Rebel o Conner Wrote: 1) it wasn't my site, i was just modderator.

2) we have rules, and they said no insult, no spam and so on, so i did my moderator job. and to avoid trolls was a part of this job.

3)acermore was just a troll, and he was banned by my friend AlienSlof, so i bet she was right to do, because she's serious.

4) when you have things to tell me, tell to to me, not a in a forum on my back. you call me liar? i call you a coward.

First of all I'm not talking about Nexus--I can't remember the actual site's name but it was an adult one, the one run by the transsexual (I hope that's the correct termm) and she passed it over to you. And her and Acermore got along very well--trading jokes etc in the forums--then she became ill and passed it over to you and you ruined it.

And if AlienSlof is you friend then you should choose your friends more wisely since she turned out to be just as two-faced as you are.

And as for me going behind your back I can only say I'm sorry--sorry that you're calling the kettle black since you didn't hesitate for one moment to go behind Acermore's back--I don't see him on your present site--by saying falsely (that means lies) "i remember this guy, acermore. he was banned on every modding site for trolling", so, name one other than Nexus (which will ban everybody eventually) and I'll apoligize to you.

I'm waiting...

I've been getting a lot of reported posts from this thread' date=' from various people. Invariably, it's someone complaining they've been insulted - then I come in here to see they have insulted the person they reported right back. Either you're adults and can either:

Thanks Loogie, Rebel O Conner is a friend and I've know him for quite some time, he is very sincere and I've never known him to lie.

Thank you also goes to LemonBalm.

...What? What does that even have to do with anything? I think you're misunderstanding Loogie's post.

What is most stupid about the Nexus is that you get banned for life(or so they think, haha), often without even getting a warning, and their rules are ridiculously picky. It seems like they wrote them just to get people banned. Because hey, do you really read the rules when you join a community? I don't, because I know what is common sense and what can be tolerated by most people. The problem is that the Nexus has it's own standards of common sense, which is on the level of a British boarding school. They also like to proudly display their bans in a thread, like a hunter displays his trophies, and add some snide remarks to them. I'm guessing the moderators are all old cabindwellers who got beaten by their parents as kids.

If you are banned and want to get on the Nexus, just use a proxy or reset your ip. Then leave your profile empty(or fill it with fake info) because they snoop around to see if there are banned people coming back (yeah, they keep a criminal record just like the police). If any of the nexus staff can see this, I want to tell you that I have a profile there now and there's nothing you can do about it. I guess that must hurt in your banning-nerve. ;)

One more thing. Some good modders who have been banned leave their work behind and DarkOne has already claimed it as his property when they upload. Wtf? Nothing belongs to him except his own PC.

Another good point. We have some smart people on here who can see right to the black heart of the matter. ;)

You've hit the nail on the head there nightwolf!

Impotent doesn't just mean being unable to produce sperm' date=' dude. It means being weak, without the capability to stand for oneself, and not having the guts to stand up for one's own beliefs. Which is exactly what people that want cops hanging around keeping the peace for them are. I don't need a cop to keep the peace for me. I can keep my own peace just fine.

As for mature, maybe you need to experience more of the world, so you can learn that cops aren't your saviors.

I couldn't had said it better.

Agreed. If I may overgeneralize to make a point...

The kind of people who like Nexus are the kind who feel safe around cops. They like being impotent' date=' want to have adult decisions made for them, and never really mature.[/b']

The type of person who understands that safety isn't had by others, who is mature enough to judge the raw world before filtering by others, will not appreciate the Nexus taint.

Cops do not Great Communities make. Actually, Great Communities find cops unemployed with little to do except make small issues bigger.

And what do you know, I actually do appreciate and respect cops. That is a very interesting relation you have made there, I am curious if it applies to others as well.

Though I can't say I am appreciating being called immature and impotent for doing so.

I did specifically start with a disclaimer, stating that I was intentionally overgeneralizing. But if you want to explore whether or not it applies to you, I suppose we can. I am open to the idea that it doesn't.

I don't either. It just seems funny to me that there are posted rules all over the internet. It would be like every home, shop, and club having posted rules on behavior that you read before entering, else risk The Ban.

nightwolf, you said it a lot better than I could have. Honestly, if everyone had to read your post before registering with Nexus, they wouldn't have any new members, ever again. Well except those of us that will not be silenced. :3

Hmm... I find this curious. Today this one guy was banned for the second time. I'm not disputing that he deserved it. He was just rude. What's odd is the way they presented the ban in their trophy section.

Today's ban on this guy references this. Take note that the date stamp on the post is February 13th. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/499182-mixed-armor/page__st__140__p__4568799#entry4568799

In today's ban of this guy, it says this one comes AFTER he was banned previously for this comment. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/293444-new-vegas-crash-on-startup/page__gopid__4678797#entry4678797 Note the date on the PREVIOUS ban was actually AFTER the comment he was banned for today. (Feb 23rd)

So... that means that if a member is reinstated, they will re-ban you for even older comments if they find them? Seems pretty unfair to me. That's being retroactive with rules isn't it? So if someone got into a heated discussion three years ago when whatever what was said wasn't against the rules, they'll ban you for it today because it is against the rules today? Ugh.. headaches trying to figure them out.

I knew you couldn't possibly be right so I read the different posts and sorted it out in my mine and--:s--and--what?

Thanks, I wish I could make them read it, hahaha. Nexus might be a good site for mods(to some extent) but the moderators really get on my nerves.

I just saw this screenshot in another thread:

Come on...if you are insulted, upset or traumatized by a comment like that, don't use the internet at all.

Such behaviour just perfectly proves the mentioned 'police state mentality' to scan banhammer-food members' comments in search of anything to be used against them. It doesn't surprise me at all, it makes me think of grand inquisitors instead of moderators.

Which other site appoints a 'Vagrant-Zero' to Witchfinder General in the holy quest against degenerated forum felons (such as myself)?

"Makes the Staff that much less likely to approve similar ban appeals from others."

This comment makes the staff first and foremost look like a bunch of unfair creeps to me. At least they are able to topple ivory towers.

I feel like we are one torch and pitchfork away from hunting Nexus Mods down.

...people just can't compete with the Nexus mods.

Not thinking about an alternative means to keep on letting them get away with murder so to speak.

Figuratively speaking: Once the cancer that is killing TES modding has become too detrimental, steps have to be taken. The monster has become too strong. It doesn't choose its victims carefully anymore, it kills for killing's sake because it has become a habit. I can only speak for myself - banning obvious trolls might be justified and OK, but insta-banning me was unjustified and unfair, neither warning nor strike had been given.

A good friend got banned as well in the aftermath, for nothing but mentioning my name, no trolling involved!

Moderators out of control, corrupted by their power.

There's always one last little detail. Dis aren't Nexus mods - dis are people's mods!

NB Mentioning the name of "the Enemy of the State" would cause a Holocaust over there... ^^

Don't give it a try! Don't even think of it!

Right, has nothing to do with Steam Workshop going live.

Funny, isn't LoversLab growing? Maybe it's because I'm new here, but this party looks to be just getting started.
