Aminal Mansion Rebirth? (Questions/Ideas/Dev Thread)

En général, nous aimerions connaître vos avis sur le fait qu’il vaut la peine d’essayer de relancer l’ancien mod, mais dans un meilleur format.

Quels sont nos objectifs ?
- Un manoir plus grand (plus d’informations ci-dessous)
- Déplacer le manoir dans l’espace mondial (cela nous permettra de créer un manoir plus grand et d’organiser la zone autour selon nos plans)
- Plus de créatures
- Plus de membres du personnel (selon la version du Manoir Animal, y compris PC et Thaena, il y avait entre 2 et 4 personnes)
- Garder l’histoire des tâches elles-mêmes, mais dans certains cas, ils seront légèrement modifiés ou complètement retravaillés
- Nous voulons garder Thaena, Jesper, Jala et le chien de Thaena.
- Conserver la zone principale avec le bar et la salle
à manger - Chambres pour spectacles
privés - Une grande salle pour les spectacles
publics - Plusieurs chambres pour les invités et VIP
- Chambres pour le personnel
- Après une tâche spécifique, l’option de voyage rapide (par dialogue ou autre) vers la destination de la mission

- L’histoire de Thaena sera un peu différente, car notre idée est qu’elle a hérité du manoir de sa grand-mère.

Ground floor:
- Bar area (Thaena)
- Area where guests eat and drink
- Area where public sex shows with creatures take place (paid, it would also have to be behind some doors that Thaena would keep an eye on)
- Kitchen/food storage
- Doors leading to employees rooms (5 rooms, 1 is spare)

- Small area for Thaena's dog ( During day)

 

First floor:
- Rooms for Thaena, PC
- Small area for Thaena's dog (During night)
- Guest room (7 rooms but i think i will remove some rooms)

- 3 VIP rooms

 

Basement:
- Would space for dark creatures like falmers, chaurus, Deth Hound etc.
- Passage to the cave

Comment commencer une histoire ?

Quant au début de l’histoire, plusieurs possibilités existent :
- Le PJ a trouvé le Manoir Anim de lui-même.
- Un flyer.
- L’aubergiste pourrait répandre une rumeur, mais elle serait différente de celles de Falreath.

This is one of the ideas I am most eagerly awaiting. And yours seem to far exceed my expectations. Animal Mansion is in my top three favorite mods, but I've played it so much that I don't install it anymore.

 

There is only one thing I would like to see is some BDSM with client, but that's not what the mod provides initially, so I think I'll stick with your ideas, which already seem very good to me.

 

You have my 100% support for this project, which I sincerely hope to see completed, no matter how long it takes. Pretty sure many people would like to see a new Animal Mansion.

How exciting! I recently found out about Animal Mansion and had the exact thought of "it would be awesome if it could get up and running again". Imagine my delight when I saw this post and your name behind it -- certainly a project in good hands! ^^

 

I understand if this would be too difficult to implement, but it would be interesting, I think, to have "themed rooms" based on creature type. For example, a plains-type area for horses and elk, perhaps a dank cave-like room for spiders, chaurus, falmer, and so forth. Immersive experience and all that ;)

 

I'm very excited to see this potentially come to fruition! 😍

In my opinion, BDSM content does not fit in this. And we do not want to use ZaZ either.

At the moment, these are just plans.

Currently, there would be a horse outside with a small stable. There would also be a larger area connected to a cave where creatures could hide at night, etc.

Holy shit, godspeed, this was one of my favorite mods from way back. Good luck with this! 


EDIT:
Some things I'd love to see:
- More small quests going out and doing stuff in the world for clients.
- Just more relation ship stuff with the other characters.

One idea I would have liked to see: it would be nice to have an animal follow us as a follower. For example, asking Thaena to buy a dog, a wolf, a chaurus, a horse... and make it our follower (or, in the case of the horse, our mount). This would help the game itself, while remaining immersive, and we could play with it whenever we wanted. 
The animal would be placed in our room while we wait, or would wander around the manor if it's too big.

Something like mini-sentences modelled on tasks from the original, such as Training Session, Horse Sale, Dog Sale? Some of these tasks from the original would not require any changes to the story, so they could be added, or even more could be added after adding a few creatures.

 

There will probably be no relationships between customers, but relationships between employees are more realistic.

It's a real option, but probably no one in their right mind would enter the city with chaurus/trolls, etc. :D However, it could be done so that overly dangerous creatures would remain outside the city.

yeah, just some stuff for the more neglected creatures would be great! For me repeatable quests help a ton in replayability.

It's a long way to the first versions, but suggestions will be taken into consideration during development ;3

Something like taking the mansion's dog/wolf/whatever creature out for a walk or horse out for a ride. and some random stuff can happen: option to just have fun with the creature after walking around a bit or going to a specific location, another pair of the same creature you are walking/riding shows up and you can have fun with both, maybe some other thing happens and you just end up fighting some bandits, letting the bandits join in? Kinda liked the dog walking quest in bestial essence so I'm just basing some ideas on that. 

No idea how difficult this would be to implement, just thorwing stuff out that I'd find neat. :D

Note: She will be hired during the mission to obtain the next dog, as Thaena is alone during PC's tasks outside the Mansion.

Something I was hoping for from Animal Mansion 4 was more quests involving the waifus of Skyrim. Stuff like Ysolda and a Sabre Cat, Temba with a Bear (was in AM4 dunno how complete it was), and maybe some NTR with Olfina Gray Mane having sex with a horse at the stables, ditching Jon Battle Born and being an exclusive horse woman? Plus many other things for other waifus in Skyrim.

Sexlab Confabulation is also kind of abandoned and I really hope somebody makes a stripped down version that only keeps the creature content (Frost quest, the bestiality stuff in Markarth, all the stable content, choosing horse for Maven Black Briar, having sex with a horse with Vex after having had sex with the stable horses in Riften etc.) without the faction stuff

Ysolda and Olfina will probably not be part of the main storyline, but rather side quests, such as ‘training’ in proper and safe sex with a creature. Temba had an interesting quest with Bear, which amused me quite a bit, so personally I would like to keep this event in a similar form.

What you are describing could be done on your own, because it would mainly involve removing tasks/dialogues related to them, as long as each faction/event has its own quest.

It would be nice if the side quests choose random NPCs. Skyrim's radiant quest system could be used, but it might be simple enough to just randomly select NPCs and/or animals (from predetermined lists). That would make repeatable quests more interesting. 

 

For outside the AM, I do like the idea of a wider variety of quests, e.g.:

 

* find animals for mansion

* recruit entertainer for mansion

* evaluate animals for sale (horse, dog) for nobles and other NPCs

* NPC wants you to teach them how to have sex with animal type safely

* NPC (husband) wants to watch NPC (wife) with animals and wants you to convince NPC (wife)

* NPC (husband) wants you to stop NPC (wife) from sleeping with animals

* Noble/guild wants an animal show outside the AM

* Noble wants an animal show outside the AM (but is a trap to catch beast lovers)

* NPC hires you to obtain and/or deliver animal to NPC

* NPC hires you to remove dangerous animal from area

* NPC hires you to collect creature semen for potions

* NPC wants to have sex with dead spouse (e.g., ghost, skeleton, draugr)

* NPC wants to be impregnated by daedra

* Jarl hires you to remove skeevers from city

* Jarl hires you to deal with troublesome giants

Well this is a nice new year surprise, wishing you guys more success than the others.   

 

Seems like Gristle already has a nice selection of ideas for quests.  One thing I thought of was when its time to go to Solstheim.  Maybe you get a mystery request for a show from Thirsk Mead Hall, you and a couple of girls go over(not knowing who occupies it) there could be various outcomes, massive drunken orgy etc and if things go well, then they agree to help you to locate and catch the various wildlife on the island for the mansion.  I don't know if you wanted to keep the mod on the consensual side of things but if not, after a non consensual outcome that could tie into helping the nords kick them out of the hall etc.

 

Another thing could be opposition to the mansion, it stands to reason not everyone will like whats happening there.  Then there could be various ways to handle the opposing party, straight up killing them, blackmail, espionage etc, although its the focus of the mod, not every quest needs to be sex with animals.

 

With regard to how the mod works, I think one of the biggest issues people had with quests not working was because it added factions to npcs, to pick them for the various training missions but if you have npc replacers installed, which pretty much everyone does it overrides/removes the faction from them.  So I think switching the faction adding over to SPID would remove a lot of the issues.

I don't think the Rieklings are capable of writing, and they can barely speak in an understandable way. 

 

Personally, I wouldn't touch anything in Thirsk Mead Hall, because depending on the decision, there will be either Rieklings or Nords there.

 

But you could use the idea, but ask for help in solving the problem with the Rieklings, because they've been trying to steal women from the town (for a certain purpose) for some time now, so they ask Animal Mansion for help in solving it.

I have an idea in which the Mansion will be visited by mercenaries (enemies of the Mansion or competitors, hidden from the eyes of others?) in order to shut down the Mansion, but unfortunately for them, there was a skilled warrior on site who chased them away/killed them while the PC was in the process of capturing the next creature, etc.

As far as I remember, there is no SPID for the LE version, and we would also like to release it for this version too.

 

I see another solution here, such as using a clone of a specific NPC instead of the original. This should solve the problem with not workong quets. The only thing is that the wuest would have to check if this NPC is alive, and if so, disable the original and replace it with its copy for the purposes of the quest.

 

It will also allow for better NPC control, because some mods can change the schedule, and, for example, the AI from this mod takes priority over the one from AM. As a result, instead of waiting at home, the NPC goes to the tavern for a drink.

I have slightly redesigned the Mansion. I removed a few rooms and reduced their size (the VIP, PC and Thaena rooms remain the same, only rearranged).

I think it's better, but I have two comments. 1) 3x3 size bedrooms are pretty big. That's not a big problem, but it makes them harder to decorate, i.e., fill with furniture. It probably means "living room" type furniture will need to be added to fill the space. 2) Single beds in corners don't work well with the Sexlab camera. Of course, not a problem if sex scenes won't take place there.

 

Also, I can't tell from the drawings, but there should be fire pits in the big open areas, and I would also consider adding some fireplaces to the VIP rooms.
