chance that your lucky charm might be an unlucky one that not only doesn't work but also means the next time you open a door/chest etc. you are gauranteed to have x amount of items put on you? With options in MCM to turn it off and set the weights of likeliness and items equipped and so on? Of course you don't know if the charm is an unlucky one or a lucky one as it has the same name and appearance. Just adds a bit of risk to wearing the charm XD

 

Also I had a vague idea about the self bondage to make it a bit more interactive/immersive, no idea how possible it is but would it be possible that instead of your char selecting items herself to equip from the inventory when she hits that specific arousal level could it be made that the inventory pops up and you have to select the items to wear yourself, maybe some sort of timer that forces you to choose quickly or if you try exiting out of inventory without putting something on you get hit by a full set or something? As I said I have no idea how possible that is regarding coding within Skyrim, but I'm thinking along the lines of being forced to equip items yourself and if you don't or if you take to long you get something super punitive to coerce you to do it. Of course it would probably need to be able to check if you have something in your inventory that can be worn or not, probably do that check before forcing the inventory up so if you have nothing valid nothing happens?

I have trouble with the sex attacks. I'm set essential and I can't get raped. I've seen that it is a problem that already happened, but I didn't see any solution, and I, unlike most, I don't die when I uncheck the box. It just doesn't change anything.

 

I tried to load an older save (lot older) and it was working like intended.

Any solution was found?

I know, I was just thinking it could be made to be more immersive/interactive if Kimy agrees/if it is at all possible. Currently if you have many things in your inventory you don't know what's being equipped from it and you just passively watch it happen whereas being forced to choose items and put them on yourself or suffer the consequences would make it a bit more varied as essentially all the cursed loot events dump things on you while you passively watch it happen (not a criticism, this is one of my favourite mods :D ).

Possible it is, but what would keep the player from putting only the least punishing item(s) on, every single time? The obvious strategy is to make sure to carry a pair of arm and leg cuffs for when the function triggers and just use that.

That is true, I suppose it would depend on what items are already being worn, obviously you can't just put arm/leg cuffs on if you're already wearing them so you have to go a step up. How does the self bondage work out what to put on currently? Is it a system of 'progressive bondage' by working it's way through a list from least punishing to most punishing and filing in what gaps it can as it were until x amount of items are equiped or until the player runs out of spare carried items? Or is it completely random what it decides to put on?

 

My current mess around play through has me fairly tied up almost constantly (every time self bondage triggers she keeps putting an armbinder on, I keep forgetting to sell the darned thing at CD D; ) and I trigger the self bondage fairly often so I suppose in that respect it would work fine for more punishing playthroughs as I haven't been free of arm/leg cuffs for quite some time XD

I suppose it would be getting too fiddly/rediculous to have it able to read all the available items and slots and be able to tell if you go for the least punitive... maybe it could request you put on a specific amount of items based on how many are in your inventory (and obviously that are viable for open slots) so that at least one more punitive item has to be put on? E.g. Say Prisoner (haven't bothered to change her name this time as I'm just messing around while waiting for updates heh) triggers self bondage:

 

- She is already wearing a rubber suit, arm cuffs, slave shoes and a chastity bra.

- She has in her inventory leg cuffs, chastity bra, chastity belt, a vaginal plug, a rubber suit and an armbinder, so thats 6 items but only 4 are viable in terms of slots as she already has a rubber suit and a chastity bra on.

- So self bondage could request just one item but then you just put the leg cuffs on and be done with it, nice and easy, done and dusted as you pointed out, but instead maybe self bondage always asks you to put 2 items on (could just choose a straight up number of items in MCM menu to always be asked for (unless you don't have enough on you of course in which case it asks for as many as you have avilable or none and you just drop keys) or set it to 25%/50%/75% of the viable items you are carrying either way of coming up with a number could be MCM configurable to suit each persons desires). So Prisoner now has to put 2 items on, she could still go with leg cuffs but now she also has to put something else on such as the vaginal plug, but of course that will simply slip out again (so I suppose that would need a check to only be counted as a viable option if there is no belt already in the way or to check that there is a belt/harness to go with it to hold it in place and then a check to make sure you put said belt harness on with the plug if you choose to use the plug otherwise when you exit out of inventory you get severly punished), she chooses the leg cuffs and the plug and exits inventory - Prisoner gets severly punished for not using the belt as well with the plug OR she chooses the leg cuffs and just the belt and exits inventory - Prisoner is fine nothing bad happens, self bondage has been accomplished OR she puts nothing on and exits straight out of Inventory - Prisoner gets severly punished because she had viable items to put on.

- If this was doable I suppose the only issue would be that the random punishment for not putting anything on/correctly using plugs and belts would be a bit immersion breaking, so I would suggest a message such as 'Prisoner cannot help but put all the bondage items on that she has with her, such is the overwhelming need for bondage that she has' and then the punishment is to have all 4 (in this case) viable items put on the player automatically.

 

It seems complicated now that I've written all that up, but I'd dearly love it if it is possible and if you'd be up for giving it a go at some point Kimy :)

A note on the Damsel in Distress quest bug reported above:

I've got several other 'Devious' mods running here (Ask if you require a list, but I think it's probably unimportant)

 

I've had one occasion where another Devious event equipped several restraints on me, and it bugged out the quest-

To be exact, I'd removed the DCL armbinder, but still had the wrist shackles, and the new event equipped an armbinder.

 

From the brief digging I did upon discovering that the DCL quest was broken, my basic assessment was that the offending mod hadn't properly respected the quest item flags on the DCL stuff, and had just dumped it's own stuff on instead.

Predictably, upon removing these extra items, the DCL quest thought I still had it's stuff equipped :)

 

Bottom line is that I suspect it's probably another mod misbehaving, rather than a DCL bug.

DiD is designed with other mods possibly equipping their own items in mind, but their might be a situation or two when this might still lead to issues. If the other mod isn't respecting the quest item flags (which no mod ever should!), this will obviously break the quest, no matter what.

More about this issue. Just now my character triggered Cursed Collar quest. And during stage when she have to put on slave boots I got and error:

 

An error has occurred with your installation of Devious Devices. Please check the log for more information. Error text: LookupDeviceType received invalid keyword [Keyword <zad_DeviousBoots (1B027F29)>]

 

This error message appeared 3 times in a row. And now I have remembered that I got the same error last time during Damsel in Distress quest. Although I don't know what to do with it. I found some similar error messages on LL with different mods but no solution.

 

I have installed: SexLab 1.60 hot fix 2, Devious Devices Assets 2.9.2, Devious Devices Integration 2.9.2, Devious Devices Expansion 1.2.1, ZaZ Animation Pack 6.07 and Deviously Cursed Loot 4.10.
