indeed, i tried SE but i can't stand how bad it looks compared to LE, also the AE crap is so god awful, all the "quests" are just read this note and go grab or kill thing, the npcs don't even talk to you, just hand you yet another note to read, and i could not care less about fucking fishing.

I returned to Skyrim years ago after an introduction to "immersive" mods (rip MxR). At the time, it puzzled me that a large portion of players were still on LE.

 

Now here I am on 1.5.97 and will die on that number. Respect to all the LE veterans 🫡

Well, it's not like I've been playing Skyrim much in the past year. Think I finally burned out, especially after spending 3 weeks last September/October on installing all the bells and whistles on a brand new machine. And I still haven't even fine tuned majority of that stuff to this day. This might actually be a final straw to put a cap on it and free up those 500GB of disk space.

I sacked off FO4 after it's 'next gen' update as cba trying to make a modlist that worked any more. Dread to think what it was like with the AE update they then released after that... 

 

Might also be time to put Skyrim down as well...

Having done a bit of web browsing it seems to have introduced a possible crash to desktop when using the map on vanilla and mods are broken (as per usual).

Does anyone have a wider picture on how bad it is this time around?

The only time I played FO4 was with Nuka Ride several years ago. Bought it on a sale for something like 10EUR just for that. Soon as I was done with NR I never touched it again.
