FoxFingers Posted April 15, 2016 Author Posted April 15, 2016 I just finished the new Serana quest and I really enjoyed it. You did a great job as usual and Bethesda could learn a few things from you about creating a backstory for a character. Personally I would have liked to have had a little "talk" with Nazeem at a couple of points but I'm not suggesting you change anything. I can take care of that myself later. Ansilvund turned out to be quite challenging for me thanks to Hateful Wenches, I barely made it out of there alive. I have never seen so many draugr in one place before near the end of that cave. Thanks Venomous D! Glad you were entertained by the latest. Hateful Wenches? Man, that looks serious. Hope you and Nazeem have a nice... chat... later. The Lydia stuff comes from this Mod - like playing Daedra and Battlemages. If you use Amazing Follower Tweaks there's a no-friendly fire patch that keeps them from killing each other. Usually. Oh... I was wondering. Wow, thats cool. I'm using Immersive AFT. BTW, I couldn't locate this patch you speak of. Can you link me? Would be greatly appreciated. And I hope its compatible with iAFT. Sure, here you go. It's the No Friendly Damage option in the download Files section of Amazing Follower Tweaks itself. Helps a lot! Thanks! Spellbound: Problem I had gotten scroll for Nirya, now the gate in the floor will not open. Any fix for this without starting over? Even if the scroll for Anska quest was completed previously, Spellbound still works. Rattle Snark already tested it. Here's some info on it. http://www.loverslab...55#entry1510004 Thanks!

FoxFingers Posted April 15, 2016 Author Posted April 15, 2016 My complements on the Serana quest line! I thoroughly enjoyed these quests! Thanks to all involved, they are very well written and developed. =) Yeah, sure man. Anytime. I got to ask though, why pretend like there's a faceless, unknowable committee around here working on this shit. What's up with that? I mean, the mod author's names are on the Mod. Why don't you be personal about it. Here, try this next time: "Yo, Fox! Thanks dawg!"

Juggled Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 This has come a long way probably my favorite quest mod, I want to make a suggestion though. during the Dawnguard quest Serana asks for blood which you allow her to feed then offers you sex which you can accept or decline. This made Serana much more immersive as both a companion and as a vampire and is a much better dialogue option than "My lover" no offense of course I understand at a certain point she "likes" you rather than a "favor for favor" situation but I really like being able to feed the vampire You could make unique dialogue for all if not some of the other NPCs by using their names "Ysolda..." something like that idk. Anywho I LoVe YouR WoRK so uhh.. keep going?

Really? What level is your character? I find it extremely rare to encounter such easy level dungeons nowadays. It was a piece of cake for me, even without Serana's assistance, except for those necromancers casting snow storms which drain your health really quickly... like... REAL quick. But I had one more trick up my sleeve for that- the spell breaker with elemental shield perk. Combined it with a necklace of frost suppression and I was literally invincible. Did not take 1 point of damage from their necromancy. Hateful Wenches is what made it difficult otherwise it would have been a piece of cake for me as well. It isn't the normal necromancers and draugr that make it tough, it is the wenches and all the crap they spawn. If you haven't tried it I would recommend it, it has a lot of configurable settings to make dungeons a lot more challenging. At one point Serana and I were surrounded by at least 25 - 30 draugr, hateful priests and wenches.

I'd like to send you some support, but am unsure about how Patron works =/ Hey, thanks Leeyds. you are nice to say. I feel like we're properly introduced now and all. Well, for Patron I guess you just register with some name... as far as I can determine it can be an alias name as well - doesn't necessarily have to be your real name. Then, I guess, pledge a buck or two and when (or if) an new quest is released I get to have a Guinness at the pub on you. Alternately, I've had a kind hearted soul send me a Gift Rocket. That seems to work real well. All you would need is my email address and if you want to do that, PM me and I'll give you my email address. In any case, the main thing is I am glad you are enjoying the Mod and also Serana's quest line. I'm always happy to hear that. Thanks!

Anywho I LoVe YouR WoRK so uhh.. keep going? It's funny you should bring that up! I was thinking that too, traveling recently as I was with Serana. And, of course, you can turn On Serana's Hunger Timer in her Lovers Options after Dawnguard and keep that going. And I was thinking, Gee... wouldn't it be kind of cool if I could flip an option for Lydia to let me know when she was in the Mood as well? And then I started thinking about a few other things that would be Nice To Haves. So, likely the next update will just be an overhaul to the "My Lover..." option and the Lover Greetings. And these are the things I was looking at doing for some lovers. Basically the ones that are Followers or could end up Wives: Unique dialogue for certain specific characters. e.g. Lydia will stay in character and address you as her Thane. The saucier Lover Greetings will get rolled into the Lovers Options. The standard Hello's will be those affectionate but not sexually overt ones (which I know for a fact irritate some players). An After-Sex dialogue option. Basically a line of dialogue that affirms everyone is happy to get laid. A "Tell Me When You Want Me" option which basically replicates the Serana Hunger timer concept for other Lovers. An Amorous Lovers Buff - some small buff pleasing your lover. I'm honestly thinking of getting rid of the "Vaginal", "Anal", "Oral" options and replacing it with a single "Make Love" option. I'm assuming most people pick the Animations they are happy with in the Sex Lab MCM so you'll get one of those. I hate having to have three separate voiced responses and the Options don't work that well anyways. Finally... I would love to have just a "How are you doing" any time option for some lovers, and they'll throw you a bit of dialogue. Just another way to interact with your lover. That's all kind of what I was thinking of doing to make the Lovers Options more satisfying. I mean, I just put out three new quests - I'm not feeling like I want to dive into another one quite yet. So I may overhaul the Lovers Options. Thanks!

Any chance for some jealousy comments when other Lovers are around? I liked Jennassa's possessiveness, and some of Sofia's best dialog has her complaining about Lydia.
FoxFingers Posted April 15, 2016 Author Posted April 15, 2016 Any chance for some jealousy comments when other Lovers are around? I liked Jennassa's possessiveness, and some of Sofia's best dialog has her complaining about Lydia. It's hard to pull off. Thing is, Sofia has the luxury of being custom voiced. I'm limited by the games sound files and the characters themselves rarely refer to any other character by name.

So I may overhaul the Lovers Options. Thanks! I second this. Couldn't agree more with both of you. I too feel a lot more comfortable choosing to feed Serana which in turn would bring the option for lovemaking. Feels a lot more natural. I also would appreciate Lydia and all those other partners sticking to either "my love", or "my thane/friend". As of right now the game and AA both choose dialogues randomly which mixes everything up and confuses the hell out of me. I say you should go for a more creative approach to set timer dialogues for other partners. Something that would relate to their exclusive quests. Here are some ideas as to how this could play out: Instance 1 - Lydia Dragonborn: Lydia, I'm in a mood for some apple cabbage stew. Lydia: Your favorite! Lets go. Dialogue Options I hope you serve it hot. (Accept) Er... I meant the real one, Lydia. (Deny) At this point, if you accept, the obvious will commence, and if you refuse, two of these could happen: a- The dialogue simply ends with Lydia saying,"Oh...", or b- Lydia gives you a real apple cabbage stew. Of course, it would be a warm welcome if Lydia (or whoever your partner is) could go the extra mile and force you into submission anyway, but I don't know whether this or point b is possible so you'll have to see to that. Instance 2 - Carlotta Valentia Dragonborn: Carlotta, I'm thinking Mila could do with some time alone. Carlotta: Oh really? Dialogue Options Yes, my love. (Accept) Yes. You should give her some room to breathe. (Deny) Instance 3 - Aela The Huntress Dragonborn: Have you ever imagined how cute baby werewolves would look? Aela: (Laughs heartily) Dialogue Options Lets go discover. (Accept) On second thought, Kodlak would be furious. (Deny) Instance 4 - Adelaisa Vendicci Dragonborn: My dagger is transforming into a sword. Adelaisa: Oh? Dialogue Options Let me heat it in the most exquisite forge on Nirn. (Accept) Next time you'll find a greatsword here instead. (Deny) Instance 5 - Adrianne Avenicci Dragonborn: Ulferth treating you okay? Adrianne: No. Dialogue Options Lets go do something about it. (Accept) Wish I could be of help. (Deny) I'm sorry I haven't played other AA quests or I could've given you more ideas. Thanks for taking the time to read.
Slammer64 Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Hey FoxFingers, just a quick question, did you know that the source files are missing from version 2.11? I'm only asking because I "customize" a bit.

I'm only asking because I "customize" a bit. Yeah. the file download for the Mod is almost at the Lovers Lab limit. So, I jettisoned everything non-essential. I can upload them as an attachment here separate if you like!

hisstoryman Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 Fox just finished the Njada quest line, great job. You took a "C" list character and elevated her,; by giving the character depth, and an actual story. It definitely explained her demeanor and world outlook. The Aerin story was also well done. You found a great way to get rid of the creepiest character in the game. Lol. This mod has given me other story ideas that once I get a handle on some more advanced modding, I want to see if they are feasible.
MoonSpot Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 Just initiated Serana's Dibellan quest.. Oh we gonna have fun in Whiterun! Okay, that male idle animation made me laugh my ass off >.<! Definitely the sort of thing my dragonborn would be doing non-stop in front of every female NPC in skyrim. "Huuuugh...How You Do'in? *FLEXES* ". "Anything a big, strong, raging lesbian can do for you this fine day? *grunts* " lol Would love to see it smoothed/rounded out for the lulz.
curvycom Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Hey. Love this mod. Did the [wip] version of the new quest "mark of dibella" during version 2.10. I don't remember how it ended up, but now it says I have to go see Ahlam, but nothing happens there. I don't have the dialog to fix anything (like if upgrading from 2.09) When I run "sqv SexlabAmorousAdventuresDLC1_Mark" from the console, it says that i am in stage 30 and priority 70 whatever that means. Will the dialogs come up at some point? Do we need to go back to Marqarth? (I didn't get any dialog from senna there after the upgrade) I don't want to do a "Setstage" unless I know for sure that it's needed, or if for sure something is wrong. Can I just restart this quest? Is that safe? Thanks for a great MOD!!! I just played through the entire Dawnguard questline again (yay) and finished the Amorous quests with Serana as well. Now when i want to start the 'Serana and the Mark of Dibella' quest, i can't. I click the dialogue to talk to serana about Dibella, and she just sais 'OK', but then no new dialogue shows up. With another safefile, i already started the quest and was with the Miuri part, and it randomly skipped all the way to Ahlam, so no idea what happened there. With the new walkthrough i sided with the Vampires for a change, but that shouldn't interfere with the quests, would it? Serana is my lover, so i don't know what is wrong. The new dialogue won't show up. Can you please help me? But for the rest i still love this mod, so please keep making this. It is one of the main reasons why i still like playing Skyrim. OK, I can verify this works. IF you started the quest in 2.09 IF for some reason you got to stage 30 somehow Do This: Verify Nazeem, Ahlam and Senna are all alive in your game. If you killed off Nazeem the Quest cannot start. Run Console Commands: SetStage SexLabAmorousAdventuresDLC1_Mark 11 SetStage SexLabAmorousAdventuresDLC1_Mark 35 Then take Serana with you to go talk to Ahlam. You will have missed the beginning of the quest but it should pick up from there. Well, it did for me testing it. Otherwise IF you started the quest in 2.09 IF you are on stage 10 Do This: Verify Nazeem, Ahlam and Senna are all alive in your game. If you killed off Nazeem the Quest cannot start. Select the Fix Stage 10 dialogue option Serana gives you. Otherwise IF you are starting the quest Fresh in 2.11 IF the quest does not start Do This: Verify Nazeem, Ahlam and Senna are all alive in your game. If you killed off Nazeem the Quest cannot start. I think I'm going to have to go back to a save before I started the [wip] quest (which I started in version 2.10, not 2.09! Unless there is a way to strip all the quest info out of the savegame file. Which there may be. I seem to remember there was some kind of app for that that you or maybe someone else mentioned. Anyway... what happened is this: (prolly because I started the quest from 2.10 and not 2.09) I setstage to 11 , which of course didn't change anything , and then setstage to 35. This did advance the quest. But evidently the quest was not properly populated, because it pointed me to marquarth. Where Ahlam's dialog is delivered by Miuri. Nazeem would never respond, so I just kept advancing the quest one stage at a time until things worked. Anything with nazeem didn't work but everything else did, except with Miuri. Now Miuri is my lover. That's okay I guess. I got the gist of the quest and most of the Serana dialog still played through. Still, my compliments on an excellent questline. I'm so sorry that I messed it all up. I guess I can go back to before I started the [wip] quest and do it normally there. I guess you originally were going to do the quest with Miuri? A pretty good choice, really. She's kinda cute. Was looking forward to putting a smile on Ahlam's face though, she's always so unhappy, heh. I loved this mod so much I'm thinking about starting a new character just to play through it all over again! Bethesda should pay you, dude! I upgraded to the legendary edition JUST so I could play though your mod!!--totally worth it. I'll check out your patreon page. Also, do you accept paypal donations? I didn't notice if you did.
FoxFingers Posted April 17, 2016 Author Posted April 17, 2016 Should I remove Mariable Serana to use this? No. Not at all. If you intend to marry that girl, you're going to need it. I hope you're both happy together and have lots of vampire babies. Thanks!

Yeah, sorry man. Pretty much unrecoverable past stage 30. Quest stages can only be fired once and never more. Maybe you'll get a chance to see the thing as it was intended during a future play through. Originally, when I started working on the quest last November, Serana was going to visit three women in Skyrim like Dibella's ghost of Christmas Past (Scrooge reference) and none of them were Ahlam. One of them was Carlotta - and I ended up taking that quest with Mila and turning it into a stand alone quest for Carlotta which... judging by all the feedback I've gotten and the number of people who've married her and adopted Mila... was a great stand alone quest. One of them was Angi and that Quest will be revealed as a stand alone quest in time. And ... One of them was Muiri. And Muiri is actually kind of a sick bitch to begin with and I never got past that point. Serana's final romance just wouldn't gel. Serana's redemption got tied up in Muiri's and Muiri is actually irredeemable. At least not by Dibella, anyway. She's like Marvel's The Punisher. She can't be reasoned or bargained with. She doesn't feel pity or remorse and she absolutely will not stop until people are dead. It took me awhile to figure Muiri out, actually and it is one of those cases where Bethesda had already gotten the character right. She's redeemed by the Assassin in the Dark Brotherhood. Anyways, long story short, Ahlam's difficulty with Nazeem was really all it needed and it took months to figure out the direction to go with Serana's story. Sorry you ended up seeing the WIP version. I do feel bad about it. Thanks!
MoonSpot Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Quest stages can only be fired once and never more. Eagerly I wished the morrow; - vainly I had sought to borrow From my books surcease of sorrow - sorrow for the lost Lenore Seranore- For the rare and alluring maiden whom the angels name Lenore daedra named Seranaore- Nameless here for evermore. ;( ... Back into the chamber turning, all my soul within me burning, Soon again I heard a tapping somewhat louder than before. `Surely,' said I, `surely that is a solution in my notification tray; Let me see then, what the alert is, and this mystery solved I implore- Let my heart be still a moment and this mystery explored; - 'Tis the wind and nothing more!' ... Then, methought, the PC grew denser, errors thrown from unseen sensors Swung by devils whose foul foot-falls sputtered on the floor. `Wretch,' I cried, `thy God hath lent thee - with these devils you have sent me Respite - respite and nepenthe from thy memories of Seranore! Quaff, oh quaff this kind nepenthe, and forget this lost Seranore' Quoth the Fox, `Nevermore.' .... This he said, and nothing more. We all know that feeling, no? Laugh or cry.
