Dayelyte, did you start these animations with no experience in the animation industry or did you do animation before? Because quite frankly, if these animations are the work of a beginner, I am sure as hell going to try 3DxMax for myself and see what I can do.

 

Your animations are flawless and they loop very well and that is even true with your first animations uploaded to the unnatural animations.

Flawless no. . . I know where the issues are with them :) Everyone is their own worst critic right ?

 

I am not new to 3D, but until this project I had never messed with the animation side of things nor did I have any experience with Max. I've done a bit of still imagery with Softimage and Rhino. Dabbled with Zbrush a bit, but never messed with animating anything.

 

It's a lot of work. Very time consuming. The most frustrating part is you know how you WANT it to look, but you have to overcome the technical aspects of the application to get it there. There is a lot of compromise that goes into these things. I'll have an idea and try it out only to learn the mesh can't handle it so I end up modifying the idea a bit to make it play nice.

 

For any wanting to try their hand at this, I say go for it. Hell, I got motivated to do so after seeing Panic's work.

 

Max is very intuitive ( IMO ) but it is still a damned complicated piece of software. Grab some books, and ask lots of questions. If you can swing it, consider a subscription training site like Digital Tutors ( I've used them for years for all of the applications I own ) or Gnomon Workshop. They have more online training than you probably have time to watch. :)

And those are incredible. Now the Atronach just needs an ass added to the model.
I agree. Though I doubt Bethesda had this particular behavior in mind for the Atronach when they created her :)

 

Also remember she's going to be on fire in game so the little details will probably not be noticed anyway.

While I could potentially reuse the male actors motion with a bit of tweaking, due to the skeleton differences I would have to re-animate the female from scratch. Would be more efficient and likely far easier than trying to apply a bone map to a different skeleton I think.

I was thinking female dogs animations.But then came to thinking why do animals not breed.Then though again.There was a mod that does that.Where it went?I have no idea.Mobs would breed an reproduce an travel to new areas an populate.Wish i knew the name.But so far the animations should be added to bestiality.I would ask for a mod called " I fuck everything ".An you added females of all creatures.If your male it works.If female SexLab Defeat would have its own effect.They Female attack females.Or Defeat could be adjusted to work on creatures a different way.

 

An now something more.Can you make female Rieklings.An set armor to match bodies.This is a big project i would like to request.Because If i could mesh armor to body for Rieklings i could see them wear lots of different armors.An that would go on Nexus.If anyone else could work on that.Id appreciate it.

Female dogs have been requested in the past and can be done, just need the time to do them.

 

As for female reiklings, while I can animate them, my skills in Max are not where they need to be ( from a modeling / texturing perspective ) for new asset creation. In addition, even if I had Godly skills in that department, you need someone versed in nifskope to get the material into the game engine.

 

For now, I'll just stick with the animation side of things. There is certainly no shortage of subjects to animate :D

there's something magical about your animations, with that I mean they're amazing :D

 

edit: What do you have planned for future?

Not entirely sure. I still need to add a finishing scene for the Atronach. Need to do some Netch scenes. Wanted to do some solo scenes with the werewolf. Have also kicked around the idea of trying to fix a few of the older scenes that have alignment / scaling issues ( spider and chaurus ) but are otherwise good animations.

I'd still like a werewolf cuddle animation :-)

I've been kicking around ideas for that actually. Something along the lines of:

 

Male spoon > werewolf. He's bored and let's his hand wander and she keeps growling at him everytime he gets a bit too friendly.

i like it! They all sound awesome especially the werewolf solo (I'm guessing its female werewolf masturbation? that'd be amazing and I fully approve xD)

 

Also I've decided to check how this whole animating bussiness works by looking at a bunch of tutorials...I know I say this a lot but hands down, you have all my respect for this work you do. I looked at the basic stuff and even that looks pain, tedious and complicated. I mean sure, it gets a bit more smooth once you get the hang of it but still.

 

 

edit: reading above post, wouldnt a cuddle animation be the worst nightmare in terms of animating? I'm guessing it'd be very difficult to make sure the limbs dont collide through each other and stuff like that :D

The tough part would be her tail, but may be able to work around that. What I want to do is figure out how to utilize a prop, for lack of a better way to describe it, during a solo set. Eg, a toy :)

 

It would have to be scripted ( example would be the sweeping animation where the broom just appears in the characters hands ) but would make a solo scene far more interesting I think.

 

Cyndi has provided some good insights on it so I'll keep working on it as I can.

The best place I can recommend would be either Digital Tutors or Gnomon Workshop. Neither are free, but they have a lot of information to divulge. Outside of that, would be any books you can get your hands on, then anything you can find on the net.

Okay. Finishing off the Atronach via the doggy style position. Tomorrow I'll convert them and add the animation files to the downloads section barring anything crazy happening.

 

Laptop is chewing on the preview render and according to its estimates, will be doing so for the next two hours. Will post the preview as soon as it's ready.

 

Related note: Went crazy for about an hour last night with Adobe Premier. I usually make a swf file out of these animation previews as I can make a much bigger and longer preview for a fraction of the filesize a gif gives me.

 

However, I learned the export codecs are not static and are dependent on what other Adobe applications are installed alongside it. Thus, without Flashbuilder installed, I had no FLV option in Premier :/ Took me a while to figure that out after it worked perfectly on the laptop but not my desktop.

 

Seems when Adobe updated their suite a few days ago I forgot to load Flashbuilder back on my desktop. Swear if it isn't one thing it's another. . .

The previews for the final scene with the Flame Atronach.   I have one minor hiccup to fix, but it's just me being picky. ( found and fixed it already, missing keyframe :| )

 

I will convert and release the .hkx files tomorrow for any who wish to use them.

Hi Dayelyte, just a quick question: Have you had a chance to compare skeletons of Atronach and Spriggan? Could something of your Atronach anims be salvaged for them?

If you go back a few pages, this has been asked before several times.

They aren't even remotely compatible. 

 

Have a look at their skeletons in nifskope, flame atronachs are one the ones with really inconsistent bone names.
