Robert T Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 The scripts for the effects of the stamp tattoo isn't working for me. Arousal keeps going down and I'm not getting any other effects.
DocClox Posted August 18, 2014 Author Posted August 18, 2014 What does it say if you enter "sqv QAYL_Long_Leash" in the console?
carnifex Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Finally chose to give this mod a try, and I have to say it's really good. The only thing I regret is not having Deviously Helpless installed for the playthrough Is the screen blurring supposed to persist after the race is finished? Will it go away after removing all the tattoos with the solvent?
DocClox Posted August 18, 2014 Author Posted August 18, 2014 screen blurring should vanish within 10 seconds of the quest start. It's glitch prone though, and I've not worked out why. I use an OnUpdate event to clear the effect, but it doesn't seem to fire for some people. I want to try adding the timer to another script on a different form and see if that helps at all. If you can reproduce the problem reliably, I'd love to see a log file. Glad you're enjoying it otherwise.

I'd love to show you the log, but for some inexplicable reason my game only saves it when it feels like doing so. I'll let you know if I manage to get the right one. So far, I've started the quest two times and the blurring stayed with me on both runs. Will see if it keeps happening. Still, great mod. Looking forward to seeing more content.

DocClox Posted August 19, 2014 Author Posted August 19, 2014 I was trying to remember that last night and couldn't. It's surprisingly hard to google for.

Robert T Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 What does it say if you enter "sqv QAYL_Long_Leash" in the console? It says Enabled? yes State: Running Current Stage 30 Priority 0
DocClox Posted August 19, 2014 Author Posted August 19, 2014 You should be seeing some effect then. I suppose it's possible that if a function failed, the Update loop would fail. That's one problem with RegisterForSingleUpdate: it's better practice from an un-installation point of view, but it's fragile as well. On the other hand, the registration is renewed every time you load the game once the quest is running. So that can't be it. Any chance of a logfile?
windu190 Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Just out of curiosity. What is the next update going to contain?
DocClox Posted August 19, 2014 Author Posted August 19, 2014 Oh, another race, a quick chat with Cursus, probably advance the Soluble Problems quest a little. Possible a wee spot of public exhibition and reputation destruction on the way. That sort of thing. It'd be done now if I didn't go so mad on dialogue
hmgirlpopuri Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 It's true, he's mad! He sends us testers updates at 3:00 AM and demands we test it immediately!
Romm Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Thanks for the great mod Probably the best idea for a mod I've seen in Skyrim. I did the first part but didn't get the follow up but it doesn't matter. I have high hopes for the next version. Maybe you shoudl make the more bandit camps mod and deviously helpless necessary to make it more interesting Keep up the good work
windu190 Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Sounds great, can't wait. I must admit I visit this thread like 3 times a day for almost a week now to see if there's an update
DocClox Posted August 19, 2014 Author Posted August 19, 2014 Yeah, the test team are life-savers. I upload a new test version and I get reports like: "Not only did it not work, my monitor turned into a water-buffalo and ate everything in my fridge!" And then I'm all like "Really? Damn! I thought I fixed that seven and a half hours ago. Are you sure it wasn't a wildebeest?" If the next release doesn't fill your kitchens with hungry ruminants, you'll have the test team to thank, I can tell you.
BigOnes69 Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 The kitchen is easy to clean. It gets bad when they leave slut stains all over the rest of the house. Get back to work its only 2am

Also, who do I talk to for the Solute quest?

badbat111 Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 cant wait for the public version would it have other females with the player or maybe even allow female followers to be put in the same situation like the player ?
DocClox Posted August 19, 2014 Author Posted August 19, 2014 Where can I find the log file? You need to set up skyrim to generate the logs first. It's a pain, but for debugging alpha mods like this its sometimes the only way to get needed information. Also, who do I talk to for the Solute quest? No one as yet. As in the dialogue is still being written. Eventually all the alchemists will have something to offer, as will a few other npcs. There should be at least one worth talking to in the next release. cant wait for the public version would it have other females with the player or maybe even allow female followers to be put in the same situation like the player ? Other female races, yes. Followers, not yet.
BringtheNoise Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Hay Doc... I can't figure out how to get the key to properly show in game (and I want it so damn bad). In Outfit Studio I had to resize the key to 20% as well as move and rotate it (also convert it from a nif to a obj so that I could import it into the nipple piercing nif file). Strangely enough it looks good in Outfit Studio, but when I try to open the new mesh set in nifscope it just gives me a the nipple chains, and does not render the keys (which is what it was doing in game when I tested it). I tried to install blender 32bit with the script tools to import and export nif files... but if they don't show up in Nifscope I doubt they'll show in Blender... Plus I have no idea what I'm doing in blender (cause the damn words are to small to read). Strangely enough I went through the "skyrim - meshes.bsa" again and could not find any other keys (except the skeleton key). Probably someone who knew what they were doing could fix it, but I'm at a loss (and its probably something simple like nif string xyz needs to be changed to bla bla bla).
badbat111 Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 i found the key only by mistake XD went to grab the letter but grabbed the plate by mistake it was under it
BringtheNoise Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 wrong key... It's something I'm working on and have run into a wall... Basically it's a nipple piercing with a key hanging from it. If I could get the damn thing to work I'ld give it to Doc so he could throw it in the mod for one of the races he has planned (one where your character is bound and wearing a chastity belt, along with the key hanging from your nipple). Yeah... The best laid schemes of mice and men / Often go awry.
