Quick question it says on the Required list that Slave tats 1.04 is needed for the textures to work. Dose that mean ONLY 1.04 or dose 1.05 work as well?

It may sound/read like a stupid question (even to me), but I tend to assume* that newer versions of required mods are acceptable.

*And yes I know, "Every one knows when you make an assumption, you make an ass out of you and umption." So go ahead and call me an ass if you wish. :P

I believe Apropos has not been updated since slavetat 1.05 came out. In theory it should work and next Apropos likely will use the latest version.

I use Apropos and SlaveTats 1.0.5 and haven't noticed any problems.

I didnt really experiement too much with this until recently and I must say Im impressed with what this mod adds to the scenes.

1 thing that puzzles me though is that the "outside of sex" immersive text sometimes assumes that I am having sex, for instance my character asking whether she should bang the man after the blowjob is over even though sex is finished several minutes ago, it would be cool if this happened while having sex but it almost always seem to happen well after.

Now most of these immersive text bits are usually fitting the situation (basically that my character is horny as hell) and asking whether she should drop her pants let all the men in the tavern have their way with her but sometimes its the "I still think Im having sex" text.

What would be awesome (and almost certainly a nightmare to code) would be if these comments (both in and out of sex) had a "context" key and if you pressed that key, the comment would be acted out.

So if my character wondered to herself "I wonder what his cock tastes like after it has been in my butt, should I do it ?" (or whatever the line reads) then pressing the key would lead to next stage switching to a blowjob animation.

Thanks for a great mod!

There shouldn't be anything like that happening. The only messages which should play outside of sex are the W&T increase/decrease ones, and I'm sure I removed all the timing sensitive messages. So either I've missed something, or you've got some really bad script lag.

Certainly, there shouldn't be any messages about wanting to blow the character after sex in the W&T messages...

I'll take another look through, now seems as good a time as any to do the 3rd person W&T stuff anyway.

When my character woke up this morning the message "I'm aware that I've been checking out the package of every male I see", was the first thing I see. Console shows it is coming from Apropos so if it isnt coming from this mod Im puzzled.

Do you perhaps have a mod like Lovers Comfort or Spouses Enhanced that plays a sex scene on waking up? Maybe that mod is failing to fire the sex scene but succeeds in activiating Apropos. This is sheer speculation on my part.

I dont have any of those.

That message specifically comes from W&T reduction. W&T reduction runs by default every 12 in-game hours. The fact that it displayed upon waking is coincidental with a 12 hour time period completion. If you don't want to see those messages, turn them off in MCM.

Ah ok, I thought it was something else, never thought it was W&T reducing. I will keep a look out to see if the other messages coincide with W&T reduction as well.

You can investigate the text files pretty easily. They are located here:

Skyrim\Data\Apropos\db\FemaleActor\

Files are FemaleActor_WearTearReduced*.txt

etc.

Do you have any plans for making different dialogues for different personalities? There was a mod in Oblivion which although was nearly nowhere was complex as this one which displayed different dialogue when having sex, depending on what kind of personality you picked for your character in the mod's menu.

Something like the dialog varies based on your skills?

Like... combine the skills for your highest area (magic, stealth, combat) and whichever has the higher number is the one you select from?

Or just based on what doomstone you've picked?

That would probably require multiplying the current dialogs by 3 (for skills) or 13 (for doomstones).

Instead of that, perhaps just add in a couple of new entries total that are randomly selected alongside all the current text...

For example, if your strongest area is Magic, the RNG would have an 85% chance of picking default dialog and a 15% chance of picking text akin to this:

His cock feels so enchanting in me!

I wish that I had used a spermicidal ward.

Something like that?

I dunno...

Lol, that sounds good too, but I'm talking about something slightly different. This mod I'm talking about added a menu and the mod would only activate once you selected your personality. There were over two dozens of these, and depending of which you chose, it would display different dialogues.

For instance, just to name a few, there was "I am an innocent and pure person", "I live only to serve my masters", "I am a lady with class", "I am a massive pervert", "I am a man trapped in a woman's body", "I am a priestess of Dibella". If you selected "I am an innocent and pure person, dialogues such as "this is so dirty... why am I doing this?" would play. Similarly, if you picked "I am a lady with class", if your character did anal, a dialogue like "stop! I am a noble/lady! I don't normally do these kinds of things!".

The idea of "themes" has come up before in this thread (or actually I think the other Apropos thread - the one for feature discussion).

See the post by Mazarin on this idea:

http://www.loverslab.com/topic/28360-apropos-feature-request-and-descriptions-submission/page-18?do=findComment&comment=935342

I think Grimbold has asked about this in the past in his idea of "narrative" vs "dialog" concept.

I think the best idea going forward is to continue develop the idea of different databases, and to swap in the one you prefer. Currently there is only one database. And it has quite frankly been "themed" by Decauk because no one else is working on a cohesive content creation and editing for other themes. But the technology is there (i.e. the database is externalized from the mod), so anyone can pick this up and spin up some alternatives.

Cool, yeah all the comments I was talking about were from reducing wear&tear, many of them sound like arousal getting too high though (that would be a great mod to co-op with). Thanks for the help.

Gooser, my man, my buddy, my friend. I love the everloving crap out of this mod so far. No real mechanical issues or glitches to speak of. My favorite part is how customizable the dialogue is. I've sunk more hours writing and tweaking descriptions across different databases than I care to admit. I mostly play using Defeat as a male character, so I get the most out of the aggressive male actor descriptions. Since most of the focus of the writing seems to be for those playing female characters (can't hate, that's fucking hot, too), I'm left with a few questions.

Firstly, can I create my own unique animation descriptions to work for male actors? The format fo the female ones seems to be FemaleActor_<animation name>. Could I create a folder MaleActor_<animatio name> for Apropos to read from? Because, son, let me tell you, hot damn.

My next question deals with players transforming. I know at least Defeat lets a transformed player, ie werewolf, initiate a scene (albeit it's kinda janky atm). Is there currently a way for Apropos to differentiate between a normal player and a transformed one? Possibly by using the unique animation handler like I mentioned above?

I honestly don't mind if I have to build all the descriptions for this stuff myself, if you and Decauk are too busy with other stuff. Hell, writing it is half the fun.

Looking forward to the display widget. Keep up the awesome work, dude.

Yes, you can add Unique Animations of your own. For an animation to work, make sure the animation name appears in the file 'UniqueAnimations.txt' with the correct format and registrar name (a list of all animation registrar names contained below).

And yes, simply creating matching folders/files with MaleActor instead of FemaleActor will totally work.

Right now, I do not know if a transformed player will work. If you turn into a Werewolf or Vamp Lord and rape a chick, I have no idea what will happen. Simplest way to find out is to check it; write up some dummy files with easily identifiable messages, like 'this is the MaleVamp > female file triggering', or whatever, and see what messages flag up.

I would imagine 'WerewolfActor' or whatever might be required, since Skyrim (and therefore Apropos/SexLab) probably considers a male and a Werewolf to be two different things.

doesn't show up in mcm menu, no matter what i tried. I am using radiant prostotution because the game doesn't work without it. Any ideas? this has happened before with earlier versions but i have forgotten which steps i followed last time. I am using up to date sexlab, jcontainers, aroused. all the prerequisites

I don't think you understand. If you try to use Apropos, you must either:

1. Install JContainers 3.0+   -OR-

2. Install RP from recompiled sources for JC 3.0+ (which includes/bundles JC 3.0+)

The link for #2 is in the OP of Apropos under "Known Incompatibilities"

If you do #2 you do not need to install JC 3.0+ separately.

Once you get that all installed, create a new character and see if both RP and Apropos show up. If they do, and their MCM menus seem to be functional, then you have solved the dependency issue, and can move on to clean your old saved games and see if they can work.
