Naturally, it's the one that most prominently comes to mind because: 1. All game companies make very anti-consumer decisions. 2. This is the company they've chosen to cast their lot with, whether it was the least bad at the time or the one that most appealed to them, and they feel like they have invested too much to turn away now. I can't remember a game company I was happy with since 2014 Valve with DotA2. And now Valve sits in my mind as one of the worst because they've ruined DotA2.
jxm Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Okay...so I learned this now just as I prepare myself to reinstall Skyrim SE after I lost my harddrive some months ago... And reading all this has drained my excitement to make that "perfect" clean and mostly stable mod-installation and replaced it with...feeling tired and overwhelmed. Some quick questions: I reinstall Skyrim SE/AE now...and apply mods from here - none will work? I ask because its so confusing with downgrade or not, do you have the appropiate version of the mod to the Skyrim version etc. This has become so friggin complicated to navigate... What kind of mods might not work - or are save to use? For example, quest-heavy mods vs. just adding clothing? Body mods, physic mods, animation mods? Can I just "downgrade" to one of the pre1.7 versions and most will work fine, or is there yet anoter caveat to this? Sigh..thanks for any anwers

Sigh..thanks for any anwers If you go all the way back to game version 1.5.97 then you'll prolly need the back ported version of the new ESL system that was introduced which you can get at https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/106441?tab=description clothing mods, quest mods that are dialogue and scripts, body mods that are textures etc should all work i'd think, same with anything thats just giving .esp's and .esm's Problems start when the mod has .dll files as you need to get the one relevant to you game version (address library helps with that) which is normally shown on a mods download page if its relevant Spoiler
