To be honest, I didn't use any guides except for the one for navmesh.

It's worth sketching out the shape of the room/house on a piece of paper or using a website. In my opinion, it's easier to transfer the “design” to Creation Kit that way, because you can see what the final result will look like. In CK (Creation Kit) itself, you basically build with blocks or ready-made elements.

 

In general, I recommend videos on YouTube from Darkfox127, but you will probably find better versions of the same thing.

Bethesda has a good tutorial series for creating locations and placing things. This is what I used to get started. Watch all 10 episodes.

 

CK Tutorial: Episode 1

 

I agree with @killer905 that Darkfox127 is also a good channel and covers more advanced stuff. If you ever want to make quests or set up Sexlab scenes, CadenBlackGaming is also a good channel.

 

Just take it slow and don't expect to learn everything all at once.

Wow. I wish you the best of luck, since this mod seems properly cursed - I mean, we'll be at fifth iteration now. Fingers crossed your project does come to fruitition - it's a great (albeit unfinished and ridden with small issues) mod. Love yours and Gristle's work on Animal Research too, so if this ends up the same quality - hats off to you.

 

One thing I loved about the mod is that it did allow you to have your follower sub in for you via dialogue at pretty much any point. I'm always annoyed at how little action they get in all the quest-based mods out there, relegated mainly to defeat and contextless random sex. Lydia's sworn to carry my burdens after all, so get to work, lady. I actually prefer to see followers and other NPCs have a go at it since they tend to have at least some character to them, unlike the absolute personality black hole that is the Dragonborn.

I'd be really, really sad to see this feature gone for one reason or another.

I'd be really, really sad to see this feature gone for one reason or another.

I believe that female followers assisting PCs (only males) in quests makes more sense than in the case of female PCs. Of course, female PCs may enjoy watching such displays, but they are not inclined to physically participate with the creature.

So this option would be fine for both cases, but a few NPC followers would have to be excluded due to possible quests.

Example:
Aela, Ria, or Njada. None of them can be taken on a quest related to the Companions contest. Why? Because we would have a second copy of that NPC.

Housecarls are the easiest, because they usually don't have any quests of their own.

This raises a question. If the mansion's guests are cloned NPCs, should they be restricted to clones of non-follower NPCs? If not, a PC might bring a follower (e.g., Aela) into the mansion and be surprised to find Aela already there. It's possible to create a triggerbox/script that checks every vanilla follower who walks in the front door and disables their clone, but that might create other complications.

 

Of course, using non-follower NPCs as guests eliminates some of the most interesting NPCs, so there's no perfect solution here.

Normally, they would be “unnamed NPCs” better known as “clients,” but one of the users had the idea that an investor (sometimes mysterious, because he prefers to protect his identity) appears, and after completing his task or other requirement, NPCs named from Vanilia (even followers) from a given Hold appear.

Example:
An investor from Markarth gives you a task, and after completing it, several residents of Markarth appear in the Mansion, replacing a few normal clients. This will increase the pool of NPC clients who will not repeat themselves from day to day.

 

As for followers, I think you could do as you wrote, that the follower clone disappears, but you could also make it so that the “follower” never asks for a private show, and will only be in the dining room or public show room.

They won't be cloned. They'll just go inside inside with PC like a normal building.

In general, we want to hear your opinions on whether or not it is worth trying to revive the old mod, but in a better package.

We will take all opinions into account, but please remember that sometimes your ideas, as well as ours, may not suit your tastes or those of the mod's author.

 

 

What are our goals?
- A larger mansion (more information below)
- Move the mansion to World Space (This will allow us to create a larger mansion and organise the area around it according to our plans)
- More creatures
- More staff members (Depending on the version of Animal Mansion, including PC and Thaena, there were between 2 and 4 people)
- Keep the story of the tasks themselves, but in some cases they will be slightly changed or completely reworked
- We want to keep Thaena, Jesper, Jala and Thaena's dog.
- Keep the main area with the bar and the dining area
- Rooms for private shows
- One large hall for public shows
- Several rooms for guests and VIPs
- Rooms for staff
- After a specific task, the option of fast travel (via dialogue or other means) to the task destination

- Thaena's story will be slightly different, because our idea is that she inherited the mansion from her grandmother.

- Area where public sex shows with creatures take place (paid, it would also have to be behind some doors that Thaena would keep an eye on)

- Doors leading to employees rooms (5 rooms, 1 is spare)

- Small area for Thaena's dog ( During day)

 

First floor:
- Rooms for Thaena, PC
- Small area for Thaena's dog (During night)
- Guest room (7 rooms but i think i will remove some rooms)

- 3 VIP rooms

 

Basement:
- Would space for dark creatures like falmers, chaurus, Deth Hound etc.
- Passage to the cave

How start a story?:

As for the beginning of the story, there are several possibilities:
- The PC found Anim Mansion on their own.
- A flyer.
- The innkeeper could spread a rumour, but it would be different from the rumours in Falreath.

Honestly, I am 100% for all these ideas. I support reviving this mod wholly

I recommend watching the video (Google Drive links) on page 4, which shows two versions of the mansion. The initial version and the version after completing several quests.

For your information! The interior of the Mansion has been completed (it still needs some minor elements, but they can be added later). At the moment, I will focus on the frame paintings, the exterior of the building, and... the sign (What? It's an object with certain services ^^)

I see! I've already did some basic quest tutorials, messed around with writing some simple scripts, but never actually did any environment building.

I'm not planning on coloring it because I don't have an artistic soul in Gimp or Photoshop :D

However, if anyone wants to try their hand at it, I can send a file with a blank sign and mansion logo.

Looking at historical paintings, they mainly had narrow frames. I left a wider frame for the square version.

Since we already have the Mansion, the Sign, and the Mansion placed in the world (still needs to be adjusted), we need to have an outline of the tasks themselves ;3


Intro:
 

Spoiler

- Upon entering the inn in Falkreath, the PC overhears a conversation between two NPCs
- During the conversation, the PC learns about the location of the Mansion
- If the PC tries to talk to one of the NPCs, they can find out more
- At the border of Skyrim/Falkreath, the PC meets guards and there are several ways to pass
a ) Sex (depending on the PC's gender)
b ) Pay (20/40 Septims)
c ) Persuasion
d ) Refer to a friend from Falkreath (the NPC the PC talked to at the inn)

 

- Finding the Mansion and going inside, you meet Thaena
- Thaena, completely unprepared for the sight of the PC, offers what a typical inn would offer: drink, food, warm beds
- However, the PC notices that the place is very empty
- Thaena explains that she has just started reopening the “Border Mansion” and that it is not yet officially open, and that she inherited it from her grandmother
- Thaena asks the PC to go to Dead Man's Drink, where she could send food, and to Gray Pine Goods to place an order for furniture
- Returning to the inn, the PC hears moaning and searches for the source, finding Thaena having sex with her dog
- Thaena finally notices the PC and begins to explain herself
- Here there would be 2 choices
a ) The PC is even interested in what they saw
b ) The PC can end the Mansion storyline at this point and never return

 


- PC suggests a change, instead of creating inns along the road in Animal Mansion
- Thaena, surprised by the idea, asks if it's a good idea
- The PC responds by saying that it is unusual and rumors about it will spread very quickly
- Thaena says she has heard that Jarl Falkreath supposedly has strange fetishes and this could be one of them.
- The PC and Thaena go to the Jarl together
- Depending on whether the PC is male or female, sex with the dog will be with Thaena, the PC, or FFC/FMC. Thaena will conduct the conversation
- Thaena gets permission for such an unusual establishment and they return to the Mansion
- The PC and Thaena must take action now and make the necessary arrangements before the first customers arrive

I suggest writing down the steps of the quest as in the example above. BUT! Remember that we may change the quest you have come up with to make it more consistent with the world and combine the best ideas for a specific creature.

 

I have a general outline for the creature based on the original, but it's worth listening to others:

I will preface this with I dont have any idea how hard it is to do some of this stuff in creation kit, nor do i know what you have planned for the exterior or surrounding areas for those beasts that wont be placed in the mansion but in a more natural habitat.  Anyways heres my spriggan quest pitch (2 versions i guess):

 

version 1


- Sometime after the inn has gotten started, thaena comments that a spriggan moved into the area near the large dead tree in area
- Player sent to investigate (tree is big and dead similar to gildegreen at start)
- Spriggan fucks player upon approach
- Player returns to thaena very confused and thaena recommends going to look for a spiritual translator person who can tell us what the spriggan wants
- Player heads to eldergleam sanctuary to find npc, npc returns with player
- Player and npc confront spriggan and npc fucks spriggan and explains that the spriggan is trying to collect nutrients to restore the tree

- Return to thaena and tell her about it, customers will now be able to fuck spriggan at tree and after a certain amount of times/shows the tree is properly restored and blooms like the gildegreen does in vanilla

- Npc stays to be a liason between spriggan and player/customers

 

version 2 (take this with a grain of salt, like i said idk how you plan to decorate the area or how hard it is to change stuff)

 

- Exterior of inn is cold, grey, kind of dead (this is deafult state of inn)

- After the inn has gotten started thaena mentions that the area surrounding the inn is so depressing and mentions that maybe some spriggan gardeners can breathe some life into the surroundings
- Player sent to eldergleam sanctuary to go ask the npcs there about getting some spriggans
- Npcs say that the spriggans will do it for a price, (its fucking) spriggans fuck player

- Npcs say the contract is done and spriggans will get to work immediately

- Upon return to exterior mansion cell we find it bright and vibrant with renewed life and spriggans wandering the property

- Return to thaena and shes ecstatic about the new look

- Spriggans added as an option for customers to fuck cause we need to still honor the ongoing contract

Personally, I like version 1 because I had something similar in mind, but I think that ideas from both versions could easily be used.

I don't know if the point in the introduction is fixed.

 

 

Returning to the inn, the PC hears moaning and searches for the source, finding Thaena having sex with her dog

 

I've always found it problematic and often prone to crashes.

 

My idea would be that the player is offered an overnight stay after returning from Thaena .

 

The player then has to go to bed and wakes up in the middle of the night, hears strange noises, and then finds Thaena  with dog in Thaena's room, where the door was left open during sex with the dog.

 

 

If possible, perhaps even on the bed.

 

Perhaps waking up as blurry as during Harkon Sex from Animal Research Quest The Dark Lord.

Mod Animal Mansion will be written practically from scratch. The only things that have been reused are the appearances of Jala, Thaena, and Jesper. The looks of the bar and dining area have also been partially preserved.

 

As for the proposal, it would make just as much sense as in the original version.

 

As for the animations, I will use Billy's invisible furniture animations. So there can be animations with a dog on the edge of the bed, etc.

Dog:

Spoiler

- Thaena wants to buy another dog because she doesn't want to use hers for shows
- PC heads to Riverwood or Rorikstead (Riverwood is closer)
- Once there, the PC meets the dog seller, the dogs themselves, and a few interested buyers.
- The dog seller explains that his female dog has fallen ill and he has no way to present the dogs.
- The PC offers herself as a female for his dogs in exchange for giving her a dog as payment.
- 3 times sex or 2 times depending on available CCF/CF animations, etc.
- After the show, talk to the dog seller about spreading the word about the new “Animal Mansion” establishment
- Immediately after the conversation, one of the customers (Jala) approaches the PC and asks what it's like to be fucked by a dog
- The PC explains, but also sees that she herself is interested in it
- Jala replies that a few days ago she saw a redhead (Aela) in the forest having sex with a wolf. Jala was intrigued, but wanted to try it with a dog. However, it turned out that the dog was too expensive for her due to her low salary, and she was also looking for a better job
- PC suggests that she join the Mansion as an employee and then she could have sex as much as she wants, and eventually, if she wants, she can buy her own dog
- Jala, surprised by the proposal, agrees, so PC, Jala, and the dog return to the Mansion
- PC introduces Thaena, the new employee, to the Mansion (Jala)
- Thaena is surprised that PC has not only brought the dog, but also a new employee

- Thaena also informs us that there is a female warrior here who wants to talk to the PC.
- The PCs talk to the warrior. The warrior says she has heard rumors about the Mansion reopening with a rather specific service. So she came to check it out for herself. The conversation continues and the warrior says she knows a Wood Elf who would like this place, but there is a problem: this elf likes to walk around naked.
- The PC replies that this is not a problem, because the customers will see them naked during the shows anyway
- The warrior replies that in that case she will go and get her and, while she is at it, she will spread some rumors about the Mansion
- The PC asks, slightly incredulous, what is in it for her.
- The PC receives the answer that she might join the Mansion because she is interested in it and that she is practically tired of risking her life for wealthy nobles in solving their problems.
- The warrior says goodbye and leaves.
- The PC returns to Thaen and informs him that it would be worth training Jala so that she could also work.

Note:
Here there will be another task related exclusively to training Jala with dogs, horses, and wolves. After which, Jala will approach clients and give them private or public shows.
