Hello everyone, first of all thanks a lot to the creator for the mod, can't live without it !

I think I may have a small insignificant problem. Using a propos+ deafeat + slavetat, I can't get the wear and tear texture to apply.

After a rough... erm... encounter with a bunch of bandits that left my character completely battered everywhere, I see no tears, scars or anything of anykind indicating the wear and tear texture applied. I tried applying them directly through slavetats and didn't have any problem so I am guessing the problem comes from a propos.

I know the question has probably been asked a couple of time in this thread but it would take me hours to read 158 pages to find a potential solution so is there anyone who knows where this is comming from and can help me ?

Is it possible that since I am using the slavetats slots already (my character is a slave whore, i am testing Maria Eden mod) the textures can't apply ? In which case should I empty the slots completely ? Or is the problem coming from a diffferent place ?

Thanks in advence for the help !

First thing to note is make sure you have slots available.  Remember that the total number of slots is controlled by the ini for NIOverride (included with RaceMenu, or installed separately) and that all of them use these slots (RaceMenu, SlaveTats, etc).  Look at my sig for the basic steps to increase the number of slots if you haven't already done that.  Also make sure face tats are enabled in the NIOverride.ini - they are off by default in the newer versions of racemenu/nio because face tats will cause a crash if the PC/NPC is decapitated (again, if you haven't already done that).  Next make sure when using tats in RaceMenu to leave the upper slots for SlaveTats.  At one time Slave tats would only use the first few slots in each section (it should use them all now with the newer versions).  I still do this - any tats I use in RaceMenu are added at the bottom, leaving the top slots for SalveTats/Apropos/etc.  The last thing to remember is that tats are layered from the top down.  So if you have the 'crying' tat applied from Apropos (through SlaveTats) applied and is in the top face slot (slot 1), but you have another face tats applied in face slot 2 or later, the other tats may be hiding some or all of the 'crying' tat.  Hope this helps (and not confuses the shit out of you - I have a tendency to do that sometimes :P ).

Hi, thanks for the answer !

I won't deny I am slightly confused and didn't understand all of your post but it is still great help to me :P

At least I know my guess was half right and the problem does come from the lack of available slots to apply the texture. From there I can try and fix it and when I will get some time later this week I will be able to look into your suggested methods so yeah thanks a ton for that ^^

From what I understand I have a few adjustment to make in the files from "racemenu" (even though I am not using it directly to apply tats but instead use the MCM menu from "slavetats") + make sure my slavetat mod is up to date (I have been using the same version for a while so it might not be the latest), correct ?

I would like to do a simple test to have proof of concept, so if I was to completely clear the slots used in slavetats would I be able to make it work ?  Anyway, thanks again for your help !

I have this problem where there is no description at all of whats happening. I tested it to see if the mod works with that strange language whatever it is, and it worked as it should. The only message i get is afterwards "my desires are satisfied". I have all the required mods installed correctly etc and Im using SL Romance.

Hello,

I've been messing around a little with the db for this mod, and am considering doing some medium-scale additions to what's already there. However, while I think I understand the overall structure of the files and their relationship to each other, a couple of things have me stumped:

  1. How does Apropos decide whether the messages are pulled from the consensual or non-consensual text files for a given animation?
  2. Can this decision be changed mid-animation (i.e. during stage transitions?)

I've tried to find the answers in this thread, but no luck so far. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

1 depends on how the animation is called. You can set in Sexlab whether an animation is aggressive or not, and a mod will request from sexlab an animation by exact name or by various tags - oral, blowjob, standing, (not) dirty - for example.  If you include both aggressive and non-aggressive text for a named, or unique in apropos terms, animation, it would work no matter how someone has it tagged, or if you wanted to call it by name with something like Sexlab Tools or just cycling to the next animation with the + key.

Regarding 2, I do not think that aggressive is activated when you change animations, though apropos will pull new description text when the next stage plays. It has been a while since I paid attention to that, but I think once it plays as aggressive or not it stays that way.

I am unsure what "strange language" you're referring to, but it probably points to whatever problem you're having.

The "my desires are satisfied" is likely from SL Aroused (or maybe Romance, I haven't used it) and is just reporting that your PC's arousal level is reset to 0

karlpaws, thanks for responding!

1. It's strange that I've seen the exact same animation treated as both aggressive and consensual by Sexlab/Apropos. It could be a Defeat issue and I've posted in that thread asking for some clarification.

2. I could have sworn I've seen Apropos switch from aggressive to consensual messages half way through an animation - may have to do more testing to confirm this.

Can anyone help? I keep getting this message when I play with a male character. Also to note I don't have issues with a female character but only every now and then rarely happens.

It lists your "male" PC as female, so I'd suggest checking Sexlab's settings and any other mod that might do gender changing.

Secondly, you could check the file it lists and make sure it A. exists and B. has content. If so, check it with the json validation file included with Apropos or one of the online checking sites.

Main problem is Apropos thinks your PC is female.

I  means exactly what it says. There is no 2nd person version of any description in that file. It hasn't been authored (yet).

You could add it yourself you know.

I'm running into a problem when trying to add custom text for a unique animation - it doesn't want to show up. If someone could point out the error in my process, I'd appreciate it:

1. Within the db directory, create a folder for the unique animation, labeled "FemaleActor_AnimationName"

2. Within the animation folder, create a series of .txt files labeled as "FemaleActor_AnimationName.txt", "FemaleActor_AnimationName_Stage1.txt", etc.

3. Write dialogue lines and validate json file format.

4. Create a new entry in the UniqueAnimations.txt file, calling out AnimationName.

5. Update mod database through the in-game MCM menu.

Following this process results in Apropos recognizing that 'AnimationName' is a unique animation, but it fails to pull any of the lines from within the text files. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I ended up figuring it out - the issue was that I had forgotten to included non-consensual animation descriptions. I was relying on Defeat to activate the animation, and the first Defeat scene is always non-consensual.

Thanks!

Is this mod dead?

Nah, from what I gather, gooser is reworking the mod. Takes a while to code, plus I'm sure guy has a life otherwise. Patience :)

Well you know, some people don't see the author post for a whole week and jump to all kinds of silly conclusions.

Sorry, it's just been so long since an update. Glad to hear it's still going though.

I discovered this mod thanks to Shinji72 but i see is not compatible for the latest version of Loverslab. :\

I'll waiting for a compatible version.

Do you mean SexLab? LoversLab is the website. :)

Apropos is completely compatible with 1.61b. What are you seeing?

Very happy to hear that, this mod, makes sex in Skyrim what it is, without the descriptions, I can't even stand the sex... no matter how hot it is :P

so that would explain why apropos is working 50 % with my skyrim :)

Damnit. I did update it. Perhaps I made the change and it was reverted back when LL bounced around and back? I don't know, but I do remember bumping the requirements.
