I assume this is not compatible Folkstead and the Border of Hammerfell? I can't find that small cave and since there is mention of the Bordergate, which gets replaced by the pass to Folkstead, that might explain it. Honestly why not add a mapmarker? At least that way we would be able to see if the location buried due to modified terrain.

Side note: You appear to have uploaded the 3 or 4 versions of 0.2.3 by now. I appreciate it likely being only minor changes, still that's what version number are for, no? To track what version one is on and having several versions with the same number pretty much defeats that idea.

The first two 0.2.3 reuploads were one missing file and then a reupload of the exact same file since someone had an issue with opening the archive. Didn't really think that justified a new version but I made the newest one 0.2.4.

 

I just flew around the stuff added by that mod real quick and I think it should be fine. I don't really know how collisions like that get resolved but the spot where the cave is is still empty. It's before the gate and barely five feet off the road. The cave doesn't open until the quest tells you to look for another way.

 

I am not going to add a marker but maybe I will edit the objective description to specify it is along the road somewhere.

I just reuploaded 0.2.3 with a slightly tweaked navmesh to see if that helps. If you have True Directional movement installed you should also make sure its the latest version since old ones had issue with player pathing during AI scenes.

It's really strange that some people have this problem, who knows what we have in common.
Unfortunately, I don't know enough to find the problem.
Maybe I'll get lucky and someone with more experience will encounter the problem and find a solution.
As for your tip, I don't have True Directional Movement, I don't actually have any mods that affect the camera or AI.

 

When Renna calls Roselle, she comes running, stops briefly as if the AI is trying to figure out what to do, and after a few seconds starts running around the room again.
Maybe it's an animation problem.

 

When I have a few days to spare, I'll have to completely clean up the mod organizer and start from scratch. Maybe the problem is some old issue lurking in another file.
I'll keep an eye on this thread and maybe a solution will be found at some point.

It is of course up to you how to handle the versioning, been just pointing it out. (Alternatives to a "full" new versions would be to add an extra decimal for minor versions that you drop again with the next regular one, or add hotfix, hotfix2. As said though, it's 100% up to you.)

As for the cave, I was at the point where it said something like the Doors are looked and there is no one around, perhaps I can leave the boots somewhere. Paraphrasing here, can't remember the exact wording. So I set out to find a place, but came up empty. Will give it another shoot later.

First off, this mod is already fantastic; I'm already a fan. It's still noticeable that the mod is quite new. The tasks are quite repetitive. I'm curious to see how it will be fleshed out in the future. It can only be great.

However, I must admit that while the daily repetitive exercises are nice to watch and, in my opinion, part of pony training—you have to keep the pony occupied all day somehow—doing the same repetitive routines over and over again eventually becomes tedious.

(That's just my opinion; others may see it differently.)

Perhaps a "learning system" would be possible?

Simply set up for each task: practicing the rearing, walking in a circle, standing in the inspection pose in the morning, and so on. There would be counters that simply count from 1 to 10.

Once you reach level 10, you're considered so well-trained that the exercises are performed automatically.


In other words, I can just sit back and enjoy watching my pony perform the exercises automatically.

If I fail at the tasks, for example, the errand, the counters would be reset by, say, two, so that as punishment, I have to complete all the exercises myself twice more until I'm considered trained again and it runs automatically again.

It would be conceivable to have a MCM (Master Control Module) where this function can be deactivated for those who prefer to continue completing the exercises manually.

 

I don't really know anything about modding.

I wanted to start modding Fallout 4 once, but it's really, really extensive. It's all rocket science to me. Respect for making this mod so good. If I've suggested anything impractical, forgive me.

But I do have a few suggestions.

The pony farm doesn't just train the ponies for fun. No, there's a profit involved.

It could also lend you out to the SLUTS service because there aren't enough ponies available at the moment.

There's the Devious Training mod, which slightly alters your body morphs depending on which DDs you're wearing. If you have enough training, you also get a pony speed bonus.

You could take advantage of that. You could equip different DDs over time, one for a day here, three for a day there. Maybe you didn't complete a task properly and have to wear all of them for a day.

I had real problems with the pose mod at first. It was new to me, and I didn't know how to use it. Later, I got so used to it that I was already standing in the cage posing and waiting. Maybe you can do something with that. You're already standing in the cage and posing. Training counter +1. You need, I don't know, 10 seconds from the prompt to pose until you do it. Training counter -2. Later, there's a whip animation, and you're locked in a bondage rack for 2 hours.

You need 5 seconds to get into the pose counter -1, and only the whip animation.

I personally also love the Bimbos of Skyrim mod.

I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Maybe the people on the ranch will realize that I'm a bimbo too.

They could put a pink harness and boots on me.

The guy who takes you after you run around in circles might get caught eventually.

But hey, it's all good, I'd be a bimbo pony anyway. Bimbo ponies have special needs, after all.

Maybe he'll be my sex trainer.

 

If you're running around Skyrim dressed as a pony, people are bound to notice.

And I would remember that very well. If you're out and about without your pony outfit, NPCs might recognize you. They could be very disappointed that this sexy pony is suddenly walking around normally and get upset. So much so that they might decide to simply put the player into a pony-devious device themselves.

 

I also had trouble with the high-stepping gait at first, until I assigned it to a key I could easily reach.

Perhaps it's possible to activate and deactivate it with a simple keystroke, like sneaking.

Or, you could say all your training counters are at 10, and you'll automatically only ever walk in high-stepping mode because you're so well-trained; it's normal for you now.

No bug report from me this time, I just wanted to share some ideas / feedback I have for the mod.

 

Pony Express task

I feel like almost all of the tasks so far have interesting gameplay and/or fun roleplay and dialogue, that can easily be expanded upon in the future. The only one that I feel falls flat in both of these aspects is the Pony Express task. While the parcel task is similarly "bad" gameplay wise, it's actually pretty fun and engaging overall, because the unlabeled packages force you to find out about and remember the interests and hobbies of all the NPCs on the farm. At least that's the intent behind the task I think. In the Pony Express task in comparison, you literally just walk to map markers for 10 minutes at a time. There's nothing else going except for some very brief (but fun) roleplay in between deliveries. I know it's very hard to make walking from Riften to Solitude interesting, especially after you've done it three times already (SLUTS struggles with that as well imo), but I have an idea.

 

I think it would be a lot more engaging if the temporary speed and stamina buff you get doesn't happen randomly anymore, but is instead rewarded to the player for performing specific actions during a run. The intro to the mod already establishes that Renna is continuously designing, developing and manufacturing new pony gear to sell to her clients. But who is stress-testing the prototypes of the new gear in realistic conditions? I think the ponies doing the express deliveries would be the perfect fit for that job, since they are spending their next few days running around in the wilderness already anyways. Killing two birds with one stone, yay!

 

So for example, before leaving to deliver your letters, your trainer says "Our clients have reported that our leather pony boots get easily damaged when exposed to water. Here is a new prototype for some special water-resistant coating. Go stress-test it pls." And since they want you to actually follow through on that, they add a temporary enchantment to your piercings that gives you the speed / stamina buff for 20 seconds whenever you swim in water for 3 seconds. That way, the player is encouraged to actively look for any bodies of water on the route that they can jump into to cut down delivery times and this also makes Renna happy because the prototype is getting properly stress-tested at the same time. It's a win-win situation!

 

I'm sure you can come up with way better enchantments and the roleplay reasons behind them. The point is to reward the player for paying attention and interacting with the environment more and to offer a way to actively minmax your delivery times. What if Renna just fucking hates spiders for some reason so she makes an enchantment that gives you the buff every time you kick a spider? These enchantments should just be small and easy to implement things that give the player a bit more agency and gameplay during these deliveries. You could give the player 1 or maybe 2 randomly selected enchantments per run so you have some variety. It would also be fun if all of your fastest delivery times got tracked somewhere so you can try to beat your own PBs for some extra personal motivation.

 

Organic ways to learn more about the NPCs on the farm

I think you've talked about how the tasks will get harder with time in the future. I'm guessing the parcel task will get harder by having to gradually deliver more and more unlabeled packages at a quicker and quicker pace, so you are forced to remember more and more stuff about the NPCs on the farm. So assuming I'm right here, then there's a clear need to introduce scenarios where you can learn more about them that are a bit more organic than just asking "Hey, so what do you do for fun?" and then they list 10 things you have to remember.

 

I think all of the NPCs actually live on the ranch, right? And working there seems to be a 24/7 kinda thing. I think it would be fun if the NPCs tried to take advantage of the fact that you are an adventurer with a lot of free time to travel around Skyrim. You could make it so that there's a chance they approach the player while they're on the ranch and not in pony gear to ask for personal favours that reveal a bit about their interests and hobbies, like

  • "Hey, I borrowed my limited edition of "The Lusty Argonian Maid vol. 37" to <random NPC> and want it back. Can you do that for me?"
  • "Hey, I was at <random Inn> recently for a jam session with the local bard. I sadly got drunk and forgot my lute there, can you get it for me?"
  • "Hey, here's some gold. Can you go to <random smith> and buy a dagger? I like collecting them and heard they make some really good stuff."

The reward from these quests would mainly be you getting to know the NPCs better so you have an easier time with the parcel task and also encourages you to stay on the ranch more in general.

Fantastic work! 

On version 2.4 my character still turns blue when she falls. I had SlaveTats ticked in the MCM when that happened (and I had SlaveTats try to register any new tats, so that's not the issue). Am going to try if things improve when I untick SlaveTats. 

Duh... didn't read properly. I have the RaceMenu version.

Yeah it sounds like the travel package that the player uses for that stage in the scene can't finish for some people whatever reason. I could probably fix it by using a triggerbox instead but that's a lot to change and probably don't have time for that right now.

 

You can always use one of the skip options to skip past that quest for now but you would need a new save for that. And if you are having problems in that quest there;s a chance the same problem could come up later anyway.

Yeah I was hoping most people would notice that the chest that was closed before was now opened and look inside it but sometimes people miss it or the letter that spawns inside falls through the floor. Will change that quest objective text to guide the player in the right direction a bit more.

I thought about maybe having some autopilot for some of the tasks but not sure if I will do it or not. Some of the tasks can be monotonous now but in the future the difficulty/complexity will scale so that most of them you will have to pay attention and actually try to succeed.

 

I will probably keep the mod pretty self contained and won't do much/anything to the player when you are not in the valley. I made a comment a while back about some stuff that might get forced on the player when you are in the valley though.

Yeah until I get to making the quests a bit more dynamic and difficult some of the stuff is going to end up pretty mindless/boring, and the Pony Express one can be especially so if it gives you 3 long routes in a row. That quest was one of the first things I made in the original version of the mod that was in Rorikstead instead of where it is now. 

 

I did want to add some subtask or restriction or things like what you mentioned to make it a bit more dynamic. Eventually the time limit would get so short that you would have to do it to have a chance.

 

I like the ideas for the NPC lore too. Can try doing some stuff like that.

Didn't get to play last night, had other ... commitments. :P But ... umh ... you are not talking about that chest at the front door besides the cart? The one with the boots, armbinder and yoke? Because that was open already when I first arrived. That was my first idea to put the boots there, but could not interact with it at all.

Because that was open already when I first arrived. That was my first idea to put the boots there, but could not interact with it at all.

A new DD mod with a Story? Nice! 

First things first, compliments to the Chef, I played through "preview" of the Mod a few days ago and I have to say I am impressed with the quality of what is already there start.

I would like to point out a few bugs I found, and perhaps suggest some edits/changes.

Version used: 0.2.3, all requirements installed. (New Save)

Bugs:
PonyExpressQuest (unable to reproduce)
The Dialog scene to get started for the second run would not start, dialog would end and nothing would happen.

Reloading the Save did nothing to solve the issue.
Completely restarting the day did.  
(Unfortunately I overwrote the save)

ParcelPonyQuest
The added chains for "Handle with Care" Items were not removed after returning for the next item / quest ending (it was the last delivery).
The Night Inspection and the Enslavement ending (the next morning) also did not remove the chains.

Which made me curious, and I found out that none of the inspections actually check if everything is in order.

HotWalkerQuest
After the Trainer leaves Floki erroneously shocked the PC  "Walking the wrong way" this happened once or twice more (for no reason I could see)
The Floki Bride also did not conclude the quest once, a reload did fix it though.

Lastly perhaps make the repeating quest Miscellaneous to stop them from littering the quest log?

Scenes
The Release Scene locked my camera right after waking up.
Which meant that I was staring at the bedroll.

Right after all devices where removed the Recall triggered informing me to return to the Valley (only happened once, I let the sequence play out a few times to check)

Returning
The Door to the Cell was left open and unlocked allowing me to roam free without the quest "FreeRoamQuest" triggering.
Not sure which of those is the bug.
The next morning everything was back to normal.

Dialog
There were a few spelling mistakes and a few oddly structured sentences.
Such as "thoughs" instead of "thoughts" (MemoryQuest), referring to the "vagina/genitals/pussy" as "sex" (Introduction Quest), etc.
It would also be nice to have a bit more variety for dialog that is repeated often.

I have seen you mention that you "aren't much of a writer" in the support thread, I could help proof read and perhaps expand the repeated dialog. (DM me if that would be of interest to you)

Lastly regarding the First enslavement, the first day as a pony is really impressive both in terms of the exposition and the scripting of the scenes themselves. 
The next days would however profit from a more "training the new pony" type quests instead of just handing the player off to the core gameplay loop, because sending the completely new pony with roughly a day of training on a run through Skyrim gives the story a rather strange flow.
In general the quests that send the player out of the valley should, I think, be restricted to the trained and well behaved ponies.

 It goes without saying, but I can't wait to see what you cook up next. Cheers!

Yes, exactly.

 

You must walk up very close to the gate. (I assume there is a trigger box near the gate that advances the quest.)

 

After you get close to the gate, then an "Opulent Letter" spawns in the open chest. You must read the Opulent Letter.

You may have access to the forum and information on how the task will proceed in advance. But your character in the game does not know this. Therefore, he must proceed from what he has learned at that moment. If your task is to return the shoes. then logically, the first thing you must do is to fulfill what you were asked to do. That is, return the shoes.

I'll try and fix most of these bugs for the next major release. I am not sure what you mean when you say the door to the cell was left open when returning though. When does that happen exactly?

 

For the quests that make you leave the valley I was planning to make a short quest that introduces those a bit later since like you said it is a bit odd they come up so fast. They were the first quests I made and were made a while ago when the mod was very different. I just put them in now since they were already done and to pad out how many tasks there are.

 

I would like to do more quests like the first day training but those are harder to write/make/test and aren't really as repeatable. Once the main loop is a bit more stable there will be more quests like that.

When Renna calls me back. And after reporting to Renna. After I'm put back in the stable. This is probably what it's about. I didn't report this myself. I assume that in the future the whole scene of returning to the stable will be changed anyway.

It's really strange that some people have this problem, who knows what we have in common.
Unfortunately, I don't know enough to find the problem.
Maybe I'll get lucky and someone with more experience will encounter the problem and find a solution.
As for your tip, I don't have True Directional Movement, I don't actually have any mods that affect the camera or AI.

 

When Renna calls Roselle, she comes running, stops briefly as if the AI is trying to figure out what to do, and after a few seconds starts running around the room again.
Maybe it's an animation problem.

 

When I have a few days to spare, I'll have to completely clean up the mod organizer and start from scratch. Maybe the problem is some old issue lurking in another file.
I'll keep an eye on this thread and maybe a solution will be found at some point.


Since you and me have the same problem... maybe you could post your mod list and I could check to see what mods we share that could be causing the problem?

When i go to talk the mistress about to agree to be a pony the screen turns black? I can find the seat but i don't lose the black screen?

can someone help me get the quest working the courier does tel me about the location but no quest starts and there are no orc's at the gate. i fix it the mod works now

Wow... Loving the mod so far and the direction it is heading in..  Never thought I'd be playing a Ponygirl in a playthrough but wanted to give it a try and you got me..  Well made and well thought through...  Best advice, take you time with updates and keep getting it as right as you have gotten it so far..  Great work and looking forward to next update eagerly whilst enjoying what is already here..  Thank you for it all.

This has been a very fun mod! Aside from some typos and a bit of difficulty with the intro quest, I haven't found any noticeable issues -- no crashes, no quest wonkiness, and the leashing/movement system actually works surprisingly well. Really impressive, let alone for an alpha/beta mod.


To throw a few suggestions into the pile: more functionality around the reward & punishment system in the mod (I haven't been able to trigger much of a reward or punishment, no matter how bad I've done on tasks, but I assume that's because it hasn't been completed yet), perhaps orgasms or further denial/teasing; and perhaps something between sessions at the ranch. I quite liked the collar and belt that Renna put on the PC between the intro quest and first session, so it could be fun to bring that back in some form (either voluntarily by the PC and/or as a punishment/'reminder' if they did particularly poorly in a session, though that latter option may or may not fit into Renna's personality of delineating sessions/non-sessions) as well as other concepts on the same line of thinking.

You are right that the punishments/rewards haven't been implemented yet. At least the punishments will be in the next version.

 

And the belt and collar could probably come back in some way. Could do something like that eventually.

Give this person all the help they require creating this mod! I just got in the valley and introduced myself to everyone and it looks really promising. Just my kind of kinky mod with good storytelling.
