Fredfish Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 I just started a new game using 1.30Beta and I'm getting the dialogue option to start the Ilisif quest from every NPC in Skyrim. Is everyone getting this, is it supposed to be this way or is it just me?
Teruke Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 God damn, relax guys... that's a mod i'll use, you can use whatever you want, or not use anything, your choice... chillax! Are you just exaggerating with that 19 year old thing or are you for real? I don't know how women are in your country but that face i would say it's 28-30 years old -.-
RavinBeast Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 I Wasn't Talking About Bejiin Warmaidens Specifically Turning Her Into A 19 Year Old Supermodel (I'm Actually A Fan Of It Myself) I Was Referring More To The Fact That A Lot People Turn A Lot The Older NPCs Into The Stereotypical Anorexic 19 Year Old Supermodel AKA What "Hollywood" Considers "Beautiful" Cough Miley Cyrus I Also Wasn't Trying To Put Anyone Down For Liking Something Different, To Each Their Own. BTW I Live In New York

FoxFingers Posted December 16, 2014 Author Posted December 16, 2014 By the way, from the list on ver 1.30, if there is ONLY HALF of what will be in the next update, that will be fxxk yeah! After solitude, which will be the next? Windhelm or the Dibella sisters? Yeah, this is the first half of the Solitude quests. Personally, I find becoming Thane of Solitude in my play-throughs kind of grindy and boring. So this is my attempt to put a wrapper around the whole process to make it more interesting. Especially the Bards College I find a bit one dimensional. The second release of Solitude quests will follow other characters and lead eventually to Jordis and Elisif. After Solitude, dunno. I just have to get an idea in my head. But, finishing this will still take awhile. Thanks!

Is everyone getting this, is it supposed to be this way or is it just me? Read the Walk-thrus. It says you can talk to just about any NPC to trigger the quest. Anyways, if you follow the Walk-Thrus and something in there is broken, then let me know. Thanks!
Contessa Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 I tried out the new stuff in the beta and it went smoothly. There was one hiccup I encountered that LOOKED like a bug, but upon further tinkering I discovered it wasn't. I would not get the dialogue option in Fangs of Desire for her quest, I checked and discovered that her quest was managed by another mod I use called A Matter of Time. It sets the level at which you want certain quests to be available. If anyone uses A Matter of Time and can't advance with Sybille, that's most likely the culprit since the level req for her quest by default is 10. Just wanted to share.
FoxFingers Posted December 17, 2014 Author Posted December 17, 2014 Hey. thanks for giving it a play through. I appreciate it and really glad to hear it didn't have any problems.

Isn't "A Matter of Time" the mod that gives you the in-game clock? Does it have an option to tinker with quests timing and I just missed it this entire time? o.o Or are you thinking of another mod?

MonaBabii Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Ah okay. Yeah I figured that functionality was not from that mod, but haven't heard of the other one either so just making sure A Matter of Time is one of those must-have mods for me accompanying me in every single play-through ; move the Solar/Lunar cycle meter majiggy just above the in-game compass, the in-game and real-life clocks below it (rl clock is so useful lol, I lose myself in this freaking game sometimes), and then link it all up with Gopher's Immersive HUD <3
Mord Sif Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 I've done A Widow Too Soon quest and it all worked flawlessly. The dialogue to trigger the become thane quest showed up straight away, too. I'm going to have a look at the other two now. As usual, this is seriously impressive work. Thank you!
T5T Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 I don't like Delphine. Me neither. They made Delphine act like she's the queen of some-place, and never giving the Dragonborn the option to shut her mouth with anything clever :/ Like the time she says "I shouldn't let you walk out of here..." ... Lady... You don't even have your armor on yet... leave the sas to after you suited up at least, goddamn... And don't get me started with the whole Paarthunax quest bs... I'd much rather get rid of Delphine and put an end to the Blades than kill that big winged-teddy bear. That said... if you were to somehow change *entirely* how Delphine is across the entire game and make her a little less of an immortal bi@~#... I'd support that any day Wll, I was thinking, that it would be great to make a quest, where she would realise, that she is acting stupid and would to do "stuff" to make it up for being a bitch. And with that quest it would finish the whole "kill Parthurnax" thingy if you don't want to do it (who would kill him anyway) and changing Delphine's atittude towards Dovahkiin for not killing the dragon... and doing some kinky stuff in the process. I know, that someone would think of something good, I myself am not good in creating kinky stories
Teruke Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 There was this thing http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/18465/? that helped with the dragon killing she expects you to do.
Budroi Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Are you sure its A Matter Of Time? www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/44091/? That just displays widgets on screen concerning time flow. ie. on screen clock. It doesn't affect game time scales or start requirements for any missions.

I think he meant the mod Timing is Everything, it's mod that changes some level requirements and triggers for quests to be given.

RavinBeast Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Also, One Thing To Keep In Mind Regarding Delphine (Or Any Unique Voiced NPCs, Mirabella, Astrid, Tullius, Ulfric Etc) Is That One Of The Things That Makes This Mod So Good, Is That Fox Preserves Their Original Voices, But Can Only Do That With The Voice Assets Available, And Unfortunately Characters Like Delphine Have Pretty Limited Voice Assets To Work With...
guk Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 And everyone hates Delphine for being an annoying bitch. Rather make a quest where we can feed her to Paarthurnax or something
Budroi Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 And everyone hates Delphine for being an annoying bitch. Rather make a quest where we can feed her to Paarthurnax or something Not Everyone... I personally like Delphine. or well I don't hate her.
Notalent Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Yeah, really can't see Delphine fitting in, shes too old. Also I really don't feel every single female needs to be boinkable. As for my personal wish list: 1. Serana: Yeah this is an obvious one, but shes one of the best characters in the game, is attached to you for a good long time and makes a lot of sense as a lover. 2. Muiri: Was probably the top marriage choice for most people before mods made everything interesting. Attractive character with an already fun story to hook your quest into. 3. Hroki: Ditzy and attractive teenage girl, would work for a simple romance quest with you wining and dinning her, maybe buy her some of the jewelry shes always looking at, would be a bit different from most of the stories in the mod. 4. Idgrod the Younger: Attractive daughter of Jarl Idgrod Ravencrone, could tie her story into helping either her or her little brother with her visions. 5. Brelyna Maryon: Ideal dark elf for the mod, fun personality, already has a tailor made quest to attach your own quest to with her asking for your help in studying magic.

Rather make a quest where we can feed her to Paarthurnax or something Not Everyone... I personally like Delphine. or well I don't hate her. Right I Totally See Why A Lot Of People Hate, She Is A Total Bitch Once You Rescue Esbern, Which I Ironic Since One Would Think She'd Be A Little More Grateful, That Being Said I Think If She Were To Be Added I Think It Should Be Like A Redemption Story, I Think An Interesting Twist Be That She & Esbern Used To Be "Together" And Maybe (If The Dragonborn Is Male) He Reminds Her Of Younger Esbern And Thus Has Secret Crush On The Dragonborn And Feels Guilty/Insecure About It (Do To Her Relationship With Esbern) And Acts Like A Total Bitch To Cover It Up, And The Dragonborn Is Able To See Through It And Thus The Amorous Adventure Would Be The Dragonborn Trying To Get Her To Admit It/Open Up... However All Of This Would Have To Be Done With The EXTREMELY "Limited" Voice Files Provided For Her, Thus While I See The Potential From A Character Development Standpoint, I Don't See This Happening From Technical/Practical Standpoint Without Sacrificing A Significant Amount Of Quality To Make It Happen, Let's Be Honest Here, A Huge Part Of This Mod Is The Fact That Each Character Keeps Their Original Voice, Remove That And You Remove One Of The Best Parts About This Mod...
guk Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 3. All 3 of these however are underage in bethesda's lore (Bodytypes of Skyrim even has a nice plugin that turns all vanilla "teen" NPCs into proper teen races, also fixes other stuff like old people not having old people race etc). And you don't really want to wake up the "thought police" because this could be illegal in beautiful countries like canada or saudi-arabia.
FoxFingers Posted December 18, 2014 Author Posted December 18, 2014 I don't know what I'd do with Delphine. She's kinda off-putting. She does have a usable amount of of voice files to work with, but since pretty much all her lines and the tone of her voice are either bitchy, imperious or commanding it's pretty hard to soften her edges. Well, difficult for a relationship quest line where the player isn't open to being hen pecked. There's certainly easier characters to give a sexual quest to out there, that's for sure.
FoxFingers Posted December 18, 2014 Author Posted December 18, 2014 Haven't gotten much feedback on the new solitude quests. If you try them. let me know if they worked out for you and if they had any entertainment value. As always, I appreciate it.
