saturo96 Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Hello, i'm trying the new quest but i ran into a little trouble, i'm stuck at the "finest materials" quest. After reading the note that i got from Taarie, it does show in the joural what i need, but it does not point to the stronghold, i tried to get around that by retrieving the items through the console, but it does not work with the Hagraven linen, even if i have it in the inventory.

The map location pinpoint is on "threading the needle" if you have that selected in your quest journal. I would be kinda surprised if it wasn't there. Probably a Mod Conflict if not because the content has been out for awhile and I'm sure someone would have brought that up already. That would be kind of a showstopper. Anyways, at the console... sqv sexlabamorousadventurestailors (Get the RefID of the hagraven linen) player.moveto <RefID of Linen here> Thanks! Addendum: "Hagraven Linen" is just some shit I made up. There's only one in the world. You have to actually go get it from the chest. That's what moves the quest forward. Addendum (2): Running the console commands setstage SexLabAmorousAdventuresTextiles 200 setstage SexLabAmorousAdventuresTailors 50 will also instantly complete the Finest Materials quest and move Threading The Needle past the point of going to the chest..
RJLbwb Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Shin is right - this is one of the must have mods for Skyrim - up there with Interesting NPCs in mods that add the material the developers should have put into the game.
Shubal Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Absolutely brilliant and funny as hell! Seamless!
DKafka Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Hello FoxFingers, Just wanted to say thanks for the countless hours you've already put into the mod and all the loving care you crafted it with. I hope it makes you proud to know that your mod has made this playthrough of Skyrim a blast.
Kinky Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 I really want to install this but it makes me wonder few things. If i install it and there is an update you say i can just replace old version. That is great but then again if update brought new quests and in my gameplay im already done with them then i wont see anything updated so ill need another playthrough. So in other words... if i want to do playthrough of skyrim (no dlc) when will this mod be complete for that part?

Hey Kinky Well, the current content available represents almost a years worth of work. That's the thing, every single quest takes forever to create because of the attention to detail that goes into it - every line of dialogue being voiced in the NPCs original voices and trying to make entertaining quests. When will it be done? When I burn out on it I guess. But the current content available is already a good add for a new play through - there's a lot of quests. Still, I've heard the same concern from others and I'm looking at making any future content open to pick-up anytime. Hope that helps, thanks!

Swissenergy Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 This mods does a great job of incorporating believable quests with the personality and situation of the characters in game. Having each character still using their own vanilla voice makes the quests really emotionally pull you in as not all quests are happy and perfect, some have some dark aspects about them which gives a better insight into why a certain character(s) has the personality that he/she does in game. That being said, there are some quests that have quite hilarious dialogue and others with well done romance, not all lovey-dovey over the top romance, that are very enjoyable. For those that like to have simple adult mods without anything extreme, this mod is definitely one you should download. There's nothing too extreme in this mod that would require you to download any sort of creature pack or something similar. This is also not a sex crazy mod, yes you will be spending time in the bedroom (and other places) throughout the quests but you won't be jumping into bed with a character every 3 seconds. Some quests have more sex than others but it's not like everyone is waiting with their barn doors open for you. Last and certainly not least is the work by the author regarding the dialogue/voices of each characters in the mod. As someone who has done the tedious work of editing audio and video files for several years, I can tell you that the compiling of the audio done in this mod was incredibly time consuming. I have never done something to this scale but I tip my hat to FoxFingers for the time it took to get the audio configured and the tedious work of cut/paste and start/stop to ensure that each character has a voice behind their dialogue. Not every line of dialogue sounds perfect, but unless the original actors are willing to come voice this mod, they never will be perfect so don't bash FoxFingers for a poor job as the resources to work with are limited. Overall, I really enjoyed this mod and recommend it to anyone who's even in the slightest bit interested and many of the quests go hand-in-hand with vanilla quests so you won't find yourself spending hours upon hours away from the quests in the vanilla game. Thank you for the great mod FoxFingers, looking forward to more!

If you ever did get burned out it would totally be understandable.
karlpaws Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Went through the Solitude quests finally, and there were a couple spots that I had a nit with. Pretty small nit to be picking given the situation but ... Since you are putting together sound files that were not created with this in mind, there are a couple places where the inflection of the voice may not match the attitude of the person speaking. I'm not sure if putting ( happy ) (sad) (accusing) in the "closed captioning" would be useful, but when I heard, for example "You broke Illdi" I thought I was in trouble, even though that was what I was asked to do, then "Good Job" (iirc) made me think it was just a voice issue. Jordis and Lydia almost make me want to get one of the multi-follower mods and a follower AI mod. I tend not to use followers much, and play a magic/stealth archetype. Fun and frolic might change my mind.
Grimbold the unlovely Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Foxfingers, I cannot thank you enough for this brilliant mod. I loved 1.30, but 1.31 takes the gaming experience to a whole new level. It is not just the seamless (or almost so) dialogue that makes the mod so magnificent (how do you do that?), but even more it is the imagination you exhibit in bringing the characters to life. Who could have thought that the tailors in Solitude oould ever have anything to offer? Or Sybille? But the housecarls are wonderful (I have not yet consummated the relationship with Elisif). The scene between Lydia and Jordis where Lydia "coaches" Jordis to bring her out of her shell was nothing less than genius. Skyrim followers have (until now) been very superficial. Visually, Skyrim is in a class of its own, but Bioware games have always been better for NPCs and dialogue. Until you came along. Now Jordia and Lydia make the "sarcastic" Hawke in DA2 seem two-dimensional. Bethesda should hire you. You have added a whole new dimension to this game. Thank you so much! I don't know if you plan on any further expansions. If you do, some NPCs who might have potential include: Hermir (sp?) the smith in Windhelm; the frustrated wife in Riften, Nivenor, whose husband cares more about Mara; Maven (if you are into MILFs); Mirabelle in the college; Serana: Seran's mom; some of the Nord women in the Dragonborn DLC (the one who is abandoned by her god has a lot of potential). This is a fantastic mod. Works really well with Apropos too (my other favourite sexlab mod)
xboronx Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Angi the lone outlaw hunter girl has some good vanilla dialogue. She might make a fun smaller scale addition (like the miniquest with Adrianne Avennicci). Also her story is tragic, she tells you that two drunk imperials killed her family and she killed them later. It still saddens her. The inclusion of vanilla quests in each romance is also great, since i rather do free roaming as a nice side effect your mod also lead me to do some of those quests i never did before
guk Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 I was just testing some NPC overhaul mods, and i'm wondering if there have ever been any plans for Uthgerd the Unbroken? I could imagine a simple quest for the player to comfort her over her grief from being rejected from the Companions, similar to the miniquest for Adrianne Avenicci. Starting with winning the Brawl quest that makes her a follower, the player could opt to be a gentleman and reject the money (as an honorable warrior she will insist on paying her debts). After sharing a drink and asking about her background with the companions, Uthgerd would express her fondness/respect and invite the player to her home to "get to know each other" better. Followed by a sex scene, she'd also gift the player a copy of her house key. Or would you consider Whiterun already having SLAA quest overkill? Anyways i'll see if i can come up with ideas in other places you haven't touched yet. Probably you don't want to make quests for NPCs that most players never see (like Angi the archery teacher), and there are plenty of areas that i have barely seen myself in over 1000 hours of Skyrim. (edit: oops, just saw xboronx mentioned exactly this above) Right off the bat i could see Irgnir showing her gratitude for removing Vaermina's Nightmare from Dawnstar. Possibly add a small quest in the vicinity, like another miner owing her money? After that she becomes a lover, gives the player the key to her house, and become a friend/ally. She's also one of the few NPCs i found attractive in the vanilla game, along with Karita the Bard also found in Dawnstar.
BoondockSaint Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 After sharing a drink and asking about her background with the companions, Uthgerd would express her fondness/respect and invite the player to her home to "get to know each other" better. Followed by a sex scene, she'd also gift the player a copy of her house key. Well, according to her lines, to know a nord woman you must to fist fight her and get drunk with her. After a few drinks, she may offer to have the last round at her house. A copy of her house key after just a crazy night... I think that's too much though. I'm also agree that Angi could have some love. She gotta be so ronery.

The only difference would be that you don't have to "rob" her of her own key.

I did not think any voice modification was being done, otherwise I wouldn't hear the breaks in places where the sound file were stitched together. I know it is enough of a project just finding the right words in the game files, cutting the sound file and re-assembling the bits to make the voice files. Doing some post processing (?) of the files to give the correct inflection and tonation? The author would deserve money for that (at least would if there were not the sometimes obvious breaks).
Dreamweaver Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 You're probably sick of hearing this, FoxFingers, but your mod really is remarkable. It's the reason I downloaded SexLab. Thank you very much from a seriously impressed gamer.
Sacremas Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 You're probably sick of hearing this, FoxFingers, but your mod really is remarkable. It's the reason I downloaded SexLab. Thank you very much from a seriously impressed gamer. You're going to get more of those, I was talking to Sharlikran earlier, the project leader and main programmer for LOOT/Wrye Bash/TES5Edit/TESnip and I mentioned some mods, including Amorous, and it seemed like he was already aware of it. I kinda don't think he'd be aware of many other Lover's Lab mods other than the Framework itself. I also heard that Gopher was talking about it during one of his livestreams, saying it was impressive but that he'd never check it out simply because computer generated characters having sex was just silly to him (man needs to download more hentai). Once the follower stuff is in that may change, I'm just saying. Also something to ponder; Shinji's review of the mod has been seen over 11.500 times by now....
LaEspada Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Or would you consider Whiterun already having SLAA quest overkill? Whiterun is already way overpacked with NPC's involved with Amorous advenstures. Honestly, places like Markath and Windhelm make great locations for more of these types of quests, since most mods don't really even touch those locations that much. Finally, give me reason to actually go to windhelm (other than to conquer it in the Civil War), and Markarth.

Every now and again someone who has done some audio editing will notice the ridiculous amount of time that has likely gone into giving the characters a voice. It's something the player will click through in 3 seconds, but for those 3 seconds it adds to the game. Appreciate it!

The only difference would be that you don't have to "rob" her of her own key. I've gotten requests before to give the player a lovers Key. I haven't done it because I don't want to have to keep track of every lover who has a house, ensuring the player is added to the House faction, and probably from there I'd have to make the player a co-owner on the house Bed or something. It's just beyond the scope of what I'm willing to do with my modding time. I just send all my lovers to the Underground Bath house anyways (playing Pokemon, gotta catch 'em all!). I don't want to have to worry about it or debug it. Thanks!
