SKSE does not have the memory patch loaded by default. it must be turned on manually.

Add this to the skse.ini located in data\skse.

 

[Memory]

DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=1280 <---- change this value to 768 unless you know what your doing.

ScrapHeapSizeMB=512

 

If you have no skse.ini here you go

Tried that with

 

DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768

ScrapHeapSizeMB=512

 

And it caused me to CTD just after the beth logo, removing fixed it.

 

I think as i'm using freemen it might be duplicating function

@budroi: I'm on the road currently, I'll take a look at your load order later and see if I can give feedback. If you aren't already using Mod Organzer, I suggest switching, makes troubleshooting so much easier. I switched a month or so ago and love it.

 

@luki: ennlocal looks good, but consider Enable Compression=False for smoother (if you have plenty VRAM), go big with VideoMemorySize (I have 2gb gpu & 16gb of ram, so I use 10240gb for this), Force Borderless/Borederless Fullscreen=True and loose mod based Fullscreen if you have it, and EnableFPSLimit=True to avoid Havok issues.

SKSE.ini looks good, higher than 768 is generally wasted and takes resources from Skyrim's limit.

I recently dropped Climates of Tamriel. I'm using a combination of Relighting Skyrim, with ELE (all compatible with RS), Enhanced Dynamic Weather System and the plugin (not enb preset) for Natural Lighting & Atmospherics. I run Serenity as my enb preset, the combination is quite beautiful, though a bit demanding. I like that losing ELFX & CoT has dramatically reduced the number of plugins (compatibility patches).

SKSE does not have the memory patch loaded by default. it must be turned on manually.

Add this to the skse.ini located in data\skse.

 

[Memory]

DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=1280 <---- change this value to 768 unless you know what your doing.

ScrapHeapSizeMB=512

 

If you have no skse.ini here you go

is nice and has good atmosphere Serenity ENB, but a little too soft and dark for my taste ^_^

 

 

Ps: but which of the 3 files are installed ? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/17609/? only one and there nefogliono both? I have all the DLC and I installed only the third file of the mod, I installed only the third file of the mod, but because the first file is much larger ?

For Relighting Skyrim, I believe the first file "Relighting Skyrim" is the full installer & you need this for the meshes, scripts & textures. The third file "Relighting Skyrim FULL" is a merge of the plugins from the main installer, if you have all DLC you can use this instead of the plugins generated by the installer.

 

* I recommend the JIT option in the installer, it's scripted but the just in time feature is nice.

I'm not sure why ENB & USKP aren't playing nice together. I am using the 2.0.4-a files with a 0.254 enb binary downloaded 6/19/2014 and I am not experiencing problems. I do remember a STEP member having a problem with reproducible crashes east of the Solitude docks with USKP and ENB (and no crashing without both enabled), I don't recall a cause / solution being found.

Ok So i managed to get enb 0.254 to work, but the game flew through sex animations very very quickly.

From start to finish the entire sex act took maybe 10 seconds.

What could be a fix for that?

 

Second without a preset enb runs perfectly fine.

When I activate a preset game CTD's at startup.

I've never experienced anything like that. I just copy the d3d9.dll file from the "wrapper" version (not injector) of the current enb binary (0.254 currently) into my Skyrim folder (not skyrim\data). Then I copy the files from my preset (in this  case Serenity) in my Skyrim folder.

 

You aren't replacing the windows d3d9.dll are you?

No i installed correctly. Issue is apparently very rare but i was reading on enbdev forums that it can happen.

They recommended switching to 0.252 d3d9.dll or lower to attempt a resolution.

That actually did not help. i managed to find out after a lot of trial and error that some presets work. usually the big system hogs which my computer can not handle.

 

With my trial and error i found that enblocal.ini is the problem. i can copy all files from any preset over as long as i do not transfer the enblocal.ini.

 

Im still testing and tweaking enbseries.ini and enblocal.ini to get my game running smoothly.

load screens are like 4 minutes right now and game is a total lagfest.

My System (its a POS- they dont even make CPUs that fit my board (LG775 chipset) anymore, haven't in years)

cpu: Intel® core2 Quad CPU Q6600 @2.40GHz (4CPUs), ~2.4GHz

ram 6GB (2 x2GB + 2x1GB DDR2 - don't remember speed but two sizes match so no incompatability)

GPU NVidia GeForce GT 440 1GB - dxdiag says 3GB for some reason - I think because of virtual video mem.

No idea what SSD is

1/2TB 7200 RPM HDD

Windows 7 home premium

 

If I want to upgrade I will need a new board, cpu, ram and eventually a new GPU, current one is not horrible but its definitely aged.

Ok so i managed to track down the exact culprit to my problem.

Its enblocal.ini
It was this setting
ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true

needed to change it to false.
now no problems with enb

 

But now i have this problem.

When sexlab animations start my game runs through them very very fast.
The entire sex act from stripping to sex to orgasm to putting clothes back on takes maybe 10 seconds.
Animation movement speed is about twice as fast as normal
How can I change settings in enb, sexlab or my skyrim.ini, skyrimprefs.ini's to return sex back to normal speed.
current settings in sexlab are as follows

Copied stats to all 3 (normal, forplay and aggressive)

values in [#] are what they roughly move at in game

stage 1 - 30 sec   [3 sec]

stage 2 - 20 sec   [2 sec]

stage 3 - 15 sec   [1.5 sec]

stage 4 - 15 sec   [1.5 sec]

stage ending - 10 sec   [1 sec]

 

should i just change mcm settings to move decimal over one place. so 30 sec is 300 sec and so forth.

or is there a proper fix so that animations themselves will move at normal speed instead of the 2x speed.

Yeah my skyrim is in the default steam directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim) if it wasn't i'd be having FNIS problems so i doubt the location is the problem.

 

Think i'll go back to my if its not broke ideal

I would suggest moving/reinstalling Steam (& Skyrim) outside of Program Files or Program Files (x86) to avoid permissions issues, C:\Steam ... would work fine.

Re- SKSE.ini, use values of DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768, ScrapHeapSizeMB=256. Higher values reserve more of your finite memory and don't help stability. A very informative discussion (with rigorous analysis and even charts if you're into that sort of thing) can be found here on the STEP forum.

you would not have FNIS problems

the "warning skyrim is not run from a legal steam directory" error wont prevent FNIS from running.

I'm not even sure why that check is there. it doesn't do anything.

Clear invalid registrations helps eliminate orphaned scrips.

Tint texture resolution allows full 2k for some popular face mods (seductive lips)

Memory is to allow for a default block of 512mb as the game take 256 itself, so a value of 768 should be input. Additional blocks are created as needed and are best kept to 256mb in size.
